Hampton Inn Tropicana

Easy to find and near the strip. Comfortable, large room. The breakfast was great with a good variety of items-no need to go out. Staff was pleasant, patient and helpful! Much less stressful than being on the strip.

I found nothing to dislike.

In our experience, you can't go wrong with a Hampton. Clean, spacious accomodation, great pool and amazing breakfast. We even got a room with a view towar the Las Vegas strip, great touch.

At the moment, there's lots of construction around the hotel, it's not possible to walk to the Strip without coming along some creepy corners because of course pedestrians come second in this country, you'll probably end up taking an Uber or Cab, although distance wise that wouldn't be necessary (Excalibur/New York New York are close). So that's the one thing we didn't find perfect.

They texted me after my check-in to confirm if everything had worked out for me. I also like the breakfast; they had staff there to serve the waffles. That helped eliminate the mess made by guests.

The backdoor access was not working. I tried using the room key to enter the property through the back door which is next to the swimming pool, but it did not work. A guest came out from the hotel, so he let me in. He said he had the same experience with the door. I had informed the staff when they were checking on me via text; the staff replied that they would send someone to check on it. I am not sure if they have got it fixed.

Great location right off the strip & highway. Hotel was clean & staff was super kind & even went out of their way to help give us local suggestions. Lots of parking. Great stay & would return!

My only improvement is to change the website to share that the shuttle is not being offered. It was one of the reasons we booked this hotel & caused us making last minute changes late at night scrambling for transportation. I should have checked sooner, but assumed the info was correct.

Employees were very nice and helpful - we actually met a Romanian lady at the front desk and we sort of felt like home talking to her. The room was nice, clean and very spacious. The pool area was very relaxing, water very clean.

Breakfast was very poor from our point of view, there was literally no vegetable. There a lot of sugary options, but more healthy food is really necessary. Blueberry muffins were really good, have to say that. We paid a $50 deposit on arrival which was meant to be returned 7 days after checkout. We did not, yet, receive the refund and there is no reply from the hotel. This was very disappointing.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night after arriving very late into Las Vegas airport. Since we didn't plan to visit the Strip or downtown Las Vegas and needed access to interstate 15 to continue our trip, the location was prefect for us. The room was clean and quiet, the complimentary buffet breakfast was more than sufficient.

The problem was that they couldn't find our reservation that was confirmed by Booking.com and hotel itself (via email that was sent 2 days earlier). The hotel was completely booked for that night and their partner hotels also didn't have any availability. The nice lady at the reception desk eventually found the empty room and we were able to have a restful night.

This was a fantastic alternative to staying on the strip Very affordable with a huge breakfast included in the price. Waffles, eggs, sausages, fruit, cereal. The room was huge and clean, plenty of ice machines dotted around to keep cool. About a 10 / 15 minute walk from the strip over two bridges and main roads. In the day time felt very safe, night time maybe not so much but thankfully there are plenty of Ubers and taxis. The best thing about this hotel was the pool and hot tub. We used these facilities loads when we were tired and too hot to continuing looking around the strip highly recommend.

Everything was amazing. We paid a small fee for parking which we didn't mind.

The staff. Very nice. The security was high level; no key, you aren't easily getting into the lobby, the elevator won't move, and your room. Yikes. I left my cellphone behind after checking out. No bug deal. The staff assisted me in retrieval. No fuss and a smile. Air conditioner was LOUD, but cold, yay.

Ok, we're picky. The breakfast was awful. My husband tossed out the sausage, potatoes, and plastic looking omelets. I put a yogurt, sliced almonds, and rice crispness together for a faux granola bowl. Coffee was good.

Breakfast was a bonus.

Booking.com site advertises free parking however it is not free they charge by the hour or I believe it was $12 per day. Couple of the front desk ladies were short with me but overall the others were very welcoming and helpful.

This is a great place to get away from the smoke smell and the casinos so you can rest comfortably in a well cleaned room. The location wasn’t too far from the strip and we like walking so it was just a 20 walk to New York New York. The staff was super friendly and you got all you need in one place: breakfast, a nice clean pool, and a fitness area. I would highly recommend if you’re doing a family trip with your kids. Weekends are a bit expensive but the daily rate on the other days we’re decent.

The price is still a bit high compared to the other hotels around the same area. I understand the big part probably goes into the extensive cleaning.
