Holiday Inn Express Arras, an IHG Hotel

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A great shower - plenty of room and a floor with a very good grip. Breakfast was plentiful, well presented and good to eat. One coffee machine was not working but there was another that was. Location, although not right in the tourist centre, was very convenient.

The staff were kind, helpful and professional, the room exceeded my expectations (its size, comfort and cleanliness); breakfast was fresh and with plenty fruit which I particularly loved; and although the hotel these days had many guests (which showed during the breakfast) I never heard any noise. The central location of the hotel made it easy for me to reach not only the typical tourist sites, but also the place of business and most importantly the train station (which was wonderful as I did not have to wake awfully early to reach the station for the train back to Paris airport). Had the weather been better I am sure I would have fully enjoyed the adjoining terrace (quite large). Also, the wifi access is stable and fast and it is a great asset if you are travelling for business as well as pleasure.

The check-in time is 3 pm but the train from Paris airport arrives at 2 - if one is arriving on Sunday that might be a bit problem as not many nearby restaurants are open on Sundays and one has to pay early entry; also, the hotel does not have a restaurant (some food could be gotten from the bar, and it was ok, but not much choice and not a great option if one is on special health diets).

The hotel exceeded expectation, from the communication before arriving to the very friendly and professional greeting on arrival by Fanny , when it was clear that all our prior requests had been noted and actioned. We arrived early after an overnight flight from Australia and a room was fortunately available for our early check in. The hotel has a well kept and fresh decor and the beds a very comfortable. Breakfast was great and the parking choice good. Parking outdoors behind the hotel was inexpensive. Nice little bar for an evening drink.

A note to drivers that the street outside the hotel has recently been made one way for cars.

Excellent, friendly staff who were very helpful when we arrived with 2 sleeping toddlers following a DisneyLand trip. This hotel is very clean and the room extremely spacious. We asked for a travel cot which was provided in addition to other baby facilities which was a great help. Would recommend to anyone travelling with young children.

Although there is an agreement with the local council for parking underground very near, it wasn’t as convenient as other hotels we have stayed. We managed fine but added bonus if on-site, free or reasonable parking was available.

We arrived very late after a day at Disney and as a stop over to Calais. Bit of a faff getting into the building as we parked in the car park and couldn’t find it in the dark and rain. Once we found it, the hotel manager let us in and was very friendly. Free breakfast included with a good selection. Big sized room and late check out which meant we could rest for a few hours and were comfortable. Lovely shower.

Clearer signs for car park & hotel

Very clean. Great beds. Immaculate bathroom and great shower. Brilliant choice for breakfast. Nice bar area. Staff were excellent. Very well sound proofed room and very quiet surrounding area. A few steps from the station. 5 minute walk from the town centre. Perfect base for Somme battlefield tours. Check in and check out easy. Great communication.

TV channels. Otherwise I couldn't say anything negative about the hotel.

I booked to stay here for a family of 4, 2 nights as part of a trip to visit the Somme battlefields. The hotel was very well located to visit all of the major sites. The staff were very friendly, the room comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent. All for a very competitive price.

The instructions on how to find the parking could have been a bit clearer as it took me a couple of attempts.

Everything really. No complaints at all. The only thing (for us) was that with my wife's mobility issues, it was a little too far to walk to the Christmas Market. We did however go by Taxi. All staff we met were very friendly and helpful, especially the "front of house" staff. Large room, excellent breakfast, bar snacks available, reasonably priced drinks (for France!!), says it all really. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Great location in the centre of town opposite the train station. We drove so parked our car securely in the underground parking that is directly linked to the hotel reception via a private lift for guests and it only cost 12€ for 24 hours. Also the staff were all great and the room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great breakfast as you’d expect to set you up for the day 👍

The hotel rooms were clean with very modern fixtures and fittings particularly in the bathroom which look like it was brand new. It was in a convenient location for a quick overnight stop on the way from Paris to Calais. Staff spoke very good English so no translation issues whatsoever. Very comfy bed and linens - fluffy pillows too. Good value for money.

Wish there was more convenient parking. But we were able to find street parking so not a problem in the end. Otherwise not much to dislike.
