Best Western Plus Hotel Admiral

Good location if you are looking for somewhere close to the highway. Spacious and comfortable room and bathroom. The pool area is great and the pool was very refreshing.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel is because it has a restaurant that was well rated and we wouldn't have to leave the hotel after a long day of driving. We were disappointed to receive a message after making our booking that the restaurant would be closed the night of our stay.

This is whilst 110 euros is worth every cent as the rooms are wonderful and the facilities excellent, whilst it was tricky to walk my dog as no obvious places nearby, this is where I recommend if you are not being economical on a long journey across France.

It would be great if there was a dog run or some nearby place to walk the dog, but this is not really a minus.

We stopped there one night on our way back home, and booked at the last minute. The staff was very nice and called us ahead to inform us about the AC not working. It wasn’t an issue, and we got a free drink as a compensation. The room was really spacious, which we appreciate because we had our dog with us. Very convenient location off the highway, but in an industrial area, so not super pretty. It was very quiet on the weekend though, and I enjoyed walking the dog around the area in the morning.

It’s an industrial area, but it’s a functional hotel, not the place you go to for a romantic weekend, so it’s perfectly fine.

Easy access from motorway for overnight stay to break up our travel. Staff friendly and helpful, lovely clean pleasant hotel. Lovely breakfast to set us on our way home.

The restaurant wasn’t open for an evening meal so that was disappointing and there was only one staff member to serve reception and bar area, which she did wonderfully.

room service food was not delivered we had to collect & was under cooked for our liking asked for medium/ well done top of the range burgers & they were rare, if we were in the restaurant we would have rejected them

The room wasn’t comfortable. The bed was old and very soft. Also we could hear the neighbors watching TV till late after midnight, no soundproof walls. The air conditioner didn’t help much in cooling the room. We had to open the window for ventilation.

Good hotel nice area, on a hill, good park to run and exercise just 2 km away, little swimming pool, very good cooking with high quality. Possibly the best dessert I've ever eaten, really highly technical cuisine.

Restaurant too expensive, because it is too refined. I think given the marketing positioning, a best western should certainly use fresh and good quality ingredients (and this one does) but also try to give a medium level of cooking at affordable prices,

Lovely hotel but very little atmosphere. Very few staff which seems to be the case with most hotels now.

Great pool , bar with friendly staff Great location to visit Lyon by car. Leaving car at nearby train station.

All reception staff seemed rather inexperienced or rusty in manners.

Excellent hotel, everything you need. Very clean and comfortable, lovely little extras. Fantastic location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely book again.
