Location was good, staff friendly and we have got two interconnecting twin rooms which was a very nice surprise and it's not very common. There's public parking nearby. Lots of cafes/restaurants around and it's only a 10-min pleasant walk across old town to Market Square. We found better restaurants are nearer the

Room was a bit dark even with all lights turned on, reading a book was a challenge. On the other hand lack of light/not seeing everything was probably a blessing as the hotel could do with some renovation (carpets especially were in bad shape). Tap in the bathroom was stiff/hard to operate, no separate shower, shower in bath and shower curtain not very pleasing.

The rooms were big, our room had a massive super king bed and our son and his friend both had double beds in their room, we were expecting single beds so it was a nice surprise. It was also good that we had adjoining rooms that had a door on both side that you could open thris making it like one huge room. The hotel is an old monastery and is really nice. The location is great, you step out onto the square and everything is right there, and it's a pleasant walk into the main part of town. We didn't opt to have breakfast but the restaurant did look nice. The bathrooms in the rooms were clean and all the towels and toiletries were supplied. There is a fridge in the room that you can use to put your own drinks in. It wasn't noisy at all considering the location. Staff were very friendly and happy to help

The hotel was lovely - well located just on the edge of the city centre - 30 seconds walk from the bus station and 10 mins walk from the train station. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful- especially Nasreen & Moses. The rooms themselves were very nice - the bed was a bit springy - like sleeping on a trampoline, but the pillow was great.

The only real issue was that there was an extractor fan somewhere near the room that was very loud - it sounded like a helicopter! It was surprising that the bar only opens Fridays and Saturdays- I would have liked to have had a few drinks, but had to settle for taking two bottles to my room - at €6 for a 330ml bottle, it was very expensive! Plug sockets & USB sockets next to the bed would be nice too.

The breakfast was delicious, the choice of food and drinks was very big. The staff was friendly and the room was big and clean. The beds were very big and comfortable! The hotel itself had very nice atmosphere and decorations and a nice lobby.

I would prefer to have a shower instead of a bathtub: it isn't very higienic to use them in a hotel but that's only my opinion. Also, it was very hard to open the room with the card, despite having checked the cards in the reception:it seemed like our door was broken and got stuck so we had a lot of trouble with getting in. Other than that, everything was great.

The hotel was just on the fringe of the old town , a mere 8 minute walk to the Market Square . Quiet location yet near to everything. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; in particular Amandine , who really is the crown jewel of hotel receptionists. So professional, so polite and superb at her job. NH Hotels should hold onto her tightly with both hands as she is a huge asset to their management team . We would definitely stay here again when visiting Bruges .

Loved the hotel was a great location and travelled by car via eurotunnel. The parking is very close in a secure location. The 1st day we decided on not doing breakfast at hotel as we ventured out but in hindsight and after having on the 2nd day we certainly made a mistake. The choice is unbelievable and possibly the best choice of breakfast I’ve ever had, from a cooked / cold to making waffles. The room was very large and spacious and bathroom clean. The bar was great too !

Whatever you do wait to be served in the bar. Probably our mistake as a culture thing.

The hotel building is a lovely heritage building and the location is excellent. It is in a quiet area with bars and restaurants within a short walk. The Markt Square is a pleasant walk away through characterful streets passing churches and the hospital museum on the way. Having said all of that the best thing about the hotel is undoubtedly the staff. We were made to feel at home instantly by the wonderful woman in reception and her bar manager husband. I will definitely be back.

We liked the location very close to shopping, xmas markets, resturants and bars. The hotel bar was cosy and the bar manager was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a highlight and one of the best breakfasts I have seen at a large hotel chain.

I found a disused tissue packet under the bed when we pushed them together. I didn't feel this warranted much of a complaint. The room temperature remained stable at 20 degrees but did not warm up higher even when the thermostat was set to high. The decor and rooms were dated but fitting for the location.

Location of hotel was ideal, a short walk from the train station, and bus terminal opposite for any days that you venture out. Spacious room at the back of the hotel which was lovely and quiet. Staff were exceptional, they were always pleasant and very helpful with any questions we had. Excellent buffet breakfast, with any amount of choice from the hot and cold selection, please try the waffles, you make them yourself and they are delicious. Bar is only open two nights per week, but a nice relaxing room to enjoy a drink, there is also a fab garden at the rear of the hotel where we enjoyed a beer, which we bought from the snack bar in reception. Would love to return as we had such a great week.

There wasn't anything we didn't like about the hotel. Just a couple of suggestions, the hand wash dispenser in the bathroom is attached to the wall above the toilet cistern which isn't ideal and would be more convenient if it was located beside the hand basin. It would also be nice to have the bar open more than two nights per week, it's a great place to relax, unwind and meet other guests.

Great Location - the main car park is in the square outside, and it's a nice walk into town. Good breakfast, especially the waffle maker! The bar looked nice, though we didn't use it. NH is a reliable brand wherever you go, and the staff were friendly.

The room we had was perfectly nice, just in a remote part of the building above the conference rooms, which weren't in use. Just a bit eerie.
