Century Plaza Hotel

The room was a studio suite and worked out perfect for our family. We actually extended our stay and were here for a total of 4 nights. We had great views (28th Floor) room was quite (Note: Bit of noise as beside a hospital but nothing major). Location is perfect for being downtown. Close to Stanley Park, Transit, parks, Movie theater and restaurants. Great place good value.

Just being nit picky but the rooms and elevator are dated a bit but they are clean and was nice place to stay. You are right by a hospital, so can be loud and you get a lot of city traffic when you leave (Homeless, people walking etc.) But overall a great location.

- the second unit - the size was wonderful and I love the décor - the staff was excellent! When I left my phone and wallet, they went out of their way to get it back to me in Montréal - the pool was great - the laundry facilities were nice except the change machine and soap dispense did not work at all - the machines worked very well at a very good price - the main restaurant - food and staff were amazing!!!

-The bed was great; however, the pillows were too soft. -The A/C unit in the first room was not working and the second unit which was renovated was undersized for the space. It was not comfortable for me. - the pool opening time was too late for me - there was no iron and ironing board in the second unit. - I did not like or found convenient the open air closet. It is not good for dresses. - I asked for the room not to be cleaning but they came in and moved a few things

We really appreciated the space we had in our room, in which we spent five nights. This alone - plus the air conditioning - accounts for my overall score of 8.

There appears to be little quality control in this hotel. The WC did not flush when we entered the room. Indeed, it could not because a plastic lever arm was broken inside. This took a while to sort out. Next morning we noticed there was no cold water coming out of the tap in the kitchenette; we informed the front desk who said they would get it fixed; late afternoon we returned to the room and there was still no water; I phoned the front desk and they told me they had not been able to mend it and offered us another room, which we declined; next day there was cold water again but the fridge had stopped working. I'll stop there.

I chose the Century Plaza because of its central location. The Hop On bus stopped right in front to tour Vancouver and a Covid testing clinic that I needed before cruising was right next door. The room was bigger than I expected for a city hotel. The Century Plaza was a good choice.

Nothing

Nice room, we had a complete kitchen with basic utensils. We asked at the reception for other utensils and they brought it to the room right away. The bed was very comfortable and the sizes of the room was good for 2 people. The green initiative that they have regarding bedding and towels is great! And the staff is friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel is located in a central location for visiting downtown Vancouver. Close to buses and the subway(skytrain).

It would be nice to improve the cleaning under the bed and in the kitchen utensils, but in general the room and bathroom were very clean.

The right spot for everything! We could walk with the kids to a great Malaysian restaurant or eat at a high end restaurant on the premises. Everything is into public transportation way, and we even walk places (the Steam Clock, the beach park - a bit of an walk, but cool place!) The room was clean, neat and yes, the bed! We were on the 8th floor so my husband and I will contest on FB about the pictures of sunrise we took. The kids were happy there was an icecream place downstairs. We probably didn’t go to all places we could… but this is a great start. Did I mention the staff? Yes, they were great. And how can I forget the swimming pool. It is somewhat underground, but that makes it awesome no matter the weather, especially if you have young ones to wear out:)

LOCATION. STAFF. RESTAURANT ON PREMISES. COFFEE, and I mean GOOD COFFEE! POOL. Good vibe all around. Room clean, large, with view, and comfy bed. Did I forget something? The SUNRISE!

Very central and even if arriving late at night the walk from Vancouver City Center Metro is very safe. Just walk along West Georgia Street two blocks then take a left when you get to Burrard Street.

The location was fantastic. Short walk to skytrain. Lots of diverse restaurants on Davie street. If shopping is your thing, Robson and Grandville are right there. The room was clean and spacious. Loved having a kitchen to keep some things in the fridge.

It is beside the hospital emergency entrance, so the sirens could be loud at times and keep you up depending on what floor your were. I loved that the windows opened to get fresh air, but on windy nights, they rattled which made it hard to sleep.

Location was excellent - right on Burrard St, close to a big variety of eating places on Davis St and Robson St, and it was about a 10 minute walk from a subway station that had a direct line from & to the airport. My room was very spacious and comfortable, and also remarkably quiet (as it was on a high floor), and had a fridge and a microwave and an excellent coffee maker. The wifi was excellent too.

Two small things: 1) The remote control for the TV didn't work well unless right up close to the TV, and 2) the coffee maker wasn't so good for getting hot water for making tea.
