Hotel Casa Roland Golfito Resort

This is a nice resort style hotel with a huge pool we really enjoyed with our children. The room was ok too, airconditioning worked fine, strong wifi everywhere. The receptionists, especially Angelica were really nice and helpful. The restaurant was really good, the prices were modest.

The breakfast was a bit boring and they stopped filling the buffet at around 8.40 altough breakfast was until 10, so at times the tables were almost empty when we arrived. We were there around Christmas and we couldn't find any reasonably priced tours in the area.

Air conditioner in our room was barely working and noisy. The room was small but ok. Way too many local teenagers in the pool on Sunday who horsed around and frequently splashed guests and made it very uncomfortable to relax or swim. The pool is very nice but not closed to resort patrons only. This made one day at the pool a poor experience.

The rooms were quiet. Great water pressure in shower. The public areas were beautiful, especially the pool. The breakfast was great. The gym was, according to my husband, "The best I've seen in Costa Rica!" We were also grateful for their dog-friendly policies!! <3

The rooms need help. Mattress was just okay. The toilet handle had to be pulled up or it wouldn't stop running. I found this ironic because they had signs asking us to turn off the water while brushing teeth to conserve water. No wifi in rooms.

Golfito doesnt have many options for hotels, unless you want to stay in an eco lodge remotely. What i liked about this place is the swimming pool (also locals come to chill here), massage with Rocio (highly recommend, it's not cheap but she takes the time and does it right), food is descent, bar is nice, washing service for clothes (after fishing, was done in 2 hours so there is no smell), phone shop close by for simcards, taxis close by...a lot of good things considering CR standards and taking into consideration that the location isnt as popular yet as it might be in the future.

Slighly dissapointed that: - swimming pool isnt open before breakfast, would be nice to go for a swim early mornings - i booked junior suite as i wanted a nice room, but it was on the side of electricity generator that is loud and runs all night, not ideal. - AC is very loud, impossible to run during night

The room was great, but we had pay over $100 for the upgraded room. It had a sitting area with a TV and a balcony. The other nice thing was that it had a fridge that was larger than the normal bar fridge. Nice furnishing and a great bathroom.

The restaurant left a lot to be desired. It was basically a sports bar and was very loud even for a terrible breakfast. Golfito does not have beaches and really is not set up for tourists. I don't recommend it unless you are a boater or fisherman.

Looks amazing, facilities, artwork, pool, etc

Receptionist at the hotel Saturday May 6th at 4 pm. was rude, lacked completely customer service skills. she ruined our good mood with a poor attention to us, and wasn’t even able to welcome us to the hotel. also guys you need to change those pillows and shower head (it feels like a good hotel, until I went to sleep and when took showers).

I go often, so that's why I don't review each and every time, but since the emails won't stop... It's a great location, the hotel is very nice, in the middle of the jungle, but with all the amenities. The gym is super-sized, the breakfast is amazing, what can I say... I'll go back every time I'm in the area. And the price is right!

Pool area beautiful! Great bird watching in morning and late afternoon. Scarlet and green macaws, toucan’s, plus lots of other birds. Restaurant/bar area with great staff and great food. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very helpful, hardworking. Housekeeping was exceptional!

Air conditioner in my room was super noisy, but I was still able to sleep.

The entire hotel is amazing. From the art on the walls to the comfy poolside chairs, it was so well-equipped and we felt totally relaxed. The staff is amazing! We were greeted with smiles, humour, and friendliness each time we encountered anyone working there. Joshua in the restaurant was especially fun! We booked the suite and the extra room, HUGE TV, and balcony were a major plus. We felt like we could spread out and relax. Super location as well.

Housekeeping is wonderful and helpful when you need extra supplies. Bed was comfortable I just wish they had King size beds as we are tall.

It wasn’t as clean around the pool as previous times when we have been there.
