Wittelsbacher Hof Swiss Quality Hotel

For 82eur per night I had excellent breakfast and mini SPA with very fine sauna and super small yet fine swimming pool. Plus incredible view of maintains from my room. Yes it is not the best hotel out there but it has charm and has at this price awesome value to offer. By the way it is close to the center and train station. It also has something special attracting interesting people. If you book keep your expectations in line with the price.

I would have hoped to get the tourist card for free buses upon arrival as I would have saved 10eur in getting to Eibsee. Coffee and scramble eggs could be refined.

Breakfast was outstanding with a variety of food selections, and the service was very attentive, and welcoming, and friendly. The room was very clean, and attended to very well, and was very comfortable to relax in, and unwind. The location was very near the public transportation, which was a bonus, and a voucher for free local bus rides for the duration of my stay was included, which was an additional bonus!

The weather! The cloud cover didn't allow me to make it up to Zugspitze, but that is not the fault of the hotel. At least the hotel lobby had a TV monitor of the mountain top, to let the quests know what the conditions were before heading out. Otherwise, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Great Job!

The breakfast had a very good selection and the staff that assisted were very helpful. The afternoon tees were also well prepared and welcome should one have time. The rooms were large and nicely furnished. There was a nice indoor pool to swim in. The location is within walking distance of the train station and being central one can reach everything in the area by foot, bus or taxi

There was little to not like. Perhaps in the evening a restaurant in the hotel would have been appreciated. Perhaps the apparent lack of maintenance in the hotel can prove a problem but it must not.

The mountain view from the room was beautiful! Nice little table and chair on the terrace as well. The breakfast staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and I really enjoyed being able to order the scrambled eggs, bacon, omelettes, etc fresh! It makes all the difference. The coffee was excellent as well.

The pillow on the bed was really big so it made it difficult to sleep as you couldn't lay your head flat. The hotel is also not very sound proof so you can hear everything in the hall and in other rooms nearby.

Very clean. located in a quieter side of the town - but only a 7 min walk from Railway / Bus Station and the pedestrianised area of town with most of the restuarants. All rooms have lovely views. Nice, quiet rooms at back of hotel. Excellent, substantial breakfast

The hotel is located on a main road. Road noise for those rooms at the front of the hotel can be intrusive at night. There are lovely very, quiet rooms (that overlook the gardens) at the back of the hotel - one of which we managed to move to after our first night.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff was well trained, extremely helpful. Menu was good and more than adequate. Location was exactly where we needed to have our stay, close to the center. Within easy walking distance of stores, restaurants, etc. Clerk at reception was absolutely great. He was always willing to help, provide directions, offer advice and take care of ay problems that occurred. Parking was on a first first-service basis but was adequate to meet our needs.

Wonderfull Art Deco hotel. The staff couldn’t be more helpful or polite. They managed to locate the owners of a local restaurant ( which was closed for two day’s holiday) and retrieve the handbag that my wife left there. Good sauna and relaxation room and garden, small pool. A very good breakfast with a huge selection of teas. The room was large and despite it’s location was extremely quiet. If you appreciate good polite service above modernity then this is the place to stay

The underground parking is a little tight to manoeuvre a large car.

The family room I booked consists of two bathrooms, two bedrooms each with sitting / dining area, one room had balcony overlooking the Zugspite and other mountains, the other room had french doors opening to the Partach river ( with constant moving water sound). The spa area with pool, sauna, lounges, and view of garden with mountains in the background was very nice!

The room decor was somewhat dated, but not really an issue when weighed against all the positive aspects.

the location is perfect and only a 7 min walk from the train station and are loads of shops and restaurants around you. the staff are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable there’s a complimentary tea time between 4-5 you can see mountains from room breakfast is amazing! and the dining area is beautiful it has a sauna and pool but I didn’t use it

i liked everything my only very minor thing is that tea isn’t served with milk so you have to ask each time but that’s just personal preference !

(1) our shower tubs (in both rooms) were pretty full of limestone, meaning we couldn’t get water put of it. we believe the shower needs maintenance. — (2) the lights all around the mirror in the bathroom go overheated when switched on. they are an old type and should be replaced with modern ones.
