Ocho Artisan Bungalows

Bungalow itself was nice and nicely appointed. location to the beach was great.

I wouldn’t classify Ocho as a 5-star luxury resort. Too many details and maintenance issues - open air bathrooms are unique, but require maintenance/repair, outdoor beach furniture need repair/cleaning/replacement, restaurant/parking/kitchen/reception is convoluted to the point where the back-of-the-house operations distract from the experience. Music and club atmosphere was fun, but difficult/constant for the two bedroom beachfront bungalow - maybe a bit more serenity before 2-3pm if wanting to attract a more luxury clientele.

The property was well maintained and a true Authentic getaway. We truly felt Costa Rica surrounded us here. The location was perfect and beach front. The food was outstanding and fresh. We tried a few other places to eat in town and couldn’t find anything better than Ocho. The staff make you feel comfortable and cared for. They were right there for all our needs and more assuring our stay in Costa Rica was second to none. Thank goodness for air conditioning. The Bungalow was top notch and beautiful. We stayed in both 8 and 9. Only suggestion is to have hooks in the bathroom for towels and wet clothing and more space for clothing in bungalow 8. If you are looking for an experience of a lifetime Ocho Bungalows will not disappoint! Very romantic and exotic! We loved our pool time as well, massages on the beach, beach bar hopping, our private sailing afternoon, spa day, I could go on and on! Thank you to all!

The open air in the bathrooms made for an open area for ants and leaves to get in but it was also cool that way too. The nightlife across the street was really loud until about 1:00-2:00am on weekends.

Friendly staff and helpful staff and concierge (Miya). Miguel was awesome, friendly and making sure we felt comfortable along with all the staff. Amazing food and location. Unique accommodations unlike a large chain. Good swimming beach, pool and lounging area.

The rooms could be a little cleaner and there were a few pests that you would expect in a jungle but still more could maybe be done (these did not deter greatly from our experience). A little misunderstanding around some activities and pricing but not major.

We loved the setting and felt very private. The location was great, on the beach and close to town. The bungalow was a unique style we liked. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I loved sitting outside in the morning drinking my coffee. And the coffee you left for us was very good! Breakfasts were fabulous, we really enjoyed our stay,

Fantastic in every way! Amazing location, top notch service, bungalow was incredible! The pool is wow! Right on the beach! The food and drinks were great! Mika and his team were very attentive! I can’t say enough great things about Ocho Bungalow Beach Club! We will absolutely be back!

Nothing this place is amazing

Ocho is in the heart of Tamarindo yet in a jungle-like, Costa Rican-like estate directly on the incredible beach that goes on forever. Miguel, it’s colorful manager, was welcoming and attentive (as was the staff in general) and made our stay more than a pleasure. Loved our bungalow.

Great hot shower but cool water in the sink.

Very unique bungalows and great location. Great staff, the manager Miguel extremely nice as well as his entire staff. Also met the owner who was great.

A little pricey for the time we stayed. If breakfast was included that would have been great.

Amazing vibes all around and the staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make everything spectacular. Such a unique stay, I will definitely be back!

A/C could have been a bit better but it’s Costa Rica and you’re in a rustic bungalow so it’s to be expected!

Walkable to everything on the beach and in the town! Looked exactly like the photos beautiful beautiful property

The accommodation was excellent.

The surrounding noise from bars - it goes until late in the morning.
