Hostellerie Du Château Les Muids

Amazing setting very nice staff and lovely grounds which was great for the dog. We enjoyed our morning walk after breakfast.

We were disappointed as unfortunately the room was very small, particularly that we had our little dog with us, there was no room to put our cases and the room was exceptionally small. We would have liked room 15 as this was more suitable for our needs and when we return, which we will in May, we would really like room 15. The toilet was also very small and not suitable for an adult, and no walk in shower just a hand held one which was very disappointing.

We had room 16 which was in an annexe that may have been a stable block, a short walk from the main building. It was good for us because it had its own entrance on the ground floor which is easier for exercising our two dogs last and first thing. The bed was very comfortable but the decor was austere and getting a bit shabby. A good sized bathroom but again due for a refurb. The restaurant ambience was very pleasant as were the waiters, but the food ranged from excellent to ordinary. All staff very pleasant and helpful.

Room decor needs updating. The Chef is a little too avant-garde for his/her abilities.

On arrival I was about to be shown a room outside the Chateau, but on my request, because my wife is handicapped ,we were accommodated in the chateau near the lounge, bar and restaurant. We very much enjoyed the dinner. The breakfast was also good if a little pricey. the staff throughout our staywere very helpful.

We were looking for a dog friendly stop over and this was perfect. Lovely setting with walks to exercise the dog. The staff were all very friendly and helpful even though our French isn’t very good. Enjoyed our meal in the restaurant, lovely food and service.

The room was lovely but a little small.

Great location on the D2020 and outside the main urban area of Orléans so it was perfect for us as we were travelling on motorbikes. The grounds and the château are beautiful and there was the bonus of a swimming pool. Lastly the food was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Not much we didn't like except the size of the room, it seemed a bit smaller than indicated on the booking.

It is just such a wonderful location with very friendly staff - we were met at reception by Catherine who spoke very good English - and made very welcome as always. We travel with our two dogs and it both them and us are made to feel welcome in the bedroom and the surrounding parkland

it was a Chateau

we were booked into a superior standard room. There was nothing superior about this room. Dark, cold and basic. it didn’t have a shower, only a bath with hand held shower spray. We asked if they had a room with a shower, she said they only have 2 rooms with a shower. we moved to one at extra cost.

Beautiful property and good welcome. Lovely peaceful atmosphere and excellent restaurant.

The room was small and a little cramped. There was no window just glass door so difficult to adjust to get cool as couldn't leave door open at night to remain secure.

The staff were really helpful and welcoming. The chateau was lovely and our room small but charming with a little terrace. We enjoyed the pool and sitting on the terrace for the evening meal

If you wanted to stay it was a bit off the beaten track

Primarily the help & support we received from the kind lady at reception who was exceptionally helpful in sorting out a problem with the car. A beautiful place Enjoyable dinner & breakfast Good value overall

The room was small and the room containing the WC almost too small to sit down in!
