Novotel Budapest Centrum

Excellent location,amazing building in terms of atmosphere! The staff was excellent and very helpful for all our inquiries concerning coty sig HR s and tickets. Amazing service by the whole staff especially Attiles the front office manager of the reception he arranged a sweet treat for my husbands birthday waiting us in the room and also 2 welcome drinks! Breakfast was beautiful and with-a big variety

The rooms were looking old, for sure they need a make over.. the furniture were old, the bathroom was not a 4*star hotel bathroom and no extras were provided like robes, slippers, shower caps etc. Cheap coffee was also offered in sachets in the room. For sure the rooms need a revamp as they do not match the luxurious feeling given by the establishment and its age.

The hotel was very nice, the atmosphere at the dinning room was really good. Also the stuff were nice to us, and helped with our requests fast. Rooms were efficiently cleaned every day without touching any personal stuff at all, and the location is right above a metro station, a bus station and a few minutes walk from New York cafe. Overall we had a good time.

The breakfast was not the best, would give it a rate of 7.5, there wasn't any sauce or spread to wet your bread with, vegetables looked like they are leftovers from the day before, and didn't look fresh. towels in the bathrooms are vary small and once we even got towels with holes in it which was uncomfortable since it was noticed after the shower and needed to be in use right away. And the rooms are VARY dark, almost no lighting at all, could be a big problem to some people, and very uncomfortable.

Nora who checked me in was so friendly and helpful. There was a part of ceiling missing from my room, the gentleman at reception was really professional, offered to change a room straight away. I didn't change in the end but the ceiling was fixed the next day. Bed is very comfortable. Room is perfect.

It was half under construction which the hotel did not mention while booking. I was planning to sleep in but was woken up by the construction at 9. The next day was a saturday, the construction was supposed to start from 10 but there was some knocking noise from 8.

The location of the hotel is perfect, you are right in the centre and you can fan out and find something to do in any direction, I myself left my hotel everyday and just wandered and was able to find my way back as the hotel is in such an ideal location. Room wise the room was perfect, nice and spacious with a balcony I was able to use to sit and read on, which was a very pleasant surprise as I was unaware I'd get one so that is a good plus, there was also free tea and coffee in the rooms along with water, and the rooms were very clean. Food wise the hotel does well, really good selection of dinner dishes, so much so I mostly ate dinner in my hotel, drinks menu as well as some good cocktails, if you go here I highly recommend the Budapest Mule. Lastly the staff were exemplary, helpful and good insights on what to do in the city, and good to talk to in general, the staff in the bar are also good to talk to and are extremely pleasant, and the cleaners done a very good job at cleaning and polite as well when I ran into them, and lastly front of house staff are very helpful, Daniel helped me clear up a payment issue within minutes, Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

One downside since it is on a busy main road it can be a bit noisy. The restaurant attached to the hotel was closed which was a shame as I was interested in going to it. Lastly however this is really minor, the balcony didn't have the best view.

A comfortable hotel, quiet and clean. Very nice and professional staff personnel. Readily available and helpful throughout the entire stay. Decent breakfast but still there is a place for improvement on it There was coffee machine and tea at the room which is great.

At checkout when i came to pay i was surprised that the price that i was asked to pay is approximately 10,000 Hungarian forients more than the amount i was supposed to pay based on the booking I did on Booking! The desk personnel explained that they only charge in Hungarian forients and the difference is because of change rate from Euros. This is not a huge sum if money but not negligible either and left me with some bitter taste at the last couple of minutes at the hotel after near perfect stay.

Good selection of breakfast. Fast wifi and clean rooms were the main highlights. The location is on the same street with premium hotels so it's really a value for money that can give you some savings to spend in the city instead.

I had a check out issue with one of the staff. I was simply trying to explain that I need my bill in 2 parts as 1+2 nights, however she didn't even let me talk, raised her voice for no reason and in the end had to switch with a colleague with whom I could communicate very easily. If you have a temper management issue, working in the front desk is definitely not a good carrer option for you lady !!!

This is a beautiful art nouveau hotel with a magnificent dining room and other features from this period. Our room was large and at the front of the hotel, comfortable. It was reasonably priced in an excellent location, just round the corner from the beautiful New York cafe, near to the Jewish quarter and within walking distance of many of Budapest’s main attractions. The staff were exceptionally helpfully particularly at the start of our stay when my friend realised she had lost her passport. A very big thank you and highly recommend

Lack of air con in room

Fantastic, spacious, well-equipped, soundproof rooms are a dream come true for any traveler in need of proper rest and room to relax after an intense day out in the city. The prices are slightly on the higher side, which is understandable, given it's a "proper" 4-star hotel. In any case, no couples or family visitors need anything more than what Novotel Center has to offer. Spacious (almost too spacious, honestly) rooms with large TVs and tables which seat up to four, enormous bathrooms with bathtubs and all the hygienic paraphernalia you might need (soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion), complimentary water (both still and sparkling, nice touch), tea, coffee and much more in the way of amenities, soundproof windows and light-blocking curtains. As far as "regular" hotels go, this one is an absolute no-brainer in terms of comfort, location, and value for money. Budapest is full of well-equipped, cozy hotels, especially boutique ones (I've stayed in about 30 of them), but If you have ca. 100 EUR to spend per night per person, Novotel is truly the one to pick.

Nothing at all to complain about.

The building is just exceptional much better in person that on pics. Breakfast is good: fresh and reasonably good quality, definitely worth the extra money. The bed is really comfy, confortable furniture in the room, nice shower and bath and big flat screen with some channels in English. The location is about 20 mins from the touristy area but is a pleasant walk and seems a desirable bustling area of Budapest. It's handy for restaurants within a mins and metro station too. Added bonus is the hotel fitness room. It's has a cable machine and real weights.

The bar seemed a bit tacky and not at the stature of the rest of the building.

Birthday trip to Budapest I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hotel is central and close to everything, very convenient to get anywhere. The room is spacious and clean and I had a very comfortable and fun stay in this room which includes a rich mini bar and a kettle, an espresso machine and care products in the shower. I would like to thank the lovely and professional reception staff Zsofi, Adam, Daniel, Zsolt, David, Reka and Attila :) who answered all my requests and questions every day and gave me an excellent service with a warmth and kindness.
