Hotel Moments Budapest

Feels very luxe from the moment you walk in. Friendly staff greet you at all times. Tasteful decor throughout, coffee/tea station in the lobby is very handy when you get back from a day out exploring the city. We liked the mix of original architectural features and modern retro furniture. The location is excellent, so close to a main square and public transport hub. Very clean hotel and great thorough cleaning by the chamber maids every morning. Book this place you won't regret it

Very minor comments that didn't ruin our stay but are worth mentioning. The beds are slightly on the firm side and the pillows are a bit too soft. The breakfast was great during the start of the week. As we got towards the weekend the hotel filled up and breakfast seemed a bit hectic and the staff were struggling to keep up with refilling items and clearing and resetting tables. The hotel is having some internal renovations at the moment, it would have been good to have known this before booking.com took payment before we arrived, as the floor we were staying on was affected.

The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, super clean and modern! Great central location - good walking distance to all the sights of Budapest! Staff were attentive and very welcoming! Breakfast was great - good fresh selection every morning! The room was spacious and modern.

The bed was rock hard - maybe we are used to a less firm mattress but we didn’t find it comfortable at all and both slept terribly each night sadly! The single thin separate duvets also didn’t help for a good nights sleep. This is the only thing that let the hotel down in my opinion - although many reviews I had previously read said how comfy the beds were so this may just be down to personal preference!

Breakfast included a wide choice, of great quality, beautifully displayed. Staff bent over backwards and asked if anything else could be provided, should we want it. Exceptional attention to our needs. Our standard double room was big with an extremely well appointed bathroom. It was cleaned daily at our request. Bed was very comfortable and I slept far far better than usual - possibly something to do with all the walking, sightseeing. Would definitely recommend Hotel Moments to anybody and would stay nowhere else, should I return to Budapest some day. (A beautiful classic building too.)

Exceptionally nice and helpful staff. Nice lounge with coffee, tea, snacks. Several good restaurants nearby — Lebanese, Thai, Italian, Hungarian. LOCATION. LOCATION LOCATION!! Corner market and pharmacy close by hotel. Good size room. Walk in shower very nice. Coffee maker and mini fridge a plus. Good internet and plenty of places to charge devices.

Breakfast was sad. Seemed like some leftovers. Spoke to very nice manager and he said they were meeting to discuss how breakfast could be improved. Twin beds very narrow! And comforter very narrow also. The staff and manager were very kind and attentive to any issues.

Stayed in the Basilica Suite, the view was magnificent although be aware that the sun and therefore the warmth on the balcony comes in the afternoon. The bottled water was replenished every day and the breakfast served in the room was amazing. The location is really good as well, never more than 10 minutes walk from a lot of great restaurants and bars. Bed is really comfortable and the bath is really deep. For a city centre hotel on a busy street, there was no disturbances for noise which I was pleasantly surprised by. We never even heard the bells from the Basilica our first night.

I thought the shower was only OK and the bathrobes weren't of the quality I would expect. I'm 6'3 and the robe feels more suited to someone around 5'7. We booked a tour through reception and I think it should be made very clear that it will be a private tour and not a group tour, I don't think this was spelled out upon booking so while the tour ended up being really good, it was €510 for the two of us which was just slightly less than the cash we brought out for the whole week. There is a cocktail bar attached to the hotel as well but it seemed like every day it was closed for a private event.

This hotel has everything you need when you are staying in Budapest. The decor is fabulous and the facilities, bedrooms and breakfast are wonderful. The location is perfect no need to use public transport you can walk to all the tourist attractions. We had the Xmas markets nearby and the Danube river about a 15 min walk. The little touches are what make this hotel stand out above the rest. Nice to have free coffee, tea & mulled wine in the lobby available when you arrive back from a freezing day out sightseeing. The hotel is spotless and the bedrooms are so quiet even though you are on the main street the soundproofing is fantastic. Compliments to all the staff who are so friendly and delighted to welcome you to their hotel. Well done to them all. We will definitely be back to stay. Thank you!

Nothing …..can’t fault it at all.

Everything. They just check all the marks. This is easy one of our top 3 hotel stays we had, and we travell a lot. I’ve been at least 10 times in Budapest in various hotels and I’ll never book another one. - Location is perfect: 3 minutes walk to Basilica, Opera or Ferris Wheel. You can walk everywhere without thinking about bus, taxi etc. - Hotel looks amazing, rooms are spacious, it’s quiet, beds and pillows are great, we also had amazing view of Basilica and Parliament. - Staff is just AMAZING, they are all so polite and helpful. - Breakfast is really good, a lot of options and in amazing atmosphere as well (in a restaurant next door). - Complimentary coffee and snack corner in a hotel loby is a very nive touch. You can take a break from city strolling, do a business meeting or just read a book while enjoying free cup of coffee or tea, or a snack. And it’s a solid coffee also, not some usual hotel cheap coffee you get in other places.

Hotel doesn’t have an integrated private garage, but it wasn’t a issue at all since there is plenty of parking space just in front of the hotel on street. Street is filled with expensive shops so it is safe to leave your car there, and with Parkl app it’s easy to pay parking.

Great location near Danube and has a nice sauna and massage available on the lower level(we had an AMAZING one from Mehdi - get him if you can!). They also will provide you with a bag with a towel/robe/slippers for the baths (we went to Szechenyi); you leave a deposit and simply return them when done for refund. Lobby is comfortable and extensive coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar available 24/7. Very nice breakfast buffet with fresh eggs, great bacon, and the vast array of choices at any great hotel in Europe. Very helpful staff printed maps for us and even lent me a pair of scissors I needed. Great place.

Our only negative was that the room felt a bit small, as they had designed the space with a wall dividing the room for the TV. The shower head (rain shower style) was very close to the fixtures making it a bit tight and we are very slim people. Also there was no soft seating except for the bed; a hard little bench space and a single desk chair. The lobby is very nice and comfortable though. Not a deal breaker just not as nice a space.

Breakfast was sufficient every morning Nothing special but enough for everyone’s choice. Location is one of the most convenient around the city for a walk to all major attractions and next to the hop on hop off stops and subway stations. Plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. Upper room is big enough for a couple and our room was facing back side of the hotel with a small street there so it was quiet.

There is a very basic spa: sauna and showers Fitness facility is very small with a few pieces of equipment. It could be helpful to have a second chair in the room for a couple.
