Hotel Römerhof

The location was fantastic in the heart of Baden Baden and a 4 minute walk from the Roman Baths. The Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. We found the billiard room to a be a more comfortable and less hushed place to eat. After 9pm the doors are locked and the place is dark, however your room key also opens the front door which we thought was ingenious.

Parking was unavailable so we had to park up the street in a paid lot. The staff was very helpful but there was an language barrier for English speakers. The rooms had no ac but one of ours had a fan which kept it nicely cool.

Everything was great. We received the best room in the hotel - upper floor, big room with good heating, fridge and kettle. And it was exactly what we needed. We ordered one night, the second night was out of Baden Baden and the third night here again. So, the hotel offered us to leave our luggage in the room. Free of charge. We left our belongings and came back to the same room after the event in Basel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious in the nice atmosphere. Always natural roses on the tables. Rain umbrellas for guests use. Extra towels were provided for Caracalla visit. Bathrobes are available for rent. The best location in Baden Baden. Great value for money. Thank you very much, Katia, and other girls. 😀

great location, great staff. breakfast was superb, very nice breakfast room, great variety of food. Staff is helpful and very polite.

Something is not right with their water system. While taking shower you cannot make temperature constant, temps are changing deliberately constantly from burning hot to ice cold and nothing you can do about it. it is hard to take shower since all of a sudden water changes temperature to burning hot and you have to jump out of shower and wait until it will change yo warm and then it will drop to a cold.

The hotel is well located closely to the two main Spas and also museums and casino. All within walking distance. We came for our wedding anniversary and to enjoy the bathspas. We were not disappointed. Highly recommended is also the Lowenbrau Restaurant less than 5 minutes walk from the Hotel. Not to go there would be a great miss.

Nothing I could complain. Everything was just perfect! I think the only thing is that we would have liked to stay longer but this is not the hotel's fault :-)

Location is as good as you can get. A couple of minutes walk to both spas and very central. Good selection of bars and restaurants close by. All the staff were excellent, the two ladies on the front desk were great and very accommodating given my lack of German. Waiting staff at breakfast also very professional and cleaning staff did a great job of tidying the room up each day. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again

Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Our beds were firm, but comfortable. Tv was OK size with available HDMI port for our fire stick. Fridge, safe, kettle with 2 coffee mugs was perfect for us.

Pulling our luggage up the 5 steps at the entrance to the hotel was painful -- A ramp would be nicer. At night it was loud from nearby restaurants but this was mostly silent when the windows were closed.

This hotel is beautiful. Located on a quaint, tree-lined avenue, this hotel needs to be more than 3 Star!!! German craftsmanship is evident in the structure, the furniture, and the details. The room was a pleasant surprise. It was spacious and had a small sitting area and desk area. The bath is updated and modern. There is no tub, but the shower was larger than some hotels I’ve stayed in. The bed was comfortable and we slept well! There was an entryway to the room as well. The location was perfect as well. Just around the corner from the spa Caravella, it was a quick walk to and from our day of pampering. We walked to restaurants and felt safe at night. It is a beautiful city. Due to Covid, we had to change our original booking. The hotel was very gracious and generous in allowing this without penalty. They were wonderful. Parking was offsite, but across the street and it was secure…14€ a night though. They also speak limited English.

Minor issues which do not really detract——the towels were thin and small. An upgrade would be a perfect touch.

We stayed one night in one of the air-conditioned rooms, which was a hit, because it was quite hot outside. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a paid, covered parking a couple of minutes away by foot (Vincenti) but you can park in front of the hotel to load/unload your bags. The Caracalla spa is just around the corner. It's also very well located to visit the other main spots of Baden-Baden.

The hotel was a bit outdated, but clean.

Great location, friendly staff, very clean. It was our second stay in this hotel. We found it a convenient place and worth putting up with dated decor and tired interior. The staff are great - helpful, professional and attentive. And Caracalla is just round the corner.

The hotel is dated, clearly nothing has changed for years and it shows (not in a positive way). There is no air con, so I wouldn't use the place in the summer, but for our Easter trip it was OK.

Location very close to centre of city, could not be better. Great choice for breakfast requirements, ample space for a single person.

I had to leave early to catch my train and breakfast only available 7:30 onwards. Asked evening before and was told I would be able to get some. However no food had been put out at all so left with an empty stomach. Ah welll, thats life. Still left as a happy chappy.
