Campanile Lyon Sud Feyzin

Close to motorway Easy, free of charge and safe (gated) parking Reception: the employee from Senegal had amazing manners, brilliant English (in France its a rarity) and briefed me fast and to the point. Bravo! Food: Pizza is so good, I couldn’t believe my senses, the taste lingered on in my mouth for quite a while. the smiling chef brought it to the reception by himself. Kitchen personell really love their job. Breakfast: I loved the interior, eggs with bacon were mouth-watering. A decent choice clean: it was very tidy

well, at home I sleep on a high-quality mattress and pillow (about 2.000 euro together) so to my taste the mattress was OK but the pillows were bigger than they should be. But I’m a gourmet as far as bedding is concerned. Chances are high you won’t notice it and will like it. Wherever I go I bring my pillow and my blanket with me. But this time I was so carries away by the delicious pizza that I forgot to do that.

We chose this hotel because of the parking lot that is closed off with a gate. We were travelling to our vacation address in Spain with a trailer with a motorcycle on it. The parking lot was good, as expected. The hotel is located near industry, so don't expect a romantic ambiance. It's a real oldskool motel, near the highway, two floors of rooms, all with their own frontdoor to the garden/balcony, with a parking space in front of it. I really like this. The rooms are clean and you can make your own tea/coffee. We were hungry when we arrived and we could order a pizza in the restaurant \o/

Good choice for one night while in transit to another city and we also travelled with a dog. I liked that we could park just outside our room.

I accidentally turned on the heater in the bathroom and found it a but more difficult to close it, but eventually it turned off. Also the lighting in the bathroom could be better and stronger.

Since there's no restaurants close by, there's still the possibility to eat even on Sunday evening. For us a good place since we had a dog who was welcomed also in the restaurant. Walking the dog close by was also ok since not in the middle of a busy center.

A Fridge would have been great.

It’s right next to an incinerator plant which was surreal but fine for us as we were only there as a stopover on our way down south rather than to take in the sights of the industrial end of Lyon!

We always use Campanile Hotels on our journey to the South of France. The check in was easy and we had a refurbed room. Particularly like this Campanile as it’s very close to the autoroute. We like Campanile as they are dog friendly

Clean, comfy and easy to find

We were awoken by cleaners in the morning who actually entered our room, not what you’d expect but we were apologised to by the man on reception who dealt with the situation very well

It’s a typical roadside motel, very convenient and refurbished. Nice breakfast.

The A/C is not working very well, it was ok for when we went but in case of an heatwave, it is potentially an issue.

Staff were simply excellent… friendly, helpful, attentive which is very rare for a supposedly budget hotel chain. They should be recognised for what they do.

Nothing

Very practical near the highway on our way to the Alps. Secure parking so no need to unload all luggage ! Rooms are comfy. Looks like a US motel but better.
