The room had everything I needed and the location was great too.

Wish it had a place for storing luggage after checkin out.

Although they do not have a full-time staff physically stationed at the receiption desk, they provided clear and direct instructions for late check-in tenants via advance email, together with smart way of getting their room keys effectively. In case they failed to complete the process, they can always pick up the phone near the entrance and there are always staff ready to answer and help. We have enquired and used the laundry services, they were charged at reasonable level and the staff were so nice to provide necessary advice. We have once failed to find our room key in our bags when returning from street, through the phone advice near entrance, we received clear and effective instructions so that we could enter our room with ease. Thereafter, the staff phone us at the room whether we have successfully entered our room, it was so thoughtful to us. We also checked out in very early morning for the flight, the drop box for room keys was a brilliant idea and most convenient for tenants.

The room was a bit small in size, but it is more than trade off with its excellent location and the reasonable price per night.

Decorated in individual style, rooms were different in style so felt a bit more welcoming than some standard clinical decors. Very much an old style house as described really. Location was around 20-25 minutes from the door to Union Station, straight forward and good underground train service.

Arrival at property not so smooth, no-one on reception or answering the phone so had to use out-of-hours phone number, this did work and receptionist came within a couple or so minutes. No lift and so if your room is on the top floor you don't want a heavy bag, no help was offered but maybe it was just assumed my husband would be fine.

Good location, close to Wellesley subway station, with many restaurants and cafes in the surroundings. The AC was a bit noisy, but the room and sheets were very clean, and the shower was more than okay. Good value for money in a pricey city such as Toronto.

I asked for an early check-in, but that did not initially work out very well. No one told me in advance there would be no staff on site, and I had a little trouble understanding the instructions to enter the facility. Older people might find it hard to deal with a staffless facility...

The location was great for walking near the university and the old government buildings. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The building and yard are beautiful outside. Having on site parking was a plus.

There are too many things plugged into a power strip with written warnings not to mess with anything, so I stayed with no functioning microwave or refrigerator only to find out later that they were plugged into a different power strip which was hidden. Also I was awoken multiple times throughout the night due to careless folks letting doors slam. Room 9 is literally next to 3 entrance doors. It can be expected to have some noise in an older building, but I think posting signage to be extra mindful when closing doors, mainly at night, could eliminate this problem.

The room was very attractive and spotlessly clean. It was decorated in Victorian style —the bed looked most inviting , the curtains were soft and the colour complemented the colour of the bedspread and the Victorian style bed frame . I liked the way the towels were arranged in the bathroom !

The middle shelf collapsed when I put a small bag on it — I managed to fix it . The tiny shelf supports on the right were not strong enough and also, the back panel moved away when I was trying to put the shelf back but it came back, almost in place afterwards !

The house was conveniently located near to a metro station. Moreover, it had a very nice atmosphere, with the Edwardian (not sure if I identified it correctly) style building, and the nice little front yard with water fountain. The staff was also helpful when it seemed I would only be able to arrive quite late.

A minor negative was that the television remote did not seem to work at all. I did not intend to use the tv (was turned on when I arrived), so it was not a problem for me, but perhaps it can be an issue for others.

I like proximity to the gay village and the public transportation at the corner of the street. My room was very clean but need a little bit of restauration but for the price it is good. I will come back at my next trip to Toronto. I want to say yhat the place is very calm ...

I may had the cheaper room of the place (8) ,,, decoration needs a warm up ... and the TV needs to be repair ... The black screen is open all night long even when you close it with the remote control

It is a bit noisy inside the house because you can here almost everything in the old building. we stayed at ground floor and could not only hear footsteps upstairs but also talking from the breakfast room next door. If you want to sleep a bit in the late morning then bring earplugs! Or get up early and enjoy the area :-)
