Good location. Helpful staff even though we were Very Disappointed that Booking .com did Not reserve a room with a river view as stated in our original confirmation. The view would have made a HUGE difference. We looked on to a small interior courtyard. We called Booking. Com and sat on hold for 15 minutes. DO NOT use Booking.com. !!

The view we were promised by Booking . Com was not available. The hotel itself does not guarantee a river view room and the difference is Huge. It's all in the luck of the draw. We saw 2 beautiful view rooms while staff were cleaning. Booking.com confined rooms with river view on our original booking. DISHONEST practice. Don't use them.

The location was premium right by the bridge gate into the old city. The staff was friendly and helpful, spoke fluent English. I was offered a cool drink while I waited during check in. The room was comfy and the bed soft. The restaurant in the first floor was fantastic.

The room key had a card that was used to activate the lights in the room. I didn't test the outlets to see if this would interfere with charging devices while exploring the town but it did mean going into a dark room to relock the door and THEN putting card on the key chain into the lights-on slot. Parking was also paid, their associated lot is a few blocks away up near the Castle but the discount card they gave me did work.

The Holländer Hof hotel was directly across from the historic bridge, and perfectly located for walking the alstadt (old town). Although the breakfast was delicious, we did choose to eat out several days to enjoy other types of foods. Nadine, Concierge/Receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly, especially as related to getting about and to various venues.

Perhaps a typical American issue, but the air conditioning systems had not yet been activated for the season and we found the room a bit stuffy. Luckily the hotel provided us with a fan to circulate air, and all was then well.

The hotel had our room ready early which we were not expecting but appreciated. The staff was so helpful. Our room looked over the river. The room and bed was very comfortable The hotel is centrally located and very close to all main attractions. Our room faced the river which was awesome! Loved the view (bonus we were able to watch the fireworks from our room-they only happen 3x a year) Would definitely recommend this hotel

We were told we got discount parking as parking is not included or at the hotel). Then they could not accommodate and to get back $9($19 eu per day parking) we would need to fill out a form to get our money back credited to our account (we would of lost exchange and not comfortable giving others our banking information). We just paid and left. As it is centrally located the roads were busy with traffic and people so we could not open our window. (Honestly it was minor issue but still needs to be told)

We had room 342 with great views of the old bridge and the Neckar river. Beds are comfortable and whilst at night the noise in front of the hotel is not too much, closing the windows may keep the room too warm for your comfort. We had a great stay for a weekend.

During the weekend it is not easy to get your car in front of the hotel to unload your luggage. It is very busy with tourists and it will be difficult to the find a parking spot in the P12 (reduced daily fee of 10€ for hotel guests) parking garage. All manageable as long as you do not mind the cars behind you queuing on the street whilst you wait to get on the private grounds of the hotel, where you can park for 20min to unload/load.

I love this hotel , the location is superb - directly opposite the old bridge and we were blessed to have a beautiful view. Everything is within walking distance , the castle , old town, supermarket , restaurants and pedestrian strip. The traditional German buffet breakfast was set in a charming room . We visited at Christmas time and the decorations were beautiful, each window had a different festive arrangement . There was a lovely Christmas tree in the reception area and a Weihnachts Teller for guests to take a chocolate , I felt this was such a caring and generous gesture . The staff are friendly and very welcoming . I will definitely return for another visit .

Reception very good with excellent English. Large room overlooking the river and old bridge.Breakfast had everything you could wish for.

Difficult to find using sat nav which told us to go over old bridge which is not possible. and meant a long detour. The entrance road to the hotel when we eventually were close is confusing and looks like pedestrian only zone. Staff will lower chained area to let you unload. Parking is a 5 minute walk away uphill in secure public car park for which you get a discount.

fantastic location and the staff were so welcoming and thankfully for me fluent in English too. The bed was amazingly comfortable and excellent shower. Only one pillow but I discovered too late that you could just ask for more Well stocked drinks fridge and safe in room. There’s no food service though and coming from uk I found it odd that there is no tea or coffee making facility in the room especially as there’s no room service. Still there are cafes close by and a superb Chinese restaurant next door called Asia

Just the lack of tea and coffee making option in the bedroom and had quite a few minutes wait to check out as reception staff also serving breakfast so I would allow 20 minutes not ten next time as I was rushing for taxi wait in outside

The location of the hotel in relationship to everything in old town is excellent. The hotel is across the street from the old town Bridge with the monkey and is an easy 5 minute walk to the castle fanicular. There are pleanty of restaurants next-door and close to the hotel. The room was spacious, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious.

This is a great hotel with nothing to complain about, except the lift only traveled to the 3rd floor and then you needed to take stairs to the 4th floor. This is not a complaint just a surprise especially after traveling 12 hours to reach Heidelberg. Once we finally reached our room we were greeted with a king sized bed, air conditioning, and an awesome shower with great water pressure!

Wow! What a charming place with a view of the Neckar River and the bridge!! We couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel or location! Nora - the first staff member that greeted us upon arrival - was very friendly and helpful. All the staff was very friendly! Our room was right in front with a view of the river and the old bridge - exceptional! We were that for 2 nights during the weekday and encountered no loud noises. There was no air conditioning but there was a big fan in the room. We loved our room with king bed with a nice big desk in the living area. The room and bathrooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a large variety of food. It was very convenient for us to wake up and just go up a few stairs to the dining area. The staff was very friendly and helpful with places to visit and eat. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and we will definitely stay here again!

The parking was a bit awkward, but didn't take away from the charm and location of the hotel. We were able to drop off our luggage first before we parked the car. And on departure we were able to drive car in front of hotel to load our luggages. So parking wasn't really an issue. It was interesting how the hotel still uses actual keys and that you had to leave them at the front desk whenever you left the hotel. But at least we knew we would never lose our key! Just the few little differences from the "norm" of other modern hotels (parking, key) was not anything to take away from this wonderful hotel!
