ibis Styles Hotel Berlin Mitte

This is an above-average hotel in the heart of Berlin. I've stayed here many times on business and appreciate that it has clean facilities and is centrally located. The hotel is easily accessible with public transit and is a short (direct) tram ride from Berlin Hbf.

This isn't the hotel's fault, but I'm bummed that the bakery that used to be right next door is now closed. It seems that it will be replaced by a frites (French fry) restaurant, which isn't very practical. Anyways, breakfast is a bit overpriced at this hotel so I usually went to that bakery instead, fortunately there are other options in the area.

The staff was great, and that more than once. And the location is the absolute highlight. Next to many of the most important things to do in Berlin. And a really fine milieu of restaurants in the direct neighborhood.

It was quite loud in the rooms. The street where the hotel is located just does not sleep! Another point that could be improved would be the cleanliness. The room was clean, and the house keeping came by. However, not every corner was cleaned. Also the room was very small and had no more than a bed and two side table and a small table that just consumed place and was not really useful.

There was something wrong with the magnetic cards for use in door and lift. Sometimes I had to get 2-3 cards in one day because they kept failing. A royal waste of time and much frustration. It was not just me . Other guests were saying the same thing. Staff could not do anything about it !!!!!!!!I would have preferred a room away from the Platz as it was very noisy all night.In future could one ask for a room away from the street noise?

Ibis Styles Mitte is a good balance of cost, comfort, and location for a city-break. The hotel is located in the heart of Rosenthaler Platz, immediately accessible to U-bahn and tram lines. Lots of great bars and restaurants surround the property in addition to Prenzlauer Berg and Hackescher Markt being within walking distance. The room was clean and the staff were great. And the price was phenomenal during the dates of my stay, especially compared to neighboring properties.

My main dislikes would be size of the rooms (very small for two people + luggage) and the lack of air ventilation/climate control in the winter months. The room was very stuffy (despite having the heating turned off). Our only option was to open the window since there was no fan-only functionality. This meant lots of noise.

Free Coffee and water downstairs. They kept our bags and allowed us to have coffee and freshen up when we fetched our bags. Good view of the street from the room. Great food places nearby. Supermarket nearby. Rosenplatz Metro line 30m from the entrance with many tram and bus stops within 100m. Room was odd shaped but really disabled friendly.

Construction work at a shop downstairs with drilling in the wall was very loud. Management didn't change our room when requested. Emergency switch chords we're not labeled and could be confused for a light switch.

Amazing location, really easy to get around from there, right next to a train station and tram but also walked to a lot of tourist spots easily. The room was comfortable and the staff were nice! There were free hot drinks from midday-10pm every day and a water dispenser 24/7.

The room smelt a bit. If you don’t get the breakfast option (which I think is quite expensive at 15 euros each) then you cannot have a hot drink before midday as you have no kettle in your room.

Everything. This stay was perfect, I had a couple of friends staying at a local hostel but due to last minute plans I decided to stay at the Ibis. Check-in was so smooth after a struggle with language barriers on my way from the airport. Location was prime, just on the corner from the the train station and central enough that you could pretty much walk to every hot spot. Restaurants filled the street too. The room was clean and the perfect size for one to two adults. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Not much really! Staying alone is it a bit daunting but the staff at the Ibis made me feel very safe and secure.

The location is excellent with easy access to all forms of transport. Underground, overground , trams and buses. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice.. We particularly liked the fact that hot drinks were available all day as well as water as we had paid for b&b. Fresh friut and lovely freshly baked bread.

Only downside was there was no where to put towel inside the shower. You had to open shower door in order to put down non slip towel. Noise from toilet as not floor to ceiling walls

Very central location! Clean & modern structure, comfortable stay. Air conditioning was great during this hot summer!

Room was slightly on the small size. Breakfast a bit below average and a bit expensive for what it was. The night staff did not want to give us extra pillows, even though they advise to ask in their room brochure

location is great for getting around Berlin on foot or public transport. There are lots of nice eating places, super market shops etc right near the hotel which made the trip with a toddler really easy. Our room was huge- two adjoining rooms. I have found that this is quite rare in Berlin, where when travelling with a child you’re often just taking them into a normal room at no extra cost, we really appreciated having lots of space for the buggy and for some play space. The staff were really friendly! the room was always clean when we returned after a hot and busy day. This was our second stay at this property, but our first with a child and we will definitely be back!
