Hotel Köppeleck

This place has a special spot in our hearts. Just 2 miles from everything, Königsee, Jennerbahn, Berchtesgarden, great quiet and serene location. You'll find a well appointed sparkling clean room aaannd to our surprise either a terrace or balcony with comphy garden furniture. After a day of hiking and adventure the perfect place to put your feet up and to relax and enjoy the good air and views into the mountains. Bed is nice and comfy. If you like, you can mingle in the beergarden or have a yummy dinner. In the morning you'll get treaded to a filling breakfast that will keep you going all day. Heading to Berchtesgarden you will owe it to yourself and have a stay at the Köppeleck.

Great location to explore königssee and the eagle's nest, plenty of parking, big tv in the room, and the room itself was big enough, with a little balcony, which i guess all rooms have. Breakfast was nice, dinner ok, there is a sauna and you can book an hour privately.

The curtains could have been more darker to get the early daylight out. Maybe a bit more light in the room, especially above the wardrobe, would be appreciated. Bathroom was small but ok

Breakfast has good variety and choices. Room was Ok except for the bathroom, which is quite minimum size. Location was nice in the green and not far from the Königsee by car. Walking would have been a bit far in the hot weather which was the case during our stay.

The Chinese receptionist who spoke German very fast with strong Chinese accent to the extent that it´s alomst non-understandable. The check-in process did not make us feel a friendly welcome.

The hotel has great view, in the middle of the mountains. We were provided 2 rooms adjacent to each other, and rooms were clean and big. The parking space in the front of the hotel is a big bonus - no hassle there. Check-in is quick and painless. The breakfast was exceptional, even though the hotel only has us as guests.

We probably were the only ones staying in the hotel, given that it was off-season. During dinner, we were served heated-up food, which was still cold in the middle. Food was not good.

We had a great time at Hotel Köppeleck. - The food was delicious (breakfast and also the meals at the hotel's restaurant). The strawberry cake served in the morning was great :) - One of the main advantages was the hotel's spacious private parking. - Great location and views.

There wasn't anything that has dissapointed us in any way. The breakfast was very good and rich. But just a friendly suggestion - it would be wonderful if you would also serve bacon / some kind of sausages for breakfast, for those who are planning some physical activities in the mountains for the day, which means they need lots of calories to do that :) Maybe also some grilled/sautéed vegetables etc. Nevertheless, everything was great.

We booked a room the night before our arrival and the hotel was one of the best value ones in the area. On the first day, my wife got a bit sick and I called to ask for some medicines. The receptionist was quick to come to our door and offered different types of medicines which was very helpful. And on our last night, the 2 nearest restaurants were fully booked so we ended up having dinner at the hotel and it was very tasty.

hotel was clean, beds and pillows were super comfy, very nice view from our window, breakfast was excellent, there's 2 massage chairs which you can use for free. The best part was during check out and we can't get a taxi because of the traffic, so the receptionist offered that one of her colleagues will drive us to berchtesgaden bahnhof, ends up the owner of the hotel was the one who drove us to the bus station (FOR FREE 👏). It's not so near to Königsee but you can take the bus for free with your tourist card which you can get from the hotel or you can choose to walk approx. 20-25mins while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. We really had a great time during our stay and we will definitely be back in this hotel next time.

The breakfast and dinner was great. Special thanks to the owner who allowed us to check out later, storing our bikes and even helped out with some potato chips. The whole staff was very friendly and it is a perfect budget place to stay with a group. The massage chairs and the sauna are an extra plus! Was a pleasure and we can definitly recommend this nice hotel.

We booked a triple room and it was quite spacious with a big bathroom. Great location, close to the lake. Staff was very helpful and friendly and food at the hotel restaurant really tasty.

My folks stayed in a standard double and complained the bathroom was very small. They were also woken by party goers two night in a row.

Great room for 3 people with an exceptional view and so many windows. Very quiet as it is just in the middle of the meadows. Clean. The bad is very soft and comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff. We were offered a separate room for our mother without any additional payment. Her room was also great with a perfect mountain view. Restaurant food was fresh and tasty, great pork preparation.
