B&B HOTEL Châteauroux A20 L'Occitane

Location suited my purpose on the way south.

The soap dispenser in my shower cubicle had not been replaced or refilled - it was empty. The basin was in the far corner of the room where there was another soap dispenser that had soap in it. I had to constantly get out of the shower on slippery floors to get handfuls of detergent from there then go back to the shower to complete washing. It was not fun and dangerous - all from someone carelessly not checking the soap dispenser.

Staff, rooms and breakfast are all fantastic. Staff are welcoming and rooms are very clean and quiet. Good parking and great location. Breakfast is available 5am to 10am so if you’re travelling and need to leave early it’s great. The guy that works overnight and in morning makes the great buffet breakfast and there is plenty of choice, really worth paying for this. Plenty of food choices to eat out in the evening within eat walking distance. Secure parking to. Overall fantastic.

My usual review is that staff are friendly and helpful, location is excellent, good restaurants/cheaper petrol in the surroundings . This time I want to give 20 out of 10 for care above and beyond. I had an accident when arriving at the hotel, before even checking in. Aurore called an ambulance and cared for me until they arrived, as well as checking me in and getting my belongings from my car for me. Gabriela kindly took charge of my (large) dog, walked and fed her and left her safely sleeping in my room until I returned from the hospital some hours later. I couldn't have been better cared for, thank you.

Friendly staff, great location (just off motorway exit, roughly mid-way through France), amenities (restaurants, bakery, supermarket, cheaper petrol than on motorways), safe area to walk around at night or early morning (with or without dog), breakfast is good (even if I skipped it this time).

I choose this hotel every time I travel south or north for its convenience, cleanliness (not like some unnamed chains), friendliness of staff, restaurants and affordable petrol (big Carrefour nearby, 15c cheaper than on motorways) nearby and that it's a safe place to walk my dog early morning or late at night before and after long trips.

My only complaint was that I think my pillow was due for retirement. And some idiot bikers revving and playing loud music at 1 am on the street outside (but that's not the hotel's fault). Everything else was just as good as ever

Very handy located close to the A20. The hotel staff were super helpful and I could even store fridge sensitive food items at 4°C and my ice packs at -20°C A stay at the hotel gives a 15% discount at the nearby restaurant Courte Paille and 10%

There are 3 B&B hotels in the same area so can be easily confusing…

As usual, friendly staff, great location, restaurants and cheaper than motorway petrol, safe area to walk around with a dog early or late. Electric charging station on the road behind the hotel.

Efficient breakfast operation, clean, quiet, relaxing. The shower was excellent, room very clean

Would be welcome to have tea and coffee making facility in the room, and a chair to put clothes on.

As usual, warm welcome, convenient room. Location excellent - restaurants, large supermarket (unfortunately out of petrol, but friendly local told me where I could find some a few km away)
