Hôtel Beau Rivage Valdys Thalasso & Spa

We enjoyed staying in our room with balcony and sea view. the Spa facilities were used daily, including the outdoor jacuzzi and the steam/sauna rooms. The pool with jacuzzi and waterfalls was the main attraction. Everywhere was regularly cleaned and maintained.

It was sometimes difficult to take a swim in the regular 'exercise' pool as classes were often underway. The room I shared with a friend could have been a little larger but was perfectly adequate for a week's stay.

Amazing location next to the seafront with great spa facilities (a swimming pool for doing lengths, another for relaxing, a steam room, sauna and salt cave) and 2 outdoor jacuzzis overlooking the Ile de Batz. Only a short walk to restaurants and cafes in Roscoff and right next door to a nice creperie (Le billig de la plage).

We did not know that we needed to bring flip flops and a swimming hat to use the spa facilities so needed to buy them in the hotel boutique which was quite expensive and an unexpected cost.

The room was very clean and comfortable with a balcony, partial sea and sunset view. The shower was new and very nice - powerful with water a good temperature. The swimming pools are lovely - a warm one with lots of water jets to ease aching muscles after long walks along the beautiful coastline, and a slightly cooler one for swimming lengths although there are often classes in that one. The 2 outside hot tubs were a nice hot temparature and have amazing views.

The restaurant didn't have a very extensive menu so we didn't eat there but there are lots of good restaurants in Roscoff. More information in the room about the hotel, spa and Roscoff generally would have been useful, especially anything in English for those whose French is limited.

Location. We specifically booked a room with a balcony overlooking the beach which had an extensive view out to the nearby islands. The Spa facilities are extensive and a major feature of what is a traditional health resort rather than a classic seaside hotel. The view from the outside jacuzzi area is fabulous but remember the spa generally shuts before the sun sets. The nearby beach bar / creperie provides an opportunity to sit with a drink and soak up the view and the centre of Roscoff is an easy 15 minute walk away.

Very little really. This is a busy spa hotel, restaurant bookings require 5 days notice, we got the email 4 days before we arrived!! Car parking is abour 200 metres away and charged on a per day basis (nearer street parking is available on a first come basis).

The hotel is very well appointed and the room very comfortable and of course the Spa was simply fantastic. If you were staying more than 1 night it would feel very special indeed.

The standard check in is 4pm, which if you are on a lunchtime ferry the next day makes it tight to get the most out of your stay. Our room was not ready at 1610 so they put us into a different room. If we were travelling the same time this would make me think again about staying here. The quality of the breakfast was fine but the 2 staff were run off their feet and there were times where you were waiting for a cup or maybe the croissants etc. If the breakfast is always this busy the hotel should provide more staff - those there were brilliant but facing an uphill challenge keeping up.

The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff were nice

When we went to check in we had breakfast and robes added to our bill, we hadn’t booked breakfast and they did remove them when we told them we didn’t want them. We were informed you have to wear flip flops and swim hats when using the pool and it wasn’t worth it for the length of our stay, also there is no easy parking available unless you pay .€10 a night

Lovely view from the Jacuzzis overlooking the changing tides. Spa is big enough to to not feel crowded, at least in mid June. The hotel is dog friendly which is something I really appreciate even though our dog stayed elsewhere this time. I also didn’t see, or more importantly hear any kids, which is important for me when I want to relax. Location is a short walk from the main restaurant and shopping area, which also means that it’s out of reach of the noise that comes with people eating, drinking and generally having a good time.

Limited options in the bar/lounge area. Would be nice to be able to choose from more than one type of beer for example. There was some sort of mixup with our dinner reservation, so at 20:00 we were left standing to fend for ourselves even though we made reservations upon arrival. It seems like full pension guests are guaranteed a table whilst others live more precariously. I wouldn’t have minded so much if someone bothered to let us know during the day and evening but as it were it became an unexpected problem for us. If you’re not on full pension, I recommend that you make your dinner arrangements in the village.

We loved the location which is 10 minutes walk from Roscoff Town and Port. The spa has excellent facilities. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Our bedroom was underneath the restaurant and there was a lot of noise from people having an early breakfast. There was no bar for the 6 days we spent there in September 2023

We have stayed here before and really like the location of this hotel, right on the beach with lovely views of the Ile de Batz and Perharidy and only a short, very scenic seaside walk into the centre of Roscoff. The restaurant on the first floor has a panoramic view. The buffet breakfast was extremely good. Our room, which also had a sea view and a balcony, was simply but very attractively furnished. The reception staff were very helpful and charming.

We really liked everything.

Perfect location! We were foot passengers to Roscoff on the ferry and could walk to the hotel in about half an hour. The views were stunning and always changing with the tide. The staff were amazing, putting up with our very basic French and going above and beyond to help. The spa exceeded our expectations and the food was superb. We planned our next visit back on the journey home!
