La Villa Roseraie , Hôtel Familial OUVERT TOUTE L ANNEE

Beautiful little hotel with a lovely garden. Kids loved the cosy pool area and the pet tortoise wandering around the property. Friendly and easy-going staff. Vence old town is just few minutes walk away, it's a compact and lively place with many nice restaurants and cafes. We visited in early June and it didn't feel too touristic. We stayed just for one night, but could have easily spent few more days. We travelled by local bus from Nice, very cheap (1,5€ ticket) and easy as the hotel is only 5min walk from the bus station.

Hotel is not located in the most picturesque area of the city, but we didn't mind as it has nice view of the surrounding mountains and the location is very practical. There was a construction site nearby, but we didn't really notice it travelling with two loud kids. For a romantic getaway it could have been an annoyance.

Really lovely and relaxing place to stay, a beautiful old 1930s house turned into a hotel recently that’s set back from the bustle of Vence with fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. There’s a nice courtyard for chilling by the pool with everything you’d need on hand. Very friendly, welcoming and multilingual staff. Breakfast was superb with huge choice of food for a small place. We loved it! And the many nearby southern French art trail places to visit too!

We had the suite which was very spacious and charismatic. Airconditioning worked great. it was great for a three night stay but bigger than necessary for two persons. For those who travel to Vence without a car it is a good option as it is close to the bus stops.

There is no option to iron your clothes yourself, you can have it done for 5 euro a piece. We dont believe this is common in France (nowhere else did we ever have this). We recommend that guests can also ask for an iron to do it themselves. Giving no other possibility does not give of a nice impression. The coffee machine at breakfast kept signaling it had to be cleaned throughout our stay. We recommend the staff to immediately clean when the light goes off because it gives the impression the coffee machine is not cleaned well/regularly. Would be nice to have a beef option for breakfast too. There is a construction site next to the villa. It is not a reason why you shouldn’t come, but for expectation management it is good to note beforehand.

The location was fantastic, the room was bright and comfortable and the shower had great heat and pressure. The breakfast had a lot of variety and the pool area is a real sun trap! Also, the staff were very helpful and polite, it was really nice to have passionate hosts who were enthusiastic about the property.

Be quick with the breakfast pastries! The croissants are likely to go quickly as they are delicious!

I liked everything! The hosts were lovely, the breakfast was perfect. It was quiet. The location is good - you can walk in 10 minutes into town for dinner. Parking was secure.

The only most tiny detail I can think of, which is really telling you how much I liked the place, is that the hot drink cups in the room were so small! It is fine for espresso but to drink tea, a bigger cup would be good. That's it! Everything else I loved.

Perfect place to explore Vence. Two night stay with my two boys in room 4 - two connected rooms each with their own full bathroom/shower. The layout was smart and thoughtful, meeting a traveller’s every need. The breakfast was fantastic in the European way: breads, cheeses, meats, cakes and pastries, fruits, juices, coffees. An absolute deal in terms of cost.

It was a brief stay. My room was lovely if not small. Very old feel and ambiance. Great swimming pool! Lovely breakfast. Very nice Irish French manager!

The breakfast room is a bit out of character to rest of the hotel. Dark and pokey! A lot of noise with nearby building work.

We loved everything at this charming hotel with its lovely garden. Great breakfast with everything you could want - fresh fruit croissants bread, home made cake and more. It was perfect for us.

Everything! We loved the hotel, the staff and the location in Vence. Breakfast was very good. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing. Can't wait to return!!

Lots of charm, yes, but just needs a little TLC as some maintenance needed. However, despite that, I would definitely stay again.
