Hôtel Au Logis des Remparts

The pool and gardens, the cleanliness and especially the air conditioning. The location and parking exceptional. Staff was good.

The room… did not have a mirror near an electrical outlet so drying and styling my hair was difficult. Also lighting needs to be brighter. And the outside light needs to turn off late at night- shone in my eyes because the curtain didn’t fully close. Toiletries - only shower gel, no shampoo or conditioner. No soap dish for soap. Wash clothes for face would be nice as well. These are easy little fixes but for someone who traveling they are essential. Annoying that there is a corkage fee for opening a bottle in your room (which was not disclosed). This is wine country! Also no ice machine. You have to ask. France is hot.

Very pleasant hotel in the centre of Saint-Emilion. The interior is a little dated but the rooms are clean and quiet and a good size. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a pool out at the back of the hotel for guests to enjoy, and also a car park for those travelling by car. It is worth checking with the property first that your room comes with a space. To get to the car park requires driving through the old town which is a little narrow so worth bearing in mind if you have a larger car. We were able to walk to all of the restaurants in town that we had booked with complete ease, and even the vineyards that we had booked were max 15 minute walks away. One thing I did notice was that there was an extensive selection of information for the local area, from things to do, restaurants, vineyards etc, which I thought was a great touch.

The bathroom was a little dated, but otherwise no complaints.

The hotel is in a fantastic location right in the centre of St Emilion and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool looked lovely as well however as it was raining on our free morning we didn't have the opportunity to try it out.

The breakfast buffet was very disappointing for 16 Euros per person. It was a limited, mediocre spread that at the least should have been included in the room price or a better selection for a chargeable breakfast.

Excellent position; secure private parking; lovely gardens and swimming pool; quiet bedroom with great bathroom, comfortable bed and good Air Con. Adequate breakfast. Pleasant staff.

No coffee machine or mini-bar / fridge in room. Fitted hair-drier in bathroom not fit for purpose. (Managed to obtain a replacement from reception 24 hours after requesting same). Bath towels could have been bigger and newer !

The out door spaces were beautiful… had I been aware we would have spent a day just relaxing around the pool. Views over the town were lovely. Breakfast in the courtyard was so relaxing. Staff were very polite and helpful.

Nothing. I would make people aware that whilst parking is shown as part of the facilities it doesn’t necessarily mean that by booking the hotel you get a space. I’m not sure why or how this works.

Wonderful hotel if you have a room looking to the garden, you will enjoy a very quet sleep and. a nice view to the garden and grape fields. The rooms looking tyo the street might be a bit noisy for you if you wish to leave your windows open for fresh air.

Ya, my room the first night was a bit noisy, but they were very kind and moved me to another rooms, so all was really wonderful!

Au logis des Eemparts is a little piece of heaven in a heavenly Saint-Émilion. You might easily miss it when you walk or drive by, but the hotel is simply amazing, with a huge, very nice and well-kept garden, dining area, pool area and even a nice and comfortable parking! I understand why several people mentioned the challenges with the narrow entrance to the parking :) but it is really not that hard :) I would warmly reccomend Au Logis des Remparts to anyone visiting Saint-Émilion and would definitely return!

The hotel location was nice and central for exploring the town. We had a suite which was much bigger than expected with a lounge and terrace, with table and chairs, that overlooked the garden. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed relaxing in the historic hotel grounds and the swimming pool was perfect!

Room decor was a little dated.

Lovely hotel. Have stayed here two times previously. Breakfast is lovely out on the terrace in the mornings. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Nice secure car park.

Shower in the room was disappointing. No kettle/tea making facilities in the room. It would be nice to have proper bar in the hotel.
