Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Aurora

Everything was excellent. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the facilities were very clean. The added bonus was the Pool/Hot Tub and slide. The water was very warm, and even though it was outside operation hours/schedule for the slide the staff was amazing and made an exception for all the kids to turn it on so that they could have fun (March break and all) would recommend to anyone.

If I had to nit pick about the stay it was, they ran out of cream for the coffee in the morning (delivery was that afternoon we left)

The breakfast was mediocre and the flow was not good. The other guests were very noisy - kids running up and down the halls was very annoying. The fact that the rooms weren't cleaned at all in our 7 day stay. I was advised at check in that due to COVID the rooms would not be cleaned daily but I was not told they would not be cleaned at all. I feel like the cost should have reflected that and it did not. Also there is very little space to put your clothes when you unpack only 2 drawers and small closet. No where to put you luggage.

Very clean and spacious. The front desk clerk was very friendly and lovely. Extremely impressed with the room and everything provided. It was also close to restaurants and stores. The room was more affordable than others in the Aurora and Markham area, and was the nicest I have stayed in so far (I travel to Richmond Hill regularly). High ceilings and comfortable, with a large tv.

The included breakfast ended at 9 on a Saturday. After traveling all day the day before, I chose to sleep a bit longer. They really should have it go until at least 9:30 or 10 on weekends when people want to sleep in a bit. The walls are thin. I couldn't hear conversations or anything like that, but you can hear people moving around, if you are sensitive to that. I wear ear plugs to sleep normally, so it did not disturb my sleep at all, but I am not sure if it would be noticeable if I hadn't had ear plugs in. I was also by an exit door on the main floor, so that likely increased the noise by my room. Still would stay there again, as it didn't bother me, but something for others to be aware of.

The hotel in general met my expectations. I would give thanks separately receptionists Team - they are the best! The location is ideal - not far from the good road (hwy 404) but in picturesque and quite place. The hotel has a swimming pool and even a water slide.

The total price could be slightly lower :)

I’ve booked two rooms and this is my second stay,I was disappointed for the fact the rooms were not refreshed despite I asked for it, although this is something that should be common without being asked for, otherwise what is the difference between a hotel and a dormitory !, Don’t know what’s the reason for not doing it, if it’s Covid then it’s ridiculous, corporate use Covid as a pretext cut expenses and increase profits!

Great location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby as well as the highway.

Elevators were very busy. It made it hard for us as we had our dog and did not want to impose ourselves with other guests. Waiting for the elevator during « rush hours » took forever. Hotel was very busy so we had to take the last parking spot.

Breakfast was disappointing No fruits Nothing out for oatmeal- needed to ask at 9 am so nothing since 6 am ? A lot of empty space, jars, drawers No bowl No muffin, bagel, no honey, Pool super busy Some classes going on Try 3 times then give up For 250$/ nights I was expecting better missing the basic

Breakfast was very good. I would only make one suggestion. There was no decaffeinated coffee at breakfast or in the room. May I suggest if you don't want to make decaffeinated coffee at breakfast it would be nice if there was some in the room. Or you can leave it out of the room and make a pot with breakfast.

Just as above. There was no decaffeinated coffee. My husband and I both have heart conditions and can not have caffeine.

The location was great, best price in the area, the lobby and breakfast area is fun and inviting. The water slide makes the hotel unique!

The rooms were very clean and nice, just a little smaller than I would like. The pool, hot tub and water slide area is awesome, but we had to keep bugging for towels every time.

Hotel was nice and clean. Had a nice pool and hot tub. Staff were friendly. I liked that the breakfast included was served until 9am. Lots of restaurants near by too!

There was a kids hockey team staying the night with tons of kids running the halls until late one night. Not that it's the hotel's responsibility more than the parents but it was a bit annoying!
