Campanile Smart Lyon Est - Eurexpo Bron Aviation

This is a newly opened hotel with a slant towards high tech. Rooms are spacious,clean and fully loaded. Lighting can be controlled by your phone, once you've scanned a QR code on the telly you'll be able to connect your Netflix account etc. You can call the lift via phone and even order snacks and drinks.These then get delivered by a R2D2 clone to your room. Staff friendly and helpful and you can order various meal options as you would expect from a Campanile.

I was asked for a €140 damage deposit,which hadn't been made clear at time of booking with Booking.com. I must have looked exceptionally rough to the receptionist that day, as a colleague had stayed there only a fortnight previously and never been asked for said deposit. At checkout I was assured that the deposit would be back in my account within 24 hours. I had to phone and remind them after 48hrs but it was then released to my account immediately. Very strange practice and not one I've previously come across in my many numerous hotel stays in France.

Nice modern environment, interesting possibilities thanks to their app, for example remote controlled lights, toilet, elevator, etc... They also have a robot, but it didn't work for us.

After leaving the hotel, we were told that we had damaged one leg of the bed (without any proof), which was nonsense and they wanted us to pay for it. I had to contact booking and it was not pleasant. Eventually everything was cleared up and I did not pay anything.

The nicest and most polite service in the area. We’ve explored Lyon and Burgundy and were overall very dissaponted with the service, this place, at the end of our stay, helped us leave the area feeling a bit better about it! Room is well set up, has all the comforts for a short stay. It is newly furnished and clean. Beds are spacious and comfortable, bathroom is great and the TV is easily accessed by your mobile devices.

The hotel was bright and clean and the room and beds exceptionally comfortable. I have to make special reference to the staff, who were wonderful. Honestly don't think I've ever been to a hotel, let alone a 3 star and met such exceptional staff. They helped take our stay to the next level, Jordin and Lilly on reception and the lovely lady at the bar, whose name sadly, I didn't get were the nicest and friendliest people you could wish to meet. If I go back to Lyon, I would stay nowhere else and it was a real pleasure to meet those lovely ladies. The breakfast was really good for the type of hotel. I am a vegan, so not a great deal of choice for me but to be fair, I never asked them if they could provided a vegan breakfast. My friend had the scrambled eggs and said they were really good, much better than she had expected. I had the fruit salad which was great. All in all a fabulous stay. 5* service.

New, nice, and clean. Helpful, friendly, and professional staff. Quite good breakfast. Very convenient parking.

Very remote location. Difficult to find anything to do for the kids, although there is a fussball table in reception. No close by playground, no place to go for a walk, only one restaurant in the area (burger place, with nice staff and good athmosphere, but not great food).

Absolutely everything. The decor, the warm welcome, the cleanliness. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up in the morning ; thankfully the breakfast made it worthwhile! The shower was great, the room was small but tastefully decorated. Free parking. Some people will appreciate it being a 'smart ' hotel, with many facilities available on your smartphone, and a slightly scary robot moving around reception!

The location is not very attractive, nor that convenient for visiting Lyon, although there is a tram stop nearby (40 mins into town). However, it would be perfect for the airport or for visitors to students at Lyon lumière 2 University (our reason for visiting).

The facilities were modern and nice. The room was clean and comfortable.

I ordered a taxi at the reception and was not warned that the cost was the double of what would be normal as they deal with a private car service and not regular taxis. I chose this hotel because I was in transit and it was close to the airport - I ended up paying more than if I had taken an Uber from the city centre.

Nice hotel, great staff. Good breakfast. The staff allowed us to store our bags for few hours while exploring Lyon.

Little breakfast sausages (delicious) ended before 9am and the lady said there wont be more sausages. Breakfasts are up much longer and most people came at like 9:30. I think everything should be available much longer.

Wonderful location for Eurexpo. Quiet (the local airport has no traffic). Very new development with latest technology and modern style. Very serviceable staff. Never waited for anything. Classic breakfast but good quality and fresh products, and reasonably priced. We got taxis to come there to pick us up in less that 4 minutes every time.

No food. No bar. I believe that, in their concept, there should be a refrigerated display with ready cooked meals that you can heat in a microwave. But it was not there. (maybe to come later). Price of the room is extortionate, but ... this is Lyon Eurexpo !

it was close to the expo, close to a good restaurant, the staff were helpful and could speak English, there were vending machines in the lobby to buy snacks, drinks and personal care items, the room was a great size and had a great bathroom, the hotel cared about saving the environment
