how fun and friendly it was for families. There are lots of cool things on the property to. The staff were super relaxed, welcoming and caring. We loved the ping pong table. I was most impressed by the acknowledgement of the traditional territory of the Nuu Chah Nulth people. Instead of offering a bible in the room, they had a beautiful book called ?iisaaak in the Garden. It tells the true history of the area. So beautiful to experience a hotel of this size do that. A true act of reconciliation. The staff were real, down to earth and kind. This has been the most memorable stay in a hotel I have ever had. Hats off and hands held high for the Zed Hotel in Tofino!

We absolutely loved everything about the property. What a beautiful retreat. We can’t say enough about what a great stay we had. We especially loved the whirlpool and sauna nestled in the forest, but the absolute best part was the staff. They made us feel like part of the family from day one. From the smiling faces of the restaurant staff to off duty staffers, Jacob and Dan, who help me navigate the sauna. An extra special thanks to reception staff Amanda and Mak who went out of their way everyday to help us have the best stay possible. We will DEFINITELY be back!

The Roar was fantastic. The mussels and clam dish was fabulous. The breakfast nook was great. Really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and the coffee. My husband was looking for more vegetarian options for breakfast, like avocado toast or a veggie biscuit combo. We both loved the lounge area and all the throw back items from the 70's. The location was perfect. The staff was very pleasant, patient, and kind and full of great information. Your staff is the best!!!

Elevator was broken. Was not a problem except when we arrived having to carry our luggage and other stuff up the stairs.

The staff was amazing! From the first greeting as I checked in with my small dog, until the last goodbye when the young man handed me my receipt. I loved that Sparky, my dog, was welcome in the 'sunken living room' lobby bar. It was so delightful to have him with me while I enjoyed a glass of wine and a light snack. I highly recommend Hotel Zed in Tofino.

A waterfront location would have added to the experience, but I appreciate that waterfront property in Tofino is expensive and limited in availability. Although there is a nice walking pathway leading to the bird sanctuary on the estuary.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Emma. The room was good, loved the shower! The mattress was comfortable (soft). The restaurant food was exceptionally good! The chef is awesome. The staff were excellent, especially Cymarah and Colton! The hot tub and sauna were great! The mud flats were amazing - we saw a bear! Parking was great! I am disabled and accessibility was great! We plan to return! Hope you have a great season.

Need a shelf in the shower for my wife's many lotions and potions, but this is minor.

Great room that was clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Unique property with games, trails, and a sauna and hot tub that are well maintained. The ability to access Netflix, prime and other subscription services was also very nice. Overall, really great experience.

Given that there are typically two people staying in a king sized suite, a second chair in the sitting area would be great. It should also be clear on the website that the restaurant is not open for breakfast, lunch or apres surf in September. It is possible to order a breakfast sandwich or pastry from the Roar Cafe, but a sit down meal in the restaurant is not possible.

Good location and very friendly staff! Laundry machine is really a bonus. We had great 2 days at the hotel.

Location. Fun furniture and accessories, wall hangings, needle point: nostalgic feel. had an excellent restaurant.Amazing staff! Loved them all!

Room a bit cramped. Not enough shelving to take clothes out of suitcases. No drawers. Had to open suitcase just to get fresh underwear and clothes. No grab bars in shower! Sauna was cold! Guests had to turn it on. Could not find the dial to turn it on because it was DARK in the sauna!! No lights! Extremely dangerous for seniors with chronic illnesses! I have Parkinson’s which affects my balance. The darkness disoriented me and I began to fall! I had really looked forward to the comforting heat of the sauna because I have stiffness and pain from my illnesses and from the long car ride from Prince George, BC.

What an awesome place! it has a very cool seventies vibe, with a lot of great details from the decade including a mini disco and psychic den. Rooms are very comfortable with the best bathroom design I've seen ever and I travel a lot. The location is pretty good, a short walk from the nearest beach. I think we will be back.

Restaurant: service is excellent (special shoutout to Mike) but the food is not that great (too overambitious with poor execution, to the point of unedible, avoid salmon, go for chicken instead). Be prepared to wait, we had reservations for 7.15 pm, and the main course was served at 9.30 pm.

I stayed here with my wife for 5 nights in mid-June. Very clean, new and comfy except for the pillows. We found them too hard and heavy. Well thought and convenient lay out/services. Well suited for travelers with kids. Thumb up for the free laundry. Location is not the best as of proximity to the highway and quite a distance to downtown. You can make it on your feet, but it will be a long walk. Definitely check out they restaurant as it was the best in town including fancy places on the shoreline we managed to book for dinner.
