Hôtel de France, un hôtel AMMI

The staff was above and beyond, trying to help with everything. The breakfast was good, with fresh bread and croissants, sausages and eggs. Fresh coffee and orange juice pressed. The original room was small for our family and we were upgraded to a bigger room, which made our stay more comfortable. Hotel provides a beach mattress and umbrella free of charge, or access to a private beach club at a discounted rate.

There are not enough hangers, hooks or shelf storage space in the room. Taking into account the hotel is near the beach, rooms need to be equipped with simple wire to dry swimwear. The hotel promised to fix this.

The hotel is in a great location near the beach; it's not in the Old Town but it's not far and there are lots of nice restaurants on the way. Our room was on the small side and there wasn't much space other than the bed. It was fine for a few nights though. The shower was fantastic! We had issues with wifi in our room too. The best thing about this hotel was the service, from everyone who worked there. Baptiste in particular was a star and resolved our issue with the air conditioning. The honesty bar was great as it allowed us to have a quick drink without needing to find a shop. There is a lovely terrace where you can enjoy! We would return to the hotel as we enjoyed the service so much, and the location.

Breakfast is limited and as constructive feedback I suggest having at least some variety from day to day.

The hotel's location was truly exceptional, as it was conveniently accessible via tram from the airport and situated just a stone's throw away from the stunning Prom. des Anglais. The hotel's proximity to an array of charming cafes and restaurants made it an ideal base for exploring the vibrant city of Nice. But what really set this hotel apart was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. They were always willing to answer questions, provide recommendations, and offer assistance whenever needed. With its amazing location, friendly staff, and clean and comfortable rooms, it truly exceeded my expectations and made my trip all the more memorable.

Everything was super perfect at the Hotel de France! Stuff very nice, warm welcoming, kind and helpful. They really give their best to make you feel comfortable and get everything you need or might need 😊 special thanks to Irina, Olga and Fabrizio! 🤗 On the check-in desk you'll get a bottle of water and precise information about everything. When we talk about the room, there's a delicious macarons with the welcome message as soon you get inside of a cosy room. The beds are super comfy and the pillows are just what I prefer (not very big and firm). One maybe small investment for the hotel, but really good for the guests is that the hotel will provide you a mi-fi hotspot so you can have internet while you're off exploring the city. There's an optional delicious buffet breakfast, so I can recommend that as well. Another thing that made me feel better, you can borrow an umbrella at the Hotel free of charge, if you forgot your own. I think I can go on and on with kind words about the Hotel and stuff, but please feel free to find it on your own. Strong recommendation for Hotel de France! Love you guys!

The only things I missed just a bit in a room were slippers and earpicks, so that's a possible preposition for the future addition.

Location is really fantastic - it is within short walking distance to the main restaurant streets and also to the old town. There is also a supermarket nearby. The staff are very helpful and friendly as well and they speak fluent English. I ran into an issue with one of my luggage locks and the staff went out of their way to help me resolve it. I am really very thankful for that as it could have totally screwed my holiday! The room is small but adequate. Beds are comfy and the shower works well (good water pressure!). The room I have faces the neighboring building so there is not much of a view but that is fine... we didn't go to Nice to stay in the hotel to admire the view :) Paid parking (Massena Palace) is available a very short walk away. The entrance of the carpark is narrow but just go slow and it should not be a problem to get your car through unscathed. Parking is pricey but that is expected for the location. The hotel has a parking pass available for about $23 euros per day - you just need to stop by the hotel to pick up the pass before going into the carpark. And you need to stop by the hotel at the end of the stay to drop off the pass. For us, we did some calculations and found that it did not make much difference whether we get the hotel's pass or pay directly for the parking, hence we ended up not using the pass. So do your own diligence to see whether you need the hotel pass (based on your own schedule of when you will use the car). I have attached a photo of the parking charges below for your reference.

Skip the breakfast. It's good that the hotel provides an express breakfast option that is good value for money - $5.50 euros for 2 pastries, orange juice and a coffee. The pastries are ok but not fantastic - you can buy better ones from the cafes nearby.

Nice, small, cozy hotel on perfect location. All interesting places in Nice are in walking distance. Great extra services, for example we choose to not have room service and instead of it we took free drinks from the bar, which is so cool! You can also buy directly on the reception French riviera pass to get free acces to many places all over French riviera, which is actually even cheaper on reception then in touristic office or online.

Would be nice to have smart TV in the room, if you need to relax a bit watching Netflix after many days walking around :-) But thats just a small thing.

Such a convenient location in Nice! There are many restaurants and bakeries just a few min away. Two blocks from the beach, quick 5-10 min walk to the tram station, about 15 min to train station. We loved the location. The best part is they give you pocket wifi! We came from the US and not everyone had phone service but with the pocket wifi it worked perfectly (but only in France, it did not work when we took the train to Monaco or Italy). Rooms were small but that was expected in Europe, they were very clean. We would come back to this hotel the next time we come to Nice!

The hotel is very cozy and comfortable and has strong WI-FI, daily cleaning, and a variety of complementaries. The location is the best in town - 30 minutes travel with a tram from the airport, 15-20 minutes walk from the Old Town, and 10 minutes walk from the train station. Special kudos to the staff - one of the best we have come across!!! They are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and hospitable. The hotel also provided us with a portable wifi device that allowed us to use our phones everywhere (even in Monaco) and not need to purchase a foreign cellular plan.

We took a small apartment with two rooms for four people. The only thing lacking in the rooms were shelves or a wardrobe for us to keep our stuff. Otherwise, the apartment was good.

location was amazing 2 mins to Prom de Anglais, 20 minute walk to old town nice tram line 6mins or so walk takes you to the airport or port staff so nice and helpful, complimentary water was great just ask reception room was spotlessly clean, had a fabulous shower, was concerned being near the lift but noise was a minimum we didn't have breakfast at hotel so cannot comment on same but it did look plentful

our only criticism, breakfast could have been included for the price we paid as we only stayed 5 nights it was over 700euro room only. other than that no issues. thank you all for a fabulous stay

Lovely little hotel, 5 mins walk from the beach, Negresco etc The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and quiet Really liked the pre-arrival email.

Had requested an early check in but wasn’t available. Had requested information about how to get from the airport. This was out of date and worth knowing that you now have to pay €10 return for a tram from Nice airport
