Hôtel Amoi Paris

The staff members are super friendly and pleasant. They are very helpful when I asked for recommendations of spots to visit in Paris. On our first day, they accommodated us to check in earlier by which I’m impressed!

Unfortunately, on the first day when I inquired whether or not the breakfast was complimentary, I was told “yes”(or at least my understanding was “yes”). We stayed for 7 nights and when we checked out, I was just told I still owed $150 due to breakfast and city tax. In other words, the breakfast was actually not complimentary at all. Since I was heading out to the airport, I didn’t want to spend time pointing it out at the front desk. It would have been a much better experience if there was no surprises and discrepancies from what I understood. I’d encourage anything that comes with additional charge to be clarified on the website or a n itemized list upfront upon check-in to improve this matter.

I will be recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. The location was fantastic, lots of nice bakeries and restaurants in the neighborhood and tourist sites are easily accessible. The rooms were lovely and incredibly clean. The shower was surprisingly nice too! We had breakfast brought up to our room on the last day and were sent a pretty extensive menu of items from which to choose the night before. The quality of food we got was worth the breakfast price as well. As for the staff...they were wonderful. They were there 24/7 whenever we had a question or request and gave us some fantastic recommendations regarding restaurants. We were caught in the rain during one of our days there and came back to the hotel to dry off and warm up. We called to ask for some hot chocolates and minutes later someone was at our door with delicious tray of hot chocolates and apple cakes. We will be coming back to hotel Amoi for our next stay for sure!

Coming home to my regular shower was a disappointment.

It was very clean. The staff was very polite and they were really nice. We loved the amenities in the room. There was a coffee machine too. The location was close to a metro station and plenty of places around this hotel for breakfast or glass of wine.

The room was really small. We shared the bed with my friend and it was pretty uncomfortable for us. The bed was next to the wall from the one side so if my friend wanted to get up, she would have to wake me up. We didn’t sleep much and although we understand that rooms tend to be small in Paris, this was a bit too small for us and quite uncomfortable. It was more like a single room / bed rather than a double room. Also it was a bit noisy from the outside if we kept the window open. It sounded like a restaurant kitchen that worked until after midnight.

Being forced to provide a credit card deposit, what are these methods!? Furthermore it was not a deposit but a direct debit. Still trying to get it back.

Everything about the hotel was amazing. The hotel is located close to public transportation (metro) which makes it convenient to get around the city. There are also food places nearby or within walking distance. We were also located very close to a lot of attractions. You can get around easily on foot to be able to see more of the city, but also have the option of public transportation if you would like as well. The room size is good too. The housekeeping and staff were amazing.

design is thoughtful and stylish. Breakfast is very nice. Location is super. Although the honesty bar is very limited the idea is always nice. It would be nice to know what the prices of all the whiskeys (impressive range) are though.

As in most French hotels the temperature in the rooms is way too high and can not be changed in the room itself (what about climate change, what about energy prizes?). Having breakfast on low seats with no back support is very stylish but not very pleasant for everyone.

Would definitely stay again! Friendly english speaking staff with 24h reception. We had a spacious superior room, very tidy, with high ceilings on fourth floor facing the street (no. 40). Quiet even with open windows. Beautiful overall design with lovely details, rounded shapes and different textures (still dreaming of the terrazzo floor). The bed was very cozy with one giant fluffy duvet. Espresso machine, kettle, tea, coffee, water included as well as bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer. There even were essential oils to put in the shower, great experience. A small market and boulangerie (recommend for breakfast) are next to the hotel.

Hotel room was spacious and newly renovated, had good facilities (good closet space, nice shower with constant hot water, large and comfortable bed, coffee machine and water bottles, etc), receptionists were very welcoming and helpful, and the location was great and close to a lot of metro lines.

1. Towels were replaced every day even though we kept them hanging (as opposed to an explicit note in the bathroom). I'm not sure it's related but the towel hangers were problematic and sometimes the towels fell to the floor. 2. The products refill was pretty random and each day only a subset of the following were refilled: water bottles, coffee pods, ear buds, cotton pads. We ran out of them several times and had to request a refill at the reception. 3. We could hear some noise from the hallway in the morning during room cleaning.

What a lovely little hotel! Beautiful rooms with very nice touches, attentive service and it’s close to an array of nice restaurants and cafes. It’s also within a walkable distance of Gare de Nord and Gare de l’est and close to the metro. Couldn’t have asked for anything more really.

It was a little on the pricey side but it is high season so completely expected. The bell for the elevator is a little loud (you can hear it in the rooms) but it’s a trivial issue.
