Hotel Sauerlacher Post0

Wonderful old building, decor superb. Close to train station (good for not having to drive and park in Munich), and also for getting on to motorways to visit Bavaria and it's castles, lakes etc. We stayed in a lovely suite, with bathroom and mini-kitchen, which had a fridge, sink, hob, microwave, kettle. Directly opposite a supermarket, and very close to a lovely Italian restaurant. The hotel restaurant was very good, as was the adjoining Bavarian restaurant.

Our suite was not accessible by lift, but by an outside stone staircase. We were touring, so our cases were heavy. We asked for assistance, and the staff were happy to oblige immediately.

Great location within an easy walk of train station and small village restaurants and shops; tremendous value for the money, the best I have ever enjoyed so close to a major city (obviously Munich), and the room is excellent in a no frills sort of way. Outstanding breakfast with full buffet offering everything from scrambled eggs to smoked salmon to fresh fruit to yogurt to crepes. Also liked the lobby bar and convenient display of snacks for sale; and the staff did not charge penalty despite very last minute change to my arrival (was a day late). To repeat, an astonishing value for the money, and great location in the charming village of Sauerlach in the Munich suburbs.

Very minor quibble since I spent most of my free time enjoy village restaurants, but a few more English-language TV stations would be nice, not just news, perhaps ITV 3 and 4 from the UK as I have found at other hotels in German-speaking countries; to be sure, this would not keep me from coming back..

Great location for a stop-over. Nice setting with Biergarten, easy parking. Clean and comfy rooms. We did a nice after-dinner stroll through the village and surrounding fields. We had a quick breakfast at the bakery next door.

Our one room had a fan, our other room did not. We enquired but there were no more fans. The rooms were really warm, of course it had been very warm these past few days. Opening the windows gave a lot of traffic noise, somehow there was continuous heavy traffic, also late at night and early morning.

Very friendly staff. Staff organised late dinner even though restaurant was closed already after our late arrival. There is a nice beer garden around the back! Parking places were available even though we arrived late. The room was clean and comfortable. Especially the shower was very good. The breakfast buffer was really good. Good variety of food - including Weißwurst. And tasty croissants.

The room was is located under the roof and it was very hot with no fan or air condition. On the other hand, there were mosquito nets on the windows and the windows could be opened wide.

Everything went smoothly. Room was quite spacious. Also the restaurant was quite big and we could get a seperate room for our travel group. We were with about 33 people so we were a bit loud and that was no problem because of the seperate space we got

the rooms were really warm and it was hard to get some good sleep because of it. There was no good way to cool it off either. We opened a window (it was -2C outside) but even that did not help much.

Very beautiful place, excellent staff and location for what I went there for. The only thing for me was I did not realize the room did not have air conditioning, so it was a bit warm for me, but overall I would recommend this location

That the room did not have air conditioning, but that is my fault because I did not realize that when I booked a room

The hotel is well located. We were very happy about the rooms, they were very nice clean and tidy. The room and the bathroom were both spacious and comfortable. You can find a bakery and a shop right next to the hotel and also a few restaurants.

The room was super hot when we arrived and there is no AC, but it cooled down at night, so it was not such a big deal.

The staff team was excellent. We spoke to several members of the team and all of them were polite, friendly and very helpful when we asked them for directions, an ironing board and taxis :) The hotel was warm and cosy, unfortunately we didn't try the sauna but it was great anyway. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and they didn't mind if we stayed a bit longer than breakfast time to finish our coffee and chat.

Heating was on in the hotel which was lovely but it made the bedrooms very hot. Would have been nice if you could adjust the room temperature yourself

Beautiful hotel for a 3 star hotel. Everything was tidy and clean. We got quick response on the messengers I have sent. Complimentary drink and small snack. Bathroom nice and big. Beautiful decoration and we had a good sleep! Parking was great as well.

Bit struggling how to find the hotel once you're there. Going straight or left as you saw the sign at 2 places by the traffic lights.

Did not buy breakfast (very pricey). Parking limited because of construction, so we parked on the street. Very nice rooms. Flabby pillows. Very good restaurant with moderate prices and great service. Helpful and pleasant staff. This is a good small town location not far from Munich with excellent public S Bahn stop nearby.
