We had a great room - they upgraded us when they realized I had expected they have their own parking. They do but it is limited number of spaces and at a charge. The Schlossberggarage is a very manageable walk if you exit the parking from the back at level 0 and just keep heading straight in. They allow you to drive in to drop luggage, but it is stressful to drive through the crowded pedestrian area. But back to the upgraded room - worth the price! I would go for that if I get a chance to go back. We overlooked the Cathedral courtyard. Breakfast was wonderful and had great staff. I liked that the pastries (cinnamon rolls, chocolate rolls, etc.) were delicious and not large - quality over quantity.

The location was fantastic. The view from the window is the cathedral. The hotel is located in the Market square. Every morning vendors come and set up local fare, breakfast and lunch stations, gifts etc. We were here in June snd it wasn’t too crowded to be very very pleasant. The vendors leave in the afternoon and the market square has 7-8 restaurants, ice cream, wine bars. We didn’t explore, just enjoyed 2 full days in this location.

We had a car and parking is off site, about a 4 min walk. The hotel is in a pedestrian area. We knew this, but it would be a challenge if you did not. Taxis can drop off.

A comfortable, hotel in a period building which comes in two parts, each with its own entrance, one facing the cathedral in the main square and the other a quiet street. I was in the latter section in a prettily decorated antique-style room. The atmospheric dining room in the section of the building which faces the main square serves very good, if no frills, food. I can recommend the trout. Short walk to the railway station, friendly, helpful service and fresh apples in the bedroom.

Communication with the hotel before I arrived was superb. On arrival, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were comfy although lacking coffee and tea facilities. It was a traditional hotel in the 'old' style. Loved the flower pots outside my bedroom window!

Although the location was superb, I didn't realise my bedroom overlooked the cathedral whose bells kept me awake at night. Unfortunately, because the weather was so warm and there was no air conditioning (just a fan), I had to have the window open. It was a perfect storm of loud bells every hour and hot weather. The hotel provided earplugs but they weren't really efficient enough.

Great location, directly across from the cathedral. The Saturday farmers’ market on Saturday is directly in front of the hotel. Easy to walk to from the train station. Nic le property, but divided into two parts, which wasn’t particularly well explained. To get to our room, which faces the cathedral, we had to walk through the hotel’s restaurant. Most of the staff was great, and the dinner in the hotel’s restaurant was excellent. The room was comfortable and well appointed.

Some of the front desk staff could use a refresher course in hospitality training. They were brusque and unhelpful. Travelers checking out on Sunday, beware. You are not allowed to leave your bags at the hotel past noon. However, the younger staff was great, particularly Francesca from the front desk, as well as all of the restaurant staff. The bathroom amenities are limited to all in one liquid soap/body wash/shampoo.

Ants in room but cleaning staff did good job every day. Perhaps bette explair reception is on different street as Google maps took us to Munsterplatz and albeit we pressed a side door staying reception there was no response and restaurant was closed. But these are cosmetics.

Fabulous location on Münsterplatz overlooking the cathedral. Comfortable rooms. Staff very helpful on arrival and in getting wifi sorted out when it failed - thereafter it worked reasonably well. No air conditioning but large fan was reasonably effective.

Breakfast was fairly limited and quite regimented. Parking garage quickly fills up, but public garages are not too far away and discounted for longer stays. Old, historic building inevitably means some of the facilities and style are quite old-fashioned.

This hotel had a friendly and helpful staff and was clean and comfortable. It had a great location in the heart of the old town, which was where we wanted to be.

Parking was convenient, as it was right next door. But it was a very small space and was difficult to maneuver. Other cars had to be moved in order to get our car out. but, once again staff was very helpful.

The location of the hotel is great, it's right by the Münster. When the windows are open, one can hear the Münster bells, but the noise cancellation of the windows is impressive - with the closed windows we didn't hear the church bells despite being so close. Breakfast was delicious, there was even the local cuvée (brut and alcohol-free). We enjoyed our stay!

Location is superb. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. The room was spacious and comfortable with a fabulous view of the cathedral.

I wish there was 24x7 front desk facility. Internet wasn’t working at all. For this reason, I may not stay here again.
