Holiday Inn Resort Le Touquet

Great friendly Reception staff, Well trained. Superb breakfast staff and a fantastic spread to cater for all tasted. Our safe did not function. By 10am next morning a technician had solved the problem. Fantastic! Lovely clean pool. Rooms very clean and well presented.

Stepping into the high bath for a shower was challenging given our age. (We are not disabled) Jacuzzi water could have been warmer. A few more TV channels would have been great for us.

A beautiful hotel in calm surroundings. The rooms were big and clean. Exceptionally opulent breakfast with very friendly staff.

The furniture was old and the closet doors broken. When we notified the reception they just shrugged and said they knew. The dinner restaurant was very bad. The service personnel had no training at all and was overwhelmed waiting a few tables.

Stayed here for the third time. Great duplex room for the family. With spacious balcony for eating and teenagers' sunbathing. Easy to eat brought-in pizzas etc with a table on the balcony and a small fridge for milk etc. Very pet friendly. Great pool. Also Table Tennis, Tennis, pool table etc Actually walkable to the beach (15-20mins) even though it doesn't feel as though it's close.

Now it would benefit from a redecoration and a refurb. Also the long corridor to the rooms is a greenhouse in hot weather and needs more ventilation Certainly not cheap at 300e /night and 22e per person for breakfast (!!!) but Le Touquet's just an expensive town and we've never found any better value. Easy to eat brought-in food because of the table on the balcony

Nice large rooms. Comfortable - nice surroundings too; it’s in a very nice area. Pool was good to have; breakfasts were pretty good; and it’s walking distance to the beach (20 mins)

Not specific to the property but DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE TRAIN STATION ASSUMING YOU CAN JUST GET A TAXI TO THE HOTEL. There no reliable taxis. You cannot see one. You cannot call one. You can easily be stranded at the station for hours; even overnight. The hotel cannot help you (on short notice). Even on our return journey, it took 2 days of frantic calling around to get a taxi back to the station.

Breakfast is excellent, great location, great pool, the hotel cat is lovely, kids loved the small area of arcade games, quiet rooms, spacious hotel. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Wasn't told we would need to book for dinner and there was no space when we tried to go into the restaurant, which was annoying with hungry children. I asked to complain to the manager but was told not to bother as he wouldn't care! Bathroom set up isn't convenient with small children, as toilet is separate with a heavy door that doesn't stay open. Bathrooms are outdated and not what you'd expect for the price.

Great breakfast. Loved the mezzanine family room with balcony. Friendly, efficient staff. Children very happy here..enjoyed the pool Beautiful setting. Lots if nature, sporty healthy past times etc. Good atmosphere and relaxing. Comfy beds.

Rooms need aircon. Fan arent sufficient for full summer. Children food menus not sufficient in choice. Toilet in room was smelt of old urine (separate toilet to bathroom). Needs tiled walls for hygiene, not wallpaper. Possibly a little overpriced but hard to tell as no real comparison.

From the reception area we had heavy suitcases which we had ti carry up a set of steep stairs and down some others to get to the room. The hallways of the hotel had no air condos so it was stifling heat. Also the check in time was 4pm which is the latest time I’ve ever seen at a hotel and I asked to check in earlier when I booked but when I arrived it was nit ready and still had ti wait until after 4pm. The price on the internet was less that what we ended up paying by £50!

Great hotel , lovely room with outside space . The bar and restaurant were lovely as it was a very wet night to walk to town .. Bar staff exceptional , all the staff were excellent , friendly and so helpful 😀The second night of our stay we did walk into town which was about 10-15 minutes .we used the pool which was lovely too . Excellent parking at hotel which was great as we had bikes on our car !

Staff were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location was spot on with a 10 minute walk to beach. Weather wasn’t great so we used the pool facilities which the kids loved. Beds were super comfy and rooms spacious. Bar area was great to relax with colouring and games for kids. Lobby area upstairs also handy for playing board games on a rainy day.

Just a point about the Booking.com question set. The questionnaire states 'Bonus question - You stated a preference during booking for a quiet room. Was Holiday Inn Resort le Touquet, an IHG Hotel able to fulfil your request?' For the avoidance of doubt I did not state a preference for a quiet room. The Holiday Inn Le Picardy was comfortable and a great place to spend a long weekend in Le Touquet. The room was a good size. Plenty of storage space. Kettle and coffee machine. A very large bed; bigger than superking and just the right level of support. Good sized bathroom. Shower over bath. Bath seemed particularly high sided and needed care when getting in and out. Bedroom looked out onto attractive gardens with access through patio doors. Spacious car park located around the hotel is free; I've used it a number of times for my soft top two seater and have had no problems. Restaurant was reasonably priced for good food in the evening; worth a try. Didn't use the bar this time, but have done so on previous occasions and it's a great place to relax. Hotel has a pool; never used it although it does seem popular with families. In summary, Le Picardy Holiday Inn resort is in a lovely location slightly out of Le Touquet centre and a great place to use as a base from which to explore.

The Holiday Inn resort is clean and comfortable but would benefit from a makeover. Nothing majorly wrong with the hotel decor; just would benefit from sprucing up of carpets, paint on walls etc. The location is slightly out of Le Touquet centre and although it's a delightful 15 minute stroll into the centre along wide streets lined with stunning buildings, the Holiday Inn resort isn't as conveniently located for accessing Le Touquet centre as some other hotels.
