The room was very nice and very clean. Staff allowed us to check in early and were very nice and hospitable. The bed was not as comfortable as I'd hoped, but not terrible. A little sore neck the next morning, but the breakfast they served more than made up for that. The coffee was excellent and being vegetarian, I really appreciated the eggs without meat on the second day. The potatoes were fabulous as well as real bakery bread to toast. Overall an amazing experience and the rate for our room was excellent. Right by the ferry harbor and the Government building, it was excellent.

The beds were a little squishy and uncomfortable as were the pillows.

Loved everything! Impeccably clean room. I got upgraded to a Suite because of my Loyalty program. Amazing room, enormous in size and I could see the parliament building from the balconies!!! Kitchenette very useful! Bathroom beautiful and clean. Very quiet room. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the dining room THOROUGHLY!! Eggs, ham, breakfast potatoes, toast, jams, peanut butter, butter, waffles, muffins, cinnamon buns, fruit, yogurt, bagels, juices, coffees, teas, AMAZING!! Very attentive staff looking after the buffet area and keeping it clean. Location is unbeatable. Right by the parliament and the harbour. Loved our morning walk. Coffee in the room was good too (Keurig machine). Free parking yay! Highly Recommended!!!

The hotel could not be better situated! In the heart of Victoria Harbour; 15 min walk from Beacon Hill Park; 15 min walk from Fisherman’s Wharf; 5 minute walk from Royal BC Museum; right off the Victoria Harbour; 20 minute walk to Chinatown and Fan Tan Alley; 10 minute walk to old Victoria and Bastion Square. The location is excellent and you’re not paying over $500/night. The rooms are dated….BUT VERY CLEAN, which is more important to me. The Breakfast is unbeatable. Waffles that did not have a bad aftertaste, all kinds of bread and gourmet muffins. Hot eggs bacon and sausages and potatoes plus a wide variety of cereals and gourmet coffees. It was a breakfast bar that I did not expect from here. The front desk is super friendly and responsive. I found them to be very helpful in giving me tips to plan tue day for my family. I highly recommend this hotel. Not fancy, but a very comfortable and clean stay.

Nothing…just a bit dated. But that’s neither here nor there.

Value for money - the room and our entire stay at Embassy Inn was 100% thumbs up! it actually exceeded my expectation. We stayed for 2 nights, and all ameneties are excellent. We enjoyed the buffet hot breakfast; you actually save more including the breakfast option when you book in the hotel. It's worth it, trust me. Parking is free, which is amazing especially if you'll be staying in Victoria for couple of days, since Embassy Inn is very accesible to all the touristy destination along Downtown Vancouver. lastly, I appreciate that the receptionist allowed us to check-in earlier than 3pm, also when I asked if we can check-out at noon instead of the usual 11am,they were very nice and allowed us to. Our room and beds are well kept; the lobby and all other areas are very clean and tidy.

nothing.

1. The room is very spacious. We booked a 1 BHK suit and it was very spacious, though the kitchen could be equipped with little more kitchenware. The size and layout of the room helped our family a lot, with every one getting space to play and yet be together. 2. The breakfast was good. Lots of option, both hot and cold and it was amply full even in the last minute. 3. The best part of this hotel is its location. You can walk to almost all the attractions in Victoria from here. We had kids (11 and 5) and the way we planned was to go out during the day, have fun, come back post lunch, take some rest and again walk out. The kids enjoyed walking and never complained. We check marked almost every attraction walking from this place ( Avg walking per-day ~5 miles). 4. Parking: There is ample free parking at the hotel. this was an added bonus, as it saves you 100s from parking fees both at hotels and tourists places..

Well, None of these things were a surprise to me as I knew it at the time of booking, but few things to know: 1. The Hotel does not has a swimming pool, gym or recreation room ( there is a small selection of puzzles , that's it). So if you are going for shorter or wet days, please know this. Though our kids looks forward to pool or game room, since we spent enough time out, walking they did not complain about it. 2. The kitchen could be updated with a bit more kitchenware, glasses and cups. We had to wash cups even for single time use. 3. This is more of a note: The basement parking is 6.6' or 2 meters high. this will fit most of the cars, but if you have a carrier fitted on top, then you have to park out (which is bit limited).

Really loved the central location of the hotel, most things we needed were just a short walk away. Parking was great, I cannot think of parking in such a size of city and not have to pay. Very handy for restaurants we had used on a previous visit to Victoria, we recommend the Heron Rock Cafe, great food and pretty reasonable prices. Also liked the way in which we were able to book a further 3 nights at the hotel after we found that Highway 4 was closed during time we were there. Breakfast was good too.

Nothing stands out here.

I’ve stayed many times at the Embassy since the 1980s, as it is in an excellent location near the harbour & downtown. The hotel restaurant was well known for its great Sunday brunch. A few years ago renovations were made & the restaurant was replaced by a breakfast room. We’ve found this to be a very good addition, as the free daily breakfast is an attractive option & there are many good restaurants near by for other meal choices. For a longer stay, we like having a kitchen in our suite as there are grocery stores in close walking distance.

There was nothing of concern.

I was a little sad when I first checked in, first impressions and all but….Absolutely everything about this hotel was perfect. The building looks aged but don’t let that put you off. It was spotlessly clean, probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The breakfast which was included was fabulous, the staff from reception all the way through the hotel where lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. We were a family of 5 so this hotel ticked all the boxes for us. I would definitely return

The property is in a lovely part of Victoria, close to the Inner Harbour, right next to the beautiful Legislature Buildings. Everything is very clean and well maintained, the breakfast room is generous and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The chef was standing by at all times to ensure that everything was hot and fresh. There was a good variety of nice fresh food, and plenty of tea and coffee. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Free parking is a big bonus in downtown Victoria, with your choice of outside or underground, and a good breakfast now adds a lot of value to the price of a room.

We had booked and paid for another hotel months in advance at another hotel in Victoria. When we arrived it was an absolute nightmare and so I called the Embassy Inn as I saw they had a couple of rooms available It was about $300 more than our original booking but we decided to go for it because our interaction with the Embassy front desk over the phone was so lovely. We were thrilled with our choice, yes as some of the other travellers have noted the hotel is dated, but it's also impeccably clean. I have stayed at luxury hotels and the consistency and cleaning weren't as great as the team at the Embassy. They should be commended. The rate also included parking right downtown Victoria (the awful hotel we had originally booked was in an awkward location outside of downtown and wanted $10 a day). The rate also included breakfast every single day and it wasn't just a plain continental, it offered wonderful variety and the team including the chef were so attentive and wonderful. We were greeted every morning warmly, especially by the chef who is a real treasure. I hope the Embassy Inn understands how valuable and impressive their staff are. I wish they would make the tip jar in the breakfast area more noticeable as we were the only ones tipping each day and they deserve SO MUCH more than that for the effort they are putting in.

My only complaint is that all the hotels everywhere are gouging tourists right now which post pandemic is really sad to see. It would be nice if the rate was a bit more reasonable.
