This place is amazing. Decor is on point, amenities are good, space distribution is really nice. Loved their breakfast menu. There are so many options and the staff is happy to accommodate. Everyone was very helpful and friendly during my stay. Bring earplugs. The city may get noisy at night. Coworking space not included for hostel guests.
The reason I chose to stay at Selina was their coworking space. I am not opposed to having to pay to access a space with premium internet and good amenities. What I have an issue with is having to pay the same price, when you are a guest of Selina. There are no incentives to stay at Selina solely based on coworking access. I could stay somewhere else and, if I chose to, work from Selina, which defeats the entire experience

We booked a small room with a shared bathroom however were upgraded on arrival to a standard room with en-suite - the room was huge, tastefully decorated, had loads of wardrobe space and a flat-screen smart TV with netflix/amazon prime etc. The bed was large and very comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful and had shampoo/conditioner/shower gel provided. The hostel itself had lots of activities each day available to join (we didn't end up doing any), a bar and restaurant with tasty food and drink, a shop with nice crafts and souvenirs and really friendly staff (they helped me practice my Spanish!). I like the touch of having a free welcome drink on the day you check in as well. For us it was the perfect base to explore Bogota - the transmilenio bus stop is close by and it's only a 15-20 min walk to trendy restaurant and bar/cafe areas in Zona Rosa/T/G (we felt perfectly safe walking between the hostel and these areas in daylight).
One significant drawback is the noise - we were in a private room on the top floor but we could easily hear anything going on on the lower floors at night (especially at weekends, the music is loud until late). The walls are also very thin so you can hear people in the hallways and adjacent rooms very easily (again, both late at night and very early in the morning) and doors slamming. If you are a light sleeper and want to get plenty of sleep, this is perhaps not a good option... The only other downside to the room was the lack of ventilation as there were no windows.

Overall, a very nice Selina. Quality and spacious private room with comfortable bed. Also had a refrigerator to keep drinks cold. The Common areas were nice with good general food available to order. Very friendly staff. And good location.
The Coffee Pot in the common kitchen had No actual coffee pot, had to use a cup instead, that's not acceptable! And a small coffee pot in the private room would have been nice as is common in most other hostels/hotels.

The private room here is sooo spacious. I have stayed at a lot of Selina's and this room was the most spacious and had beautiful windows with lots of lights. I liked how there was a desk in the room as I am a digital Nomad. Internet for digital nomads was fantastic. If you don't want to work in your room, there is a cute coffee shop and cow working space downstairs. The location was also super close walking distance to Zona T with tons of amazing restaurants and lots of great shopping to do.
The staff wasn't the most helpful compared to other Selina's. For example, I asked them for a recommendation of a restaurant and they simply told me they didn't know. I thought that they could have at least guided me to 1-2 places they like or recommend.

I loved here! Felt welcomed as soon as I stepped my foot in. The staff was SO cool and they helped me several times during my stay - even if just for some chit chat. The hostel itself had a marvelous structure, from the reception to the co working spaces, and I doubt any other hostel in Bogota could beat that. But the room, OH THE ROOM - best one I ever had at any hostel all around the world > spacious, comfy and so well designed. The location felt safe and was close to Zona Rosa - it was pretty walk able. I'd definitely stay here!
Being a Selina hostel, it is more geared towards digital nomads rather than old school backpackers, so it lacked some social atmosphere - on the other hand, the staff was very social so it wasn't a huge deal breaker. Not a lot of touristic things around the area so I'd split my stay in Bogota in two: you have to sleep at least one night in Candelária!

Loved the yoga studio that was mostly empty. There is a movie room and a small library, very cool. Also the cafeteria and kitchen are super nice. In general a lot of style and beautiful design and the staff is so friendly and helpful.
Our room was tiny with no window so there was no air at all. The place is big, feels like a hotel and not very social. There was something going on almost every night so there was a lot of noise until late. I like better the small homey hostels than the big commercial ones.

Chapinero is a great neighbourhood- a few blocks and you are right there. Price for dorm bed is ok
Not clean, staff not involved, lots of other guests (locals, long term stay, co-working) reception has NO information about nothing (ie local public transport, getting around in Columbia), no real backpackers‘ vibes

The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hostel is extremely clean inside and I really liked the studio flat I had. They designed activities and spaces where people could socialise if they wanted to, but equally you could have your own space. It had a relaxed vibe to it. It also felt safe and well connected. I would highly recommend it and gladly stay there again.
Nothing.

Loved the decoration, the beds and sheets were super comfortable, breakfast was very good also! Location was a plus, could walk to many places and it was a very safe and vibrant area.
My disappointment were regarding the transfer I booked with Selina, I chose to book a transfer because was my first time in Bogotá, and alone, so I felt it would be safer. They first charged me 62.000 pesos (already expensive) but I spent an hour stucked in migration line and the driver charged me for the extra hours of waiting and it was a rip-off at the end: 90.000 pesos. So, NEVER, EVER, book a transfer with them, just get an Uber and you'll pay way cheaper. Also, the shower on my floor wasn't working, and instead of trying to fix it they told me to go for a shower on another floor.

I loved every detail about Selina Chapinero. You have everything that you possibly need, so actually you don't really need to leave the building and you can stay there forever. It feels like home. I was planning to stay 2,3 days max and I ended up staying for 9 days! Both dorms and private rooms are super comfy. The internet is strong and reliable in the whole building so I could stream zoom for my work without any issues. The spacious beautiful yoga room is one of the best amenities that I used a lot. There's a very cozy library, where you can hang out and meet people. There's even a cinema!!! I arrived super early in the morning and even took a nap there :D The kitchen is fully equipped. There are so many activities and events... But the very best is the staff!!! Special thanks to the best bartender in the world, Víctor - super skilled, always very attentive and of course preparing most delicious fresh juices and cocktails. He gave us a free workshop on the preparation of my favorite cocktail - cosmopolitan. Thanks to Sebastian and Anderson and the rest of the crew to make me feel at home. Thanks to Cezar, Rafael and Laura at the reception for all the good tips and help. Thanks to both Anderson from the security for keeping us safe. Thanks to the whole kitchen staff for the yummy food. Thanks to the cleaning ladies not only for the spotless cleanliness, but for always smiling back and talking. And thanks to the manager, Daniela to resolve quickly the problem of my fire props going on their own travels around the region due to a funny misunderstanding :D. I would recommend Selina Chapinero to everybody! <3
Seriously, everything was more than good. Maybe the person, sleeping underneath me, could have used the shower sometimes, but this is a completely different story :D
