Holiday Inn Express Yorkton East, an IHG Hotel

the story go I was outside smoking and heard a meow to my surprise a 7-8 week old kitten was under this truck outside the Hotel. Temperature was -37 and -42 with the wind chill. I took the kitten into the Hotel the gentleman at the Front Desk was so Helpful in every way possible to help this poor little kitten who’s right ear was already frozen, He called Paws and Claw for who came to take her in. Thank You to this Gentleman who works at your Front Deck at your Hotel this man has such a great Trait that is seldom found in us as Humans. God Bless you for your Help. Sincerely Darrel

We were happy that there was a array of breakfast foods. It did have some gluten free items as well as items for those who like a hearty breakfast as well as those who eat a light breakfast. It was a very quiet hotel at night. Beds comfortable.

I would invest in a toaster to be used only by those who are celiac. It could be stored in a box or bag and used only for the gluten free items. Although my son only has an intolerance, others with celiac have to take one more step and use a separate toaster. It could also be nice to have a stool for the bathroom for those who are mobility challenged and it is easier to enter the tub from a stool that is the same height as the tub. Just an idea! It was nice to see the grab bar.

The hotel was really clean - both the common areas and the room. Staff were friendly. Bed was very comfortable..

Apparently the breakfast area was short-staffed. Consequently, when we went for breakfast at 830 a.m. a lot of the food was already gone and not replenished. The bacon was eventually refilled, but there were no scrambled eggs, packaged muffins, peanut butter, cream cheese, or jam (only marmalade). The poor woman who was in charge was doing her best to keep up but the hotel was busy and people were descending on the food lie a plague of locusts. It's too bad another staff wasn't able to be called in to help out.

Close to everything, easy to drive to and from. Exceptional young lady at the front desk. So pleasant and cheerful, a pleasure to walk in with her there. She had reddish long hair, can’t remember her name but really nice. Everyone was very pleasant, from the cleaning staff to the front staff. Would come again.

On last 2 nights had kids and heavy feet above me. Woke me up quite often and early. But it’s a family. I understand and I would t expect anything to be done. What what hotels have to put up with 💕

There were only sausages when we got there. No big deal normally, but was in a bit of a time crunch to get to a meeting, so it was a little annoying. Was very good when it was replenished. Everything, all in all, was good. Had a bit of a sewage smell in our bathroom, but it went away later. Room was very clean and comfortable. All in all a very good stay.

Can't say that there was anything we didn't like.

The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Requested a cot when I booked and they brought it right away when we checked in. The breakfast was great and the staff were continually checking to refil l and tidy the breakfast area. Would definitely recommend to someone needing a place to stay in Yorkton.

It was bad timing to stay there. There were hockey teams staying there, so they were loud. We were attending a family funeral, it was just bad timing. We couldn’t change the dates of our stay

Very clean, awesome breakfast including hot foods, plenty of variety to choose from and good coffee.

side drape panels could not cover entire window. While fan was blowing sheers did not stay in place. Felt exposed to apartment building across the street.

The staff was all friendly and their job very well. Especially liked the breakfast and the employee their really cared about how the food was tasting and making sure there was enough for everyone too

I liked everything really well definitely will go back. The pool area has quite a big area on the floor that always has water which is a slip hazard.

Easy to find, walking distance to restaurants. Continental breakfast was delicious, easy to pack To-Go containers. Coffee was good. Stayed for 9 days while working in area.
