- Top price for a hotel in the center of Sofia - Located in a beautiful old house with history - The location is top notch, very close to all major points of interest and with many good restaurants and bars in proximity - Very nice and helpful staff - Recommended for short unpretentious stays; best when you are on your own

- The rooms are in a need of renovation, the interior and the amenities are worn out. There is a sewage smell in the bathroom as well. - The cleanliness can also be improved - The doors seem to be very thin; one can hear everything in the hallway and that takes away the feeling of privacy

Location was great about 5 minutes from a metro station and 1 minute from a Lidl, 10-15 minute walk into the central square. Staff were friendly, room was spacious and had a big desk, big bed, aircon, and nice shower. It was very easy and I faced no problems. The wifi was fast and reliable.

There was no plug immediately by the bed, but this isn't a big deal.

The hotel is located in the center of Sofia, 5 minutes (by foot) away from the main pedestrian street with all the restaurants and souvenir shops. It's also quite close to a couple of subway stations. There is actually a couple of very nice and authentic restaurants next door and around the corner. The hotel is supposed to be in a historic house, but you cannot really say it when inside. There is a 24/7 reception with hot water (tea / coffee) available for free and a book shelf. Upper floors are accessible by elevator. My room was quite spacious, with all the necessary furniture (table, chair, etc.) and appliances (hair dryer, TV). Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi signal was perfectly strong.

The bed was too soft to my taste. Sanitary fittings in the bathroom were rather old; the toilet seat was cracked and the doors of the shower cabin were not watertight - so hello, puddle on the floor! Sound insulation was not perfect - I could hear very well how other guests were walking past my door and talking.

Late check-in (around 1.00 am), friendly and without any problem. Also the private parking, just around the corner is convenient. And of course, the fact you are straight in the lively center.

Annoying behavior from the parking guy, who wanted me to bring the car keys so that he could move around the car. While, in the evening his colleagues had clearly shown me a place, he called the reception desk at 8.15 in the morning to let me walk over. Of course, I was still sleeping; I had turned in at around 2.00 am! Not the fault of the hotel, yet an unpleasant experience...

great staff, great location, rooms are clean & warm

The location was fantastic, and the restaurant next door was a wonderful option. Downtown, central, and easy. Also, a 24-hour reception is a nice bonus. The staff were very flexible.

The bathroom had a lot of black spots in the grouting, the shower knob didn't work and fell off, meaning I could only use one of the three shower modes. The toilet seat was loose and kept sliding off, and the hairdryer wall mount broke.

Great location near Sofia attractions, metro stations and bars, restaurants and cafés. Central but quiet. The staff are friendly and always available. I asked for extra bedding which was provided immediately. The room was a little dated but was clean, warm and comfortable. The private bathroom was well equipped and very clean. Wifi was strong and reliable. Overall a great value hotel in a very convenient location.

The room was really clean. The staff were friendly, well educated, interested in talking and learning from you (but not intrusive) and the location was excellent. Many great hotels nearby and the owner also runs an exceptional dining in the dark concept restaurant on the same property. They don't even try to push that and I was so lucky I managed to eat there because of a cancellation. You should not miss that exceptional opportunity to dine there. This was once the home of a writer and there are books for reading. This is the place for an educated, aware and cultured traveler. It is excellent value for what it offers.

Nothing really, I thought everything was top notch. Maybe the internet could have been a bit better but it wasn't bad either. It is not spanking new and flashy and the decor is old school but I thought that was part of the charm.

We liked the closeness of this hotel to historical sites and parks in Sofia. It was convenient to restaurants and shopping. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We even booked our last two nights here at the end of our time in Bulgaria.

We wish that when it advertises parking, that it was more clear that it is for paid parking around the block.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was really kind and friendly, the room was tide and large enough for our needs. The location close to many city attractions and we walked to every place we wanted to visit. **We couldn't park on the street in front of the hotel (really expensive), but a parking place is neaby. The payment for the parking is only with cash in leva. Make sure you have some leva with you ( otherwise there is an atm close by on the main street).
