Okko Hotels Strasbourg Centre

Pros +location: just next to the shopping mall, tramway stop and many bars/restaurants. Secured area +soundproofing: we did not hear anybody +staff: very friendly, good English, eager to help. We didn’t like our first room because it was located just next to the elevator on the 6th floor and it was too loud and administrator happily helped us to change a room for the quieter one on the 8th floor. +parking: if you park in P2 cinema you will get a voucher for your daily rate parking, that will be in total around 12€. +bed: very comfortable! +shower: very spacious, toiletries provided. +hairdryer: powerful +lounge zone: spacious restaurant/lounge zone where you can have free drinks (coffee/tea/refreshments) and free snacks all the day during your stay. There are some meeting rooms for private business occasions and 2 working stations with MacBooks. WiFi is Ok. +gym and sauna area: we did not use it LAST BUT NOT LEAST ++++breakfast: typical French breakfast with pastries but also musli, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, salmon, vegetables, juices and more. It exceeded our expectations!

Cons -small room with a strange form of bathroom/wc that does not close properly and let all sounds in and out -leaking shower (room 820). After taking a shower with a firmly closed door there was water outside on the floor. -very uncomfortable pillows!! -not possible to rent a bathrobe to go the sauna so we did not go there. -parking is about 5 min walking that is not great with heavy luggage or while heavy raining -no real wardrobe, not enough place to put your clothes. No hangers for jackets.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff really did a great job decorating the room after I mentioned it was my first Valentine’s Day with my husband as a married couple, it was such a sweet gesture with the bottle of Prosecco, balloons, chocolates and confetti. Staff were so pleasant and helpful too, and the aperitivo feature was a great touch. We would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was very disappointing! I loved the coffee machine though, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the poor breakfast selection, especially for the price of €18 a head. For that price I’d expect a larger selection or at least an option where you can order breakfast foods from a menu? However this is the only criticism I have!

Could not get room cool enough in the evening, and if I opened the sliding glass door, the noise from the train, pedestrians, and cars was right there. The shower water temperature not hot enough. The rain shower head was crazy; it was broken, squirted water in an inconsistent manner, and the pressure was inadequate. Also, the shower door is very artistic, but it juts out, and I injured my arm on it one night when going to the bathroom in the dark. Also, I asked for a sheet because the room was too hot for the duvet, and all the hotel had was a fitted sheet one night.

The room is very functional and pleasant. The best part is the club lounge. A big plesant lounge space with free coffee, soft drinks, fruits and cookies, similar to aiport lounges. In the evening there is a small choice of heatlhy and well prepared dishes to order. Highly recommended if you don't have time to go into the center, the restaurants around the hotel are not very good. The tram stop is right next to the hotel, with direct ligne to the train station.

The entrance to the building and reception look and smell like a spa, it's a little strange.

We liked the location of the hotel and the bed. Yes, the bed was exceptional! Also first floor where you can relax was very comfortable. I really enjoyed the coffee in the room.

I didn't like that the door of the bathroom was not isolated. There was no privacy at all. We had to take turns with my girlfriend and stay out of the room. In addition, there was no fridge or at least a glass bottle of water.

The staff was helpful, friendly and meet all the expectation. But this can be said only about front desk and contact staff, not about cleaning staff that was speaking at the phone while simulating some dust cleaning. As consequence, the spider nets made themselves as at home. The food, the breakfast, the lounge, the facilities and evrithing out of cleaning was perfect.

.The spider nets was not something that I can expect at a 4 strars hotel. I am not picky, but not even at 2 or 3 stars hotel I did not saw this amount of spider nets in every corner. I do not have arachnophobia, but still, is not a sign of clenless.

The hotel provides exactly what you need for a city trip. It's clean and modern. The staff is friendly. They have free snacks and drinks included in the room fee so it's great.

The location is not in the center. But the hotel right next a tram stop and it takes 10 mins with the tram to go to the city center. If you don't mind walking, it's around 30 mins on foot and it's also pleasant to walk when the weather is nice.

Very stilysh hotel. The Club room with 24/7 hot and soft drinks available is a very nice touch. Great range of choice for breakfast. The rooms are really nice and comfortable. Good quality shower products and nice and soft towels, as well for the bedding. Staff always very helpful. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Bathroom doesn't allow you much privacy and the door doesn't close properly. The sliding shower door allows lot of water through, better to use the matt they provide you with. Last, the hotel doesn't have a prime central position, so you are a bit left out of the "action".

The location is very good as it's 5min from a parking place and 20min from the city centre. There is a tram right outside the hotel. The room is small but very cleverly planned, so the use of space is good. The room had a view of a canal which was lovely. Also the staff is very attentive. Special thanks to the monsieur in the evening shift who helped me to find a pharmacy that was opened after 10pm, really appreciate it.

The shower - very low pressure and water goes everywhere. Also, the floor gets all wet - but seriously wet. You will need two towels to get it dried after a shower.

Very good location, away from the confusion but close enough to the city centre, tram lines just outside the door. Hotel staff very friendly. Fair value for money.

Shower in the bathroom did not hold water and flooded the whole bathroom floor - inexplicable how there isn't a small water stopper, something so simple... then of course there are towels on the floor, cleaning the mess... Really uncomfortable and not at same level as rest of the hotel, really.
