Colours Oasis Resort LGTBIQ Plus Property

Colours was our first desistination in Costa Rica, a surprise trip to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday this year. I chose Colours specifically because it caters to the LGBT+ community and I had read such positive reviews. I highly recommend it! I had wanted to do a little something special to kick off his birthday trip and asked through the Booking.com message feature if I could arrange to have flowers waiting in the room for him. I recieved the warmest response to my request almost immediately and this gesture set the stage for an absolutely wonderful experience with the whole Colours team. The staff was so helpful and genuinely kind beyond any expectations, among other things guiding us on how best to see San José over the two days we were there and helping us to arrange transfer upon our return to the capital after a week of touring the country and transfer back to the airport the following day for our flight home. The team can help you will all kinds of other tour arrangements as well. The property features are great with a nice big pool, lovely bar and restaurant which made breakfast and lunch so convenient. All the meals we ordered there were terrific and made with such care. We spent a total of three nights at Colours - two on our front end and one at the back of our trip. We greatly look forward to our return there again soon. I highly, highly recommend Colours !

It is a very nice place. I most liked the pool area, the staff was particularly friendly, the wifi was fast, and breakfast good. Moreover, as I stayed there the day of the PRIDE, there was a fun party at night with a lot of queer and open-minded people. So, if you like it easy going and gay friendly, it's your place!

The room and bathroom were very small and without any window. That's ok just for sleeping, but not very confortable if you want to spend some time in the room. I was lucky because I had fun at the party, but if someone wanted to have a quiet moment for themselves, its possibly not the right place.

I have travelled to 23 countries and in all my time, the staff at Colours Oasis Resort, were the kindest, most personable staff I have come across. They took time to communicate with me prior to arrival, assure me of transportation and dietary needs, booking excursions, and worked with me on timing if pick-ups, drop-offs, transportation, and many other areas.

The only feedback I would offer would be 1) some of the rooms do need some minor repairs such as sliding doors or some updates, and 2) please have a designated vegan option (or a few) on the menu; not just something the chef can put together last minute as not all ingredients might be available.

All the staff were so kind and helpful! I really appreciated the help I got with bringing my bags to and from my room! Everything is priced well and the food was delish! The drinks were muy bueno! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bed was a great size for me as I like lots of room! The room was a nice size too! I did not use the pool. I did stick my feet in and the temperature was very nice! I would stay here again as the layout of the Resort is very interesting and I love the decorations and lights. It looks pretty during the day and at night its like a whole new place you're walking into! I felt really good here!

The walls may be a bit thin as I could hear other guests talking in the morning which wasn't so great!

The pool is the central hub of this amazing hotel - This is an adult hotel. The connection between the restaurant, bar and pool makes it a great social place to hang out. The staff, especially Eric, are all so friendly and helpful - they go out of there way to make sure their guests are happy and comfortable.

Everyone was friendly. On Sunday, The DJ's music from 10 AM to 2 AM was good.

On Day 3 (of 5) I asked the front desk if any of the rooms have a desk. They moved me to a room with a desk. I didn't find out they charged me $30 for the change until I went to check out. It would have been nice to have been given the option.

Great location to have a fun evening amongst other gay people. Bar, Drag Show, fun people around. Highly recommend for an overnight stay in San Jose.

Rooms are a bit outdated, and be aware that in the evenings there are party events, so in case you are noise sensitive only go to bed once the party is over ;)

the staff. Eric, Ryan and the rest of the staff were warm, friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. could not say enough great things about them.

the rooms need work. the bathrooms need a lot of work. no hot water and broken shower.

This was my 2nd time to Costa Rica and the week I stayed here was SO amazing, comfortable and the staff was absolutely amazing!!! I can't wait to ho back in May to see them!!!

Extraordinary friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant has a limited menu but our selections were carefully prepared and delicious. The bartender was creative and talented. The location is outstanding . Special price was such a value.

Ground level room was small but adequate. Next time we will upgrade the room.
