Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Rio de Janeiro was truly remarkable, and there were several aspects that I particularly enjoyed. Firstly, the personalized service left a lasting impression on me - the staff's attention to detail and their genuine warmth made me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. Additionally, the breathtaking views from my room, overlooking the picturesque Rio de Janeiro coastline, were a daily source of delight. The culinary experiences at the hotel's restaurants were exceptional, and the spa treatments provided a perfect way to relax and rejuvenate. What I liked most, though, was the overall sense of luxury and comfort that enveloped me during my stay, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

I'm delighted to say that there was absolutely nothing I didn't like about my stay at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Rio de Janeiro. From the exceptional service to the breathtaking views, the culinary delights, and the overall sense of luxury and comfort, my experience was flawless. The hotel exceeded all my expectations, leaving me with nothing but fond memories and a strong desire to return for another exceptional stay.

The breakfast is a vast in choices. Staff will cater to specifics such as how you want your eggs. I think though less salty and fatty options should be provided. Saying that the quality of the food is very high. The breakfast room is also a fast and stylish area with various food stations catering for the same food. The Room is well maintained and comfortable with a really nice smell. The view... my view from the 5th floor facing the Atlantic oceans was wonderful! I nice balcony also! I will miss it! Also behind the hotel is a large lagoon ... its hard to imagine this hotel is in the city! Special thanks to Filipe from front desk for all the help on my stay and Luis Barbosa & concierge for getting my work documents scanned. Last but not least a special thanks for the room service staff for the good and speedy work. The big plus of this Hotel is its staff and the positive, professional and proactive attitude. I know the 5 star hotels in Rio and this is the best choice by far!

The checkin desk gets very busy. Perhaps at times they could use more staff for check ins.

5 star quality room, facilities, quiet for a rest. Loved the breakfast buffet, which was so big almost overwhelming. Food overall wasn’t bad.

I was disappointed that the pool was closed, I wish they would have offered me a discount as I was looking forward to both swimming in the morning and lounging by the pool away from children. But I went to the beach and it was alright

The option to upgrade my staying for a room at Club Level which provided access to Grande club for breakfast, tea and drinks. The structure at beach was great with beach chairs and sun shades. Breakfast was superb with a wonderful view and the room was large and modern. Also there is a whatsapp to ask for any needs you may have and they attend fast

Everything was great

The entire experience at the Grand Hyatt hotel was incredible and exceeded all of my expectations. It felt that we have chosen the best room with the best view (if you're looking for an unforgettable time in Rio - definitely choose the Ocean Lagoon Suite - worth the price). When it comes to food, again our expectations were exceeded as the hotel offers a wide range of choices from exotic fruits and a large table of pastries to personalized breakfast cooked taking into account your preference. The hotel was huge, very modern, and offered lots of activities, the staff was incredibly helpful and were available to support at any time. In general, I haven't stayed at a better hotel and would recommend this place to everyone!

I couldn't name anything as everything was just perfect.

The hotel is almost retreat far from busy downtown Rio and by a very nice beach. Service is overall outstanding and everyone focus on making you feel special.

It needs some more intensive maintenance inside and out . I stayed there 3 years ago and the signs of deterioration are obvious. I would avoid July /Aug since it’s school break and it get a bit overcrowded by noisy guests.

Breakfast was great. Loved my room and the access to the VIP lounge definitely came in handy. The views are breathtaking & the spa was just what i needed. The concierge Fernanda was extremely helpful. She suggested great nightlife, corrected any mistakes and always laughed and had a great big smile. Fernanda made a very unexpectedly rainy trip enjoyable as best as she could booking suiitable tours and giving advice about the dos and don'ts in Rio by yourself.

The night lacked activities. I suggest a samba class or show be added to the itinerary. Especially since the area is a bit far away from the typical night scenes of downtown.
