Hôtel du Soleil Levant

Have been to Argeles-Gazost many times, a great place for a road cycling holiday with many Tour de France climbs in close proximity. My first time staying at this hotel. All good about my stay, restaurant was great, good food and reasonably priced. Breakfast also good. I'd really like there to be a fridge in the room. Wifi was best in the lounge area but quite slow / sketchy in my room on 2nd floor. Love the view from my bedroom window over Hautacam, great for seeing the sunrise.

Hand held shower in the ensuite to my room. A walk in shower would be better please. Would also like there to be a small fridge in the bedroom.

really amazing breakfast! great local products. and although we didn’t have a balcony when you turn your head you could see mountains. we had to leave a day early so only stayed a night. I read there was a jacuzzi on booking but didn’t see it anywhere? the staff were kind and it was dog friendly and our dog was quite welcome. the room was comfy with a queen bed and bunk beds. would have loved to have time to try the restaurant! big kid friendly park nearby

it was very clean, and for me the smell of cleaning products was quite strong but I am sensitive to this.

Great location the hotel has a lovely ambience run by a lovely warm and welcoming woman. Great dinner but go hungry as portions are generous. Staff very nice. It was ideal for us for just one night.

The hotel is very conveniently situated near the centre of town. It has good parking and the staff are obviously used to dealing with cyclists, bikers, etc. Breakfast was excellent with a really good choice. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room was pretty tired, especially the bathroom. It seems like it's time for a renovation. The bed was not all that comfortable.

The staff is very welcoming and kind. The location is excellent. The room where we stayed was incredibly cozy and offered a fantastic view. The place is only a 5-minute walk away from the famous Bain des Jardins and the bus station that goes to Cauterets. I definitely plan to come again.

massive bed in a large room, electric shutters on window made the room nice and dark for a good nights sleep, good shower over a bath, decor a tiny bit dated in places but just observation as this in no way affected my stay, very helpful and happy staff and a tasty breakfast for a small charge. great value

nothing to dislike

The room was well decorated, clean and fresh. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom and public spaces were a little “tired”, but clean. Breakfast was very good

The noise from the road was quite loud in the morning. Sounds silly, but the position of the loo roll holder meant that you couldn’t sit properly on the loo.

A lovely hotel, run by helpful friendly staff. A homely atmosphere at reception and in restaurant. We had a superior double with a balcony, which was a lovely large, bright room. Dined here on first night and food was very good - local produce / menu. A short walk into the town and the local restaurants and shops. Good meal second night at Au Fond Du Gosier - 5 minutes walk away. Good breakfast and free parking. Would definitely stay again

Ladies on reception were lovely, so welcoming and pleasant. Food in restaurant was really good, some different dishes, we liked the menus on boards!

would have preferred a walk in shower as I am disabled but I managed.

The hotel serves as a good basis for mountain tours in Gavarnie area. Don't miss going to the hotel's restaurant. It is fantastic, one of the best we've been to in France.

The rooms can be a bit better ventilated. Otherwise very comfortable.
