It is a historical building surrounded by trees, trails, hills, lakes, beaches and farms. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is available everyday. It is so delicious. One of the best breakfasts I ever had. Be aware of that the restaurant in the hotel only opens 4 days a week, Thursday to Sunday. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The people living in the local areas also come for a dinner. The room is very clean. The shower towels are very clean as well. The hotel is run by a non-profit. All income goes to the local community. The price is reasonable and much lower that the hotels in Montreal city. The ice cream store and the cheese factory are a must visit spot.

Be ready for driving 30 minutes if you visit the Montreal city. You will need Google map to navigate you as the route is not straight forward. The room is on the smaller side. It has a sink. Ours is clogged. But we didn't tell the reception desk as we only stay here for 3 days and the shower room, although shared, is convenient to use. There is no air conditioner. The first night when we arrived was hot although there is a fan that we used to blow air in or out of the window. Thanks to the weather, the remaining two nights were cold, not just cool. So I guess most of the time you don't need an air conditioner.

The rooms were surprisingly large and the beds very comfy (double size). Each room has a sink. We were in the Chambre Religieux. You need to go down the hall a bit for the toilette and shower but the space is private Shower and toilette and a door that locks. Abundance of towels to use. Very clean and quiet. Continental breakfast had a nice selection of cereal, breads to toast and the Abbaye jams, creton and peanut butter, warm melt in your mouth croissants (chocolate and plain), boiled eggs, and fresh local apples. The food at Le Sacré bistro on site was amazing. There was a coffee machine that dispensed freshly brewed coffee, lattes, cappuccino, espresso and hot chocolate available 24/7 along with juice and filtered water. Staff were very accommodating. The Abbaye store had cheese, wine, snacks and a deli bar if you wanted to have a picnic lunch. Close to hiking, cycling.

There was no hair dryer on site. I would request a room with ensuite bath if I was staying longer.

Wow what a fabulous place! Magnificent historic building, gorgeous wooded setting, friendly and kind staff (Emma especially nice and also very helpful security guard). I want to live at the Abbey forever - so beautiful and peaceful and comfortable. Everything so clean and well-kept. Delicious food at breakfast especially house-made Oka cheese. I will return as soon as possible!

Stayed for a wedding on location. Lovely venue, and once we left the side where the wedding was and went back to the hotel side, it was very quiet. Very good selection of local products for breakfast, and easy access to tea and coffee all day.

Great use of an old Abbey. Rooms are very comfortable, and walking around the grounds and exploring the Abbey is fun.

The Abbey should have more pictures and historical memorabilia, literature and furniture from the Abbey days - for example, in the foyer. It is a missed opportunity.
