Hotel Knudsens Gaard

+ Good location roughly 2 km away from the center. + Somewhat quiet area. + Shops and supermarkets nearby. + Very friendly and helpful staff. + Uncomplicated and quick check in and check out. + Good breakfast. Great variety of buns and tasty granolas.

- Electric sockets didn't work at first. But the staff quickly showed us that we needed to flip a switch. You kind of need to know or ask about it. - There was some sort of "old water" smell constantlyin the bathroom. - Whenever you use the toilet or any water in the bathroom, there is a dripping sound hearable in the room for the next 30 minutes. - I received an info mail from the hotel before but it was exclusively in Danish. Would be great to also send it in English, so you don't have to consult an online translator. - Some natural, unsweetened yoghurt or skyr at breakfast would be awesome.

Room was comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Delicious food in the restaurant in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good parking at the hotel. Convenient bus to the centre of town and back. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and enjoyed Odense particularly the HC Anderson museum.

Just take care with the slippy mattress toppers. Mine kept sliding sideways and I slid to the floor on it on the first night!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Knudsens Gaard- all staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and roomy. The bathroom was comfortable and the shower was warm and very nice. The breakfast was good although not a large selection of choices - both warm and cold foods. Wi-Fi worked fine and the hotel was good value and had an interesting history.

The hotel was a ways from the Old Town- a 20-25 minute walk.

The staff were very helpful and nice. The room was quiet and clean, had accessories, water kettle, coffee, tea etc. Overall a nice hotel.

The room was too small, especially the bathroom. The bed was narrow, turning over risked falling out of the bed. I booked the 12m² room. Tip: if you are a single traveller like me, perhaps the 15m² room would be worth the extra money.

Nice hotel, staff friendly enough. Room was average size and clean enough. Next to a petrol station and.busy road but we couldn't hear any road noise and the petrol.station actually came in handy for some essentials. 15-20 minute walk into the centre via a long straight road through a really nice housing area. Breakfast was nice and plenty to choose from.

Motel-style. Was supposedly a "small" single but plenty of space including desk, chair and armchair. Reasonable sized bathroom. No issues with wifi, hot water, etc. Very good buffet breakfast although restaurant does get busy. A bit out of town but found a decent restaurant and bar c15 mins walk away. Can get to hotel from the station by bus (24Kr, cash to driver, change given, no credit cards).

No negatives.

The building and room was a cute heritage property. Staff were very helpful and there were free bikes for us to use to take into the town centre. There was also free car parking right outside of our room.

Not right in the town centre but that was fine as it was an easy cycle ride in (see free bikes above). the bed was fine but a little small & soft.

The breakfast had good healthy choices. The room had a simple beautiful to it. The building had a simple and rural beauty

The bathroom - it was not easy to use for a handicapped individual the floor became way to slippery when wet and there where to few places to hold on to. I couldn’t use it without my husband’s help. The cobblestones in the yard were impossible with a wheelchair.

Amazing experience. We really enjoyed the stay. At the reception they helped us for the accomodation, and the staff at the restaurant was the best one ever met. The room was in the newest part of the hotel and the room was very tidy and clean. Although it was closed to the street, they were really silent!

Awesome receptionist lady! Nice large room, good enough location - walking distance to both city center and Dyrskupelads. Very tasty breakfast with cinnamon buns so good that I'd go back only to get more of them.

Pretty chilly inside, the double bed was more like two beds put together instead of seamless one.
