A quiet seating area in my room to enjoy my morning coffee. Close to the historical downtown area. Great linens on the bed. The bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom were spotless.

Everything about the Inn, with regards to comfort and cleanliness was good but I stay at Bed and Breakfasts to feel welcomed and this did not happen for me. The owners passed me several times without speaking or asking about my stay. There are cameras in the common area that made me feel ill at ease although I understand the need for this. During breakfast, I was never spoken to and sat alone. A gentleman came to clean the table from the guests before me and never spoke to me. I was grateful that on my last day a lovely couple greeted me and wished me a good day.

The staff were phenomenal! They knew our flight got in late so they made sure there was someone at the Inn to greet us when we arrived. We ordered pizza to the Inn one night and needed plates/cutlery which the staff provided promptly and free of charge. The breakfast was delicious (eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, fruit, yogurt, pastries, coffee, tea, juice, etc). They also allowed us a little later check-out as we had late afternoon flights home and they happily stored our luggage for us while we took advantage of our last day exploring! When we were ready to head to the airport, one of the staff gave us a ride (for $25, which is pretty much the going rate). We would definitely stay at the Sonata Inn again!

There really wasn’t anything that we didn’t like! The staff did a really excellent job of making our stay comfortable and enjoyable!

Free breakfast daily was a nice touch, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We checked in late and they were able to accommodate us. Location was wonderful and it was easy for us to walk around town. Bonus for having a parking lot on site for our vehicle (that we barely used because of how central the location was). The free coffee and tea in the kitchens on each floor was great as well!

As expected in an old building there is no elevator but a major plus was the staff was so helpful with bringing up my luggage! The rooms are also a bit drab (very brown and beige, would have loved to have seen more color to liven the place up).

The staff was very welcoming at all times and responded immediately to any special requests. The location of The Sonata is wonderful, in that we could walk to any downtown stores, parks and waterfront trails Our bed was so comfy that we were able to get a great night's sleep. A better mattress than we have at home, even!! Delicious breakfasts and the staff was good enough to make up a breakfast to take with us, due to an early flight, and we really appreciated that courtesy. Our room had its own heating unit, so that we could adjust the warmth to our liking. And since the weather was really, really cold on some days, this feature was essential to our comfort. Our thanks for a wonderful time.

The staff was not only friendly but super helpful in giving us ideas of what to and where to eat. They lent us umbrellas when it was raining, which was so thoughtful. They lent us cutlery when didn’t have any for our lunch. There is a washing machine available for customers for about $3 -$5 a load to wash and dry and they even included some detergent and a dryer sheet. This was a a huge blessing and so convenient especially when you are living out of a backpack for 2 weeks. The breakfasts had an assortment of choices and was a little different everyday. We were there for 3 nights and would definitely stay there again and recommend them to our friends and family. They have a wonderful location a block off the waterfront with 2 boardwalks and governors house museum and grounds as well as the Beaconsfield house not far away (like half a block). This really was a wonderful stay.

The only thing I can think of would be to have separate shampoo and conditioner not combined for people with crazy curls in that heat and humidity. Really there is nothing I would change.

Great location, spacious and tastefully decorated rooms and a comfy bed! They also have a common room with tea/coffee, microwave and fridge with drinks/water bottles.

Breakfast was really lacking compared to the inns in the same area. It could have used more variety and more flavour. The eggs were just OK, the bacon was soggy and the potatoes were just really sad from sitting on the hot plates. It might be more enjoyable for guests if breakfast is served fresh for each one of them. If you're planning to take a shower, the water pressure is not that great either.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bed was very comfortable. The location is quiet; we were able to sleep with the window open and be disturbed only by bird song. It's on the edge of downtown and we walked in a few times, as well as along the boardwalk to the lighthouse. Breakfast was basic but good. Was expecting continental but there was also eggs, hash browns, and bacon or sausage. This seems to be the 'Islander' breakfast

Location of this inn is excellent, just minutes walk to the town centre. The pantry on the 1st and 2nd floor is a nice touch, well stocked with fruits, coffee and tea. Staff was friendly. Overall a nice B&B experience.

The room that we were in was right above the reception table, we found it very noisy when guests and staff were talking. Breakfast was ok, simple scrambled eggs and toast, a small buffet table laid out for guests. Somehow for bed&breakfast, I had expected customised food cooked upon order.

Most often we are likely to choose a hotel , we were very pleased that in this case we chose a B&B. This lovely historical home was charming, clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Love the little sitting areas on each floor, coffee room available 24hrs. Room was comfortable I loved the vaulted ceiling with large windows which offered a view of an old Charlottetown street. Close enough to downtown to enjoy all the amenities and attractions but far enough that the streets were quiet at night. They advertise continental breakfast but in addition to the continental usual, we were offered freshly cooked bacon and eggs. Great experience, would definitely return next time we are traveling through.

The location was downtown, close to the wharf area and Victoria Park, yet situated in a very quiet neighborhood. Compared to other properties in the area, the Sonata Inn was very reasonably priced. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The Inn was very clean, the breakfasts were good, and the Inn had a guest laundry. Plenty of parking.

The Inn was in need of some TLC. The carpeting was older and the furnishings were showing some wear. Clean, but in need of updating.
