Boutique Hotel de la Place des Vosges

We were fortunate enough to have the top floor room which was charming with a skylight that opened out onto the roofs of Paris and we had the ability to see far. We had so much light in our room. The room was well designed and efficiently laid out with plenty of shelving and the bathroom was modern, easy to use and roomy. The location could not be beat-- truly less than 40 steps away from the entrance of Place des Vosges which made for nice mornings! Breakfast is available at the hotel and is truly delicious-- a Parisien breakfast of fresh baguette, croissant, and cafe/hot chocolate along with fresh strawberry jam and orange marmalade.

The elevator doesn't start until the 1st floor and only goes to the 4th floor, so we had to do a combo of elevator and stairs, but the charm of the top floor was worth it!

Fabulous quiet location but really close to metro, buses etc to move around Paris. Super helpful staff and good facilities.

Getting up to the top floor required stairs, a tiny lift and then more stairs which are all doable with a trolley or hand luggage but would be more problematic with large luggage. Not an issue for us but it helps just to be aware of this.

It was an old building, peaceful, quaint and rich in historical associations. The people working their clearly tried everything they could to make their guests happy and relaxed, and this because they take what they do seriously; it is clearly what they enjoy, not simply in it for the money. This is my second visit and I would definitely stay again on my next trip to Paris.

The ambiance and decor, beginning with the approach to the front door, festooned with plantings and blooming flowers, to the lovely and well-appointed lobby with beautifully upholstered chairs, a large window framed by luxurious drapery and showing a peek of the plantings that grace the front of the hotel. Next my welcome by the cordial and most helpful gentleman who began by asking me if I’d like a cup of café, proceeded to answer any question I had, then carried my 2 bags up to my cozy room. The room was perfect for me. The bed and sparkling white bedding were very comfortable, the bathroom also sparkled with new accoutrements and a multi-headed shower set in marble walls. There was no promise of the view from my window ( I got the last room available for that night, even reserving a month earlier) so I was pleasantly surprised to see some flowers planted outside the window when I drew back the gorgeous striped-satiny draperies. I had dinner a very few steps around the corner at a perfect spot (indoor and outdoor tables) right in the Place des Vosges. It was excellent and I enjoyed it immensely. My visit concluded with a taxi awaiting at the door to take me to the airport. The driver (arriving 15 minutes early…about 6:45 am) was just delightful. it turns out the owner of the hotel, requests him personally to pick up her guests, and I understand why. He was smilingly friendly, courteous and the best taxi driver I have ever experienced…very help and reassuring , especially when you’re a female traveling solo. The wonderful proprietor even called during the drive, to apologize for not having met me with a cup of coffee before I left. How thoughtful! Yes, I would definitely stay at Boutique Hotel de la Place des Vosges again, without hesitation…and I hope that it is soon.

Absolutely amazing stuff, great location, lots of character.

The elevator wasn't working. It didn't bother me at all, but people with poor health conditions wouldn't be happy. A bit noisy spot because of the bars on the street working late, so be sure you sleep as a rock or you drunk as a rock 😀

The central location was excellent. Very convenient to metro. The historic building combined with modern plumbing and lighting is lovey. The desk clerk was very helpful and friendly

It was hot so we needed to have the window open. The street noise was loud but late at night the drunks from the bar nearby were very loud and annoying.

Our stay at the Boutique Hotel de La Place was the most elegant I have experienced. From the charming entrance to the well appointed lobby, the hotel has the feel and comfort of a past time when care and respect were given to valued guests. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts provided by our wonderful host. We three had a comfortable room with great breezes through open windows.

Beautiful old hotel in great condition. Great location close to all of the best attractions in the old part of Paris. Very clean tastefully renovated room with a pleasant outlook over the street. Very friendly and welcoming staff - thank you Rania and Bart for helping to make our stay in Paris memorable and fantastic!
