We loved the location of this hotel (walking distance to all the major roman sites in Nîmes as well as the restaurants in the city centre, and facing onto a nice historic square), as well as the spacious and stylish room. The historic charm of the building (yet with modern touches like well insulated windows) was also really nice. The staff were helpful and friendly and the dinner in the restaurant was great too. It was a fun place and we felt very relaxed and at home during our stay. The bed was large and comfy. We also thought it was very good value for money.

The breakfast was simple but totally fine for the price – a tray with a typical French selection of sweet things (I did like that it avoided the wastefulness of a typical hotel buffet) but if you have the time and prefer a savoury breakfast, it's worth going to one of the nice cafés nearby instead (e.g. Cali Kitchen was amazing).

Nice hotel in the center of Nimes, located at the beautiful place d´assas, including a bar and a restaurant (inside and outside) with a good menu. The open space of the place is great for a sundowner and the very friendly team offers a perfect service. Parking is easy, in a public parking directly under the hotel. Walking distance (5-10 minutes) to most monuments, museums and the inner city (shopping) with lots of nice little stores.

The shower screen had a gap in it so water leaked onto the floor (but not so much that we couldn't deal with it). We hadn't been warned when booking that it was the September Faria when we were there and that the hotel would be setting up an outdoor bar outside our room with music until 2am. We were told about this by a very nice member of staff on the day, and were provided with earplugs, but some advanced warning would have been appreciated.

The location is unbeatable and the price is very reasonable. The room was small but as expected and the staff were friendly.

Unfortunately when we arrived the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied and was full. It was not a serious problem but it made us question the cleanliness a little bit even though the room was otherwise very clean. The second issue we had is that we had a room facing the bar outside and it was very noisy in the evenings. Again, it was not a big problem but if you are an early and light sleeper you might want to ask for a quieter room.

Could not regulate the heating as it ran off a central system. It was lovely and warm in the room but too hot to sleep. Luckily we could open the window and it was not too noisy outside but felt bad about the waste of energy. The decor in our room might offend vegans: cow skin carpet. Fortunately we liked it and found it funky.

Location, location, location. Could not be better. The hotel is convenient for all of the Roman sites and restaurants locally. You can walk from the hotel to the Arena and Maison Carre, and all of the other sites are within way distance. Parking is cheap and available in the car park below the hotel.

The rooms are tiny. Perhaps the smallest rooms we have ever stayed in! The door hits the bed when you open it. There is nowhere to sit and relax after a busy day sightseeing. For us, this is enough of a problem that, despite amazing staff, fabulous location, and quirky charm, we would not book again or recommend to our friends UNLESS bigger rooms are made available through Booking.com.

The hotel does not have an elevator. The floor being wooden, you had to graze like a cat not to make any noise. If you come by car, it should be expressly mentioned that you enter the "Indigo" underground parking lot from the main street and then enter the hotel. We did two tours around the city until we got the hang of this trick!

The hotel was stunning, the art and modern feel yet still had old building charm was immaculate. The cleanliness was fantastic and location was exceptional. I was a little nervous - as after I booked, I read some bad reviews but genuinely don't know how or where the negativity comes from, as in my opinion the hotel was lovely, Spacious, clean and perfect locatiin. Staff were super sweet especially as I spoke no French except the hello goodbye please etc, also bonus point my daughter absolutely loved that YouTube was built into the tvs! A must stay!!!!

My room was exceptional, extremely comfy, large, great WiFi, quiet and the location is excellent for exploring the city.

I'd looked forward to eating tapas in the restaurant of the hotel but it was closed on Sundays....apparently it's not part of the hotel. Other restaurants nearby only opened 8:30 (but this is typical in the area).

Parking was awkward. Hotel offers a pass for the underground city parking close by for 10 euros Would have liked to be forewarned of where to stop while we collected the pass at reception before entering car park. We weren’t able stop and had ti go around the one way streets for 15 minutes before finding somewhere to pull over.
