Hotel Europäischer Hof Heidelberg

We loved this family run hotel. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. All staff from reception, restaurant to house keeping are so friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and excellent value for money. Both dinner and breakfast was delicious. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this hotel.

We enjoyed the attention to details. From the moment of arrival to the flowers in every room. The room was more elegant than expected with fabulous beds, linens and fresh flowers. Housekeeping was quick to respond to any request, and the room was very clean. The restaurant waitstaff was exceptional, the food was delicious. We were going to do the 3 course menu but after the first course changed our minds and added a 4th course due the the fact it was so good. The bar is cozy and elegant. The spa facility was just what we were looking for after sightseeing around Heidelberg. We used the Sauna as well as the pool. we look forward to returning

-No Room service after 11 -Ordered eggs and waited for one hour to get it. Informed more than one waiter. Finally we left without it. But overall the breakfast was great.

Excellent location in the very heart of the City and so easy to walk the kilometre long car free high street with its interesting variety of shops and restaurants. Access to walks along the Neckar and to the castle also easy. Smiley and helpful staff at every level. Very obvious still a family owned and family run hotel with happy staff. Lovely to see. Bed was so comfortable (although we had a double bed - we each had our own self-adjusting mattress and our walk-in shower was also a real plus. We also enjoyed a fabulous dinner and breakfast the following mom. We stayed two nights and will definitely return as we travel to see our grandchildren in Switzerland at least twice each year.

This hotel was fabulous - worth every penny. We even added an extra night to our stay because we loved it so much. We traveled with our 1 year old son and the staff was more than happy to accommodate a crib in our room, no charge. The breakfast was wonderful, anything you could want, even champagne! Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed, the bathroom was so clean it shined and the turndown service was a lovely touch. We'd 100% stay here again if we came back to Heidelberg!!!!

We had very great stay here in Europaischer Hof. The hotel staff are very friendly & helpful. It’s first time we take our 2years old daughter travel to Europe, we felt welcomed everywhere. The hotel room are spacious with both modern and classic design. We can enjoy many oil paintings / masterpiece all around. We enjoy the hotel breakfast very well. My little daughter even get a surprise toy from hotel manager. Thanks a lot for everything. We will back some day.

Nothing

This hotel is one of our favorites, and we look forward to each of our many visits there. It is old world elegance combined with modern amenities. Our suite had been recently renovated and was large, comfortable, quiet and clean. We enjoyed breakfast in the dining room, a light dinner in the bar, and dinner outside in the garden area with our friends. The spa and indoor pool are great places to relax. The hotel is located in the heart of Heidelberg, close to stores, restaurants, the pedestrian street, the university, the castle ruins, the cable car, and the boat tours on the river. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We hope to be back soon!

Everything was exceptional!

Absolute gem in the middle of Heidelberg. Staff is attentive, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Comfortable room w all amenities including air conditioning. Public spaces are beautifully furnished. Puppy dog was welcomed and spoiled. Parking for our SUV was easy. Quick walk to pedestrian zone, boat trips, and public transport. Would have loved to be able to stream shows on TV but that’s a tiny thing. Would return to Heidelberg just for this hotel.

The hotel is exquisite and grand! You feel like in a castle :) Staff on reception is really friendly and helpful (they brought spoons to room, once we asked them). They also gave fruits and a birthday cake for free!) The room is spacious, comfortable, and warm, with beautiful furniture, a big nice bed, a modern TV, and a spectacular view of the inner yard. Big and light bathroom; great SPA zone with wonderful pool and massages. The hotel is quite close to Hauptbahnhof and city centre.

The only disadvantage is a high price.
