Pros: Size of the rooms. Decor & colours. Location. Price. Ease of parking. It is significantly cheaper than other downtown hotels, but I wish La Soleil would raise its prices a bit to provide funds for a few improvements and a superior guest experience. It's quite a lovely hotel, but it seems to be running in neutral.

Front desk experience could be better. The bathrooms are dated and towels could be better quality. There are maintenance and furnishings issues that should be addressed.

We loved everything about this beautiful hotel . Everyone was so kind and helpful. We had breakfast in the restaurant- absolutely amazing . We got the French toast and Classic Breakfast. The ONLY reason I gave it a 9 , was due to the concierge was always MIA- we were from out of the country , we needed help to get the most out of our two day stay . We were told he was at lunch , then would be only 10 min , then stuck in traffic . The other staff members tried to the best of their ability to help us -and they did but very disappointed the person that was supposed to be helping us was never available. 🖤

Being marketed as an executive suite, it did pull through, with a comfortable lounge/tv room separate from the bedroom. The bedroom is a little small for USA/canada standards but comfortable enough, for a short stay. I enjoyed using the toilet - which was spacious and brightly lit, however I did notice mold stains between the tiles. Location is pretty good in downtown vancouver, a short walk away from the metro, connecting directly to the airport.

The heating was really noisy, for one. And I was surprised to find that there was no mini-fridge in the room (or perhaps there was, but the cabinet below the coffee machine was locked and inaccessible). I also did not like the fact that the toilet door had no handles, and a very poor flimsy lock that could not even be secured. Breakfast was good but requires a breakfast coupon - clearly stating its validity for one breakfast item and one drink ONLY. I don't eat a heavy breakfast so personally it was not an issue for me, but I found it pretty strange for a 4-star "luxury boutique" hotel to limit their patrons as such. My father was not very pleased to realise that he couldn't get his usual morning coffee and orange juice.

The location was good . Close to shopping and a short walk to Canada Place and Coal Harbour for a gorgeous walk. The room was well furnished and clean and very quiet. The staff were very helpful when we asked for items they came immediately. Very good service. Wonderful shower, could of stayed there all day!

The parking situation is a bit of a gong show You access it through a narrow alley on the side of the building but instructions were not clear to us and we ended up driving round the block 4 times. Rooms are not as large as the photos show, more like one large room chopped up to give you a living room area with a sofa bed , end tables and TV with cabinet. Lovely but It's a bit tight!

Location was excellent, walking distance to Canada place, Chinatown town, gastown, etc. The hotel gives free access to next door YMCA gym and pool. Our highlight is that they allowed us to checkin early by giving the available room which is an upgraded Suite level, that was super nice as we were so tired from our 5 hr flight from Toronto. Bed and pillows so comfy. The TV has many channels. We asked for coffee pods refill and extra shampoo/soap/conditioners, they gave us with no issue. The French restaurant also very good and high quality, we ate after we checked out on last day, and they still allow us to get the 15% discount - sweet!

The heater is a bit loud, but we can still sleep right through it.

We had a great stay at Le Soleil, and would return if travelling to Vancouver. The staff, from reception to concierge and cleaning, were all so accommodating and wonderful. The doormen were welcoming and the reception/concierge were very helpful and attuned to our needs. Specifically, they accommodated us despite arriving a bit earlier than expected, so we are very thankful for their help. The location was prime in Vancouver and accessible to downtown and other places. The facilities were enjoyable and comfortable. Our stay was incredibly great and we would return in the future.

Nothing.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I like that it’s a smaller hotel so easy to have car valet and check in/out. The restaurant was amazing and open until 10pm. The hotel is close to everything- short walk to the marina where the boats and sea planes are and many restaurants and attractions. It felt a good safe location as well as I travelled with my 2 kids alone. The beds were super comfy! The hotel has an old school glamour vibe and is older but still lovely and clean rooms and good beds! It was good value for money. Close to all the shopping too!

No mini bar/snack options but you could order Uber eats to hotel easily. If you arrived late this would be an option at least. I’d suggest taking a few drinks for mini bar.

Great location located in Vancouver city center within walking distance to many upscale retail and restaurant choices. Hotel is close to two Skytrain stations (Burrard and Van city center). Walking distance to Canada Place and waterfront. Capilano Suspension bridge free shuttle is available across from Burrard station.Breakfast package at Aloutte restaurant was delicious, had many options, and was fulling. Great for evening drinks too! Definitely recommend staying here if it is your first time visiting the city or you prefer staying in the downtown area.

The room had a fair bit of space to walk around the bed, entrance area, etc. I also liked that there was indeed an ironing board and an iron. The bed was very comfortable!

It seemed as if the carpets hadn't been shampooed in a long time. I wish I had brought some slippers to wear. The toilet was loud when it flushed and the water temperature in the shower did change from warm to cold once. In the write-up it said, there was a mini fridge in each room. There was not one in my mine. This was disappointing as I wanted to buy fresh fruit from Granville Island, to take home.
