ibis Köln Centrum

I was in Cologne for a conference at the University, thus, I looked for a hotel close to the conference venue that I could reach on foot I booked at Ibis. The room was small but very well organized. I could see the majestic cathedral towers from my window—a nice view. Breakfast was okay and everything was continuously refilled until 10 am, nothing would be missing as well as for late breakfast. The staff is also kind.

Breakfast good, comfortable bed. Room adequate. Good price/ quality ratio. Enough table/ shelf space for a short stay. Excellent location - tram very near. All staff were polite.

No tea or coffee in the room. Bathroom a little small. One receptionist knew nothing about a taxi to the airport - she said it would cost around 20 euros but it was 45. The electronic bill you sent was addressed to 'Herr' June Cook - I'm female and always have been! Level of training of staff was inconsistent - some were knowledgeable and professional, others didn't really seem to know what they should do.

You won't find a better cheap stay in the city. Relatively close to the city center, clean rooms, quite spacious for the money with a surprisingly nice view from the window. Friendly staff, they borrowed me an iron and were generally quick with checking me in and out.

Slightly small bathroom, especially the toilet was positioned weirdly in the corner, but I didn't mind it. No wardrobe, just coat hangers. You also can't turn off the main light and use only the one by the bed (mildly annoying).

The staff were very pleasant, helpful, accommodating and attentive, going the extra mile.

The room had everything I needed. For some it might be a little too basic. The shower was fantastic but the bathroom rather tight and I'm not tall nor overweight. So might have to be a bit of a squeeze for larger guests. There might be other rooms with bigger bathrooms - I'm just describing the one I stayed in.

Great Location, clean , friendly staff members, bar & easy parking access. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, as round the corner theres a lovely BackWerk with a variety of items!

Toilet/shower was a little tight but we managed . It’s doable for a short stay. Ig traveling longer consider buying the necessities as they Don’t provide it only body shampoo. But its not a biggy ☺️

Clean and affordable. Close to city public transportation, but you can walk to most of the attractions in the city from the hotel. The staff was great and spoke English, which helped as our group only had one person who spoke a bit of German.

It's a bit far from the east part of the city that's across the river but that doesn't really matter as public transportation is really good.

We have spent 5 nights at the hotel. Our stay was perfect and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, there are plenty of options outside :) Room was not big but we had all necessary elements there.

We were missing tea/coffee making facilities. It would be very good to have, but then again, we were eating outside so no real issue here...

The room and the bathroom were clean and, despite small size, well furnished. The staff was friendly, and we got the help that we needed (fill in hot water in thermos at the reception, fix the problem with the room key card). The location is perfect for exploring the city by public transport and by foot. We got a very quiet room as asked: didn't hear any neighbors or much of noise street. There are several coffee shops and restaurants nearby. It was possible to buy drinks in the hotel lobby in the evening including some wheat beer :)

Electric kettle in the room would be great to have. It was quite hot in the room, so we had to sleep with open windows

There was a good selection for breakfast, considering the price, I'd say it was a great spread. The staff was very friendly and assures that your table and the buffet stays clean.

The room was considerably pretty small and it was hard to move around in it for 2 people. The bathroom felt really cramped at most times. For a hotel, the room has pretty thin walls, but it wasn't too bad.

Breakfast is fantastic, room is okay. A bit small but quite enough. Bathroom small and just okay for a short live. Employees are very nice and speak good English. There is an IDIL grocery store two minutes away, price is okay. Right beside the IDIL, an Indian restaurant named Kamasutra is recommended.
