Hotel Deutscher Hof

The Hotel was located in an ideal location only 10 minutes walk to the main shopping arena and historical sites. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Morning breakfast was delicious with a wide variety to choose from. We enjoyed an evening using the sauna facilities,although we paid a fee for their use. We enjoyed visiting historical sites i.e. The Amphitheatre, only a 20minute walk from the hotel. .We also walked to the Roman baths and bridge.

The hotel is located on a busy main road,although it did not affect our stay from a noise perspective.

Stayed just the 1 night at the Hotel Deutscher Hof and had a comfortable stay. Room was a good size even though I was staying in a single room, good shower and comfortable bed. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the Porta Nigra and the town centre. The hotel does front a busy road but my room was in the block to the rear so noise from passing traffic wasn't an issue. Didn't try the breakfast as I left early the following day,

The location was very close to the old city, the room was a good size, the bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

The road noise - the warm weather meant we couldn't completely close the window. With the window fully closed, the room is quiet. The shaving mirror in the bathroom was too high to be useful.

Great location on south end of pedestrian zone, close to Kaiser/Barbarathermen, Romer Bruecke. Convenient pay parking. Wine and beer available for sale. Ready to heat/eat food available and you can use the breakfast room facilities. Elevator! Wonderful breakfast. In our room the toilet is separate from the bath. Comfy bed.

Like most places no fan or A/C, so I don't think I'd want to stay there in hot weather. Some rooms are by a busy street. Internet was OK.

A very welcoming and comfortable hotel in an excellent location, close to city attractions and shops. We were offered a good deal on our 2 night stay....a bottle of local wine in lieu of room service... a win/win arrangement! We also liked the tea/coffee making facilities in our room.

The only negative was that the quilts/doonas were too warm for this time of year. It's a common problem in Germany.

The hotel is situated just on the south side of the old city of Trier, and everything in the old city is easily within walking distance. The room was very nicely arranged, and the staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, and well worth the cost. Hotel room was very clean and quiet.

No aspects of the stay fell short of our expectations.

We came to visit the city and failed to get a room in Mercure so we chose this hotel by chance. This was a very good choice we never regreted. The room was huge! We had everything we needed. Personnel was pretty nice. Breakfast was good. There was quiet in the area. We took a walk to see all the attractions - they weren't far.

When we entered the room everything was ready but it seemed that the houskiping forgot to clean the toilet. As it was late at night the guy from the reception cleaned it himself and appologised. The other problem was that despite it was Sept. 19th it was very hot in the room (26 degrees) and we had to keep the windows open all day and night.

Good location. The old town was across the street from the hotel. Parking was onsite and the room was larger than what I have found at other hotels in the same price range.

Everything was fine. However, having stayed in various hotels in Germany during this trip I find the breakfasts to be good, but the same everywhere.

The staff was super nice and attentive. The room was a good size, with a comfy bed and very clean. Shower had good water pressure. I really liked the special deal where you could get a bottle of wine in exchange for only having your room cleaned at the end.

Pillows were a bit flat

very clean and we were lucky to get a free upgrade to newly refurbished large apartment. the staff were very helpful and able to converse in English which helped a great deal. the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the main centre.
