Hotel Santa Lucia Boutique Spa

Santa Lucia hotel is located in a beautiful colonial style building. Our junior suite was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is good within walking distance from.Plaza Bolivar and other sights and plenty of restaurants. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast was okish. The coffee let's it down. It doesn't taste of coffee at all. The omelette is meant to have ham, sausage etc but you can hardly taste it nor see it. The bread that comes with it is of poor quality. The pancakes were nice. They don't offer any toiletries apart from a little soap and the towels are super thin and a bit old.

The room fits the description online. I was comfortable with it as it had all I needed. The bed was comfortable and the room had enough space for me. I liked the fact that there was a desk so I could work while I was there as well. There was hot water so that was appreciated. The breakfast at the hotel was good. I only ate there twice but I ordered from a menu with about 3-4 things to eat and I got fruits and fruit juice with that. You may order a hot drink with that as well, I only had coffee which was okay. The location is great as it is close to restaurants, shops, etc. Museo del Oro is a 4mins walk away and Plaza de Bolívar is a 10mins walk. You can walk to other museums as well from there such as the Botero Museum which is maybe 15 mins away and Monseratte is a short taxi ride away. There is a small restaurant beside the hotel where you can buy food, water, etc. A pharmacy is close by as well if you need toiletries(like I did) or medicine.

The place was cold when I got there because it was the end of May. There is no heater but using the comforter at night allowed for a comfortable rest. Outside of bed is going to be a bit cold unless you wear appropriate clothing. I think the shower could've been a bit cleaner in my room. The staff didn't arrange my airport pick-up though we made that arrangement but they were still willing to send a car when I contacted them at the airport. That wasn't a big deal for me because lots of taxis are at the airport and I got one at the same rate. The staff was helpful however in getting me a taxi to the airport.

Excellent location, it's only a couple blocks away from Botero museum and Museo del Oro. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Included breakfast was delicious.

The staff here are amazing, I arrived early by 1.5 hours and they had the room ready to occupy within 5 minutes. Which I was so grateful for as I was feeling unwell. The suite I had was spacious, spotlessly clean and peaceful and quiet - but I use ear plugs, I recommend them as the my room was street facing. I wanted to book a massage and facial and they could not have been more helpful, the breakfast was simple but filling and tasty and the hotel is in such a good location! Go to Gold Museum nearby, 4000 pesos and its floors of amazing exhibitions. Florida cafe for traditional hot chocolate with cheese and bread is a short walk too, Carerra 7 is close for all sorts of stuff to buy. Be warned about taxis at Salitre bus terminal - I was hugely overcharged, I couldn't get an Uber - but you should not pay more than 30000 pesos for that trip - agree price up front if you can - I didn't and got a bit overcharged. Hotel is great - you will enjoy your stay here!

Very basic toiletries for a suite I thought - packets of soap only, and tiny 'bath' towels - they barely covered me! No floor towel to step out of from the shower either. Mini bar - empty. Not sure why you have one if it isn't stocked. No iPad, again - why advertise?

An oasis of tradition in a crazy built up and rather dirty area. Extremely large room though my first was at front which was very noisy but next day changed to back of hotel and staff very accommodating about this. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a good choice of dishes. Bathroom big and good shower.

Not one person spoke English so be prepared for that. Slightly annoying that they don't give you a key for front door which is locked permanently. But I guess more annoying for the staff who have to let you out and in.

Good location within walking distance to all the local sites. Apparently not the best area to walk late at night in though I didn't have an particular issues. Buzzed in and out of hotel which seems common in Columbia. Staff friendly and helpful - called a taxi for me in the morning to head to the airport

Room was very nicely decorated , clean, large, comfortable and a surprise compared to the reception. It is an old colonial building and even boasts a chapel! This property has many of the facilities of a high end hotel but is more akin to a family run establishment. I have to admit feeling disappointment when I arrived at reception but was more than pleased by the room.

Reception area needs a rethink as it does not properly represent the room standards. The chambermaids are also the breakfast cooks and the receptionists, so be prepared for delays. Bedrooms got quite cold at night so could use some form of heating/cooling. Asked reception to order a taxi to the airport for the next morning and it wasn't done when I arrived to leave. Also, for safety reasons, you have to be let in and out of the property...appears common in Colombia. The location, whilst relatively ok doesn't appear to be the safest or best but with usual cautions, all good!

very beautiful building with gorgeous patio to hang out in. felt very safe and secure as they had to let you in and out of the building. loved on site breakfast (with three different options, coffee, fresh juice, and place of fruits.) Staff was so friendly and helpful. good location near gold museum and near la candelaria. big massive rooms with unique vintage wooden furniture with beautiful modern bathroom.

Let me sing a long song about how much I loved staying here. The building was gorgeous old world style, like something out of a Wes Anderson movie. Just totally elegant. You feel a little bit transported to another world and the effect is very restful. The Staff was super attentive and friendly, happy to chat and give you some advice on whatever question you have. They offered me to switch my room to a better located one where it was a little more quiet and warm without me asking. Perfect location near all the touristy stuff in the downtown area, I mean, a half block off the main Street (Septima) and everything walking distance. Great for a romantic vacation. They have a spa available. Girlfriend and I got massages. It was great. The room was big and spacious and was more like a studio apartment, with a big bed, a couch, a desk and nice big TV with cable. the shower water was piping hot. The Wifi connection was above average strength compared to other hotels. Also places to eat literally on the same block, clothing stores, drug stores, whatever you need. Lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. This is the spot, just book it now. you wont regret it.

Its not really a negative against the hotel, because they do a great job of warning and consulting guests on this point, but you are in the center of a very big chaotic city and its potentially dangerous if you are naïve about it. You are a tourist and people can tell. The area reminded me a lot of downtown San Francisco: lots to see, but things move fast, lots of nice people but some shady characters too. I went out walking at night and had no problems but I have some experience living in a big city. Its not something to be scared off by but just go in with a sense of precaution and you will be fine.

Breakfast was delicious and free as part of room booking. Staff were great and very helpful, hotel is gorgeous and really old looking but in a good way, exposed wood ceilings etc.. location is a little dangerous at night, during the day perfectly safe.
