Hotel Spiess & Spiess

The location is amazing, right next to the metro U3. Very clean and tidy, the stuff was helpful during the day. During the night you need to find the room by yourself and open with codes if you don't have the keys yet. The room was very clean and peaceful, beautiful garden level. But not much privacy to chill outside in the balcony.

We was on the garden level room, right in the entrance of the building, what limit some privacy and silence. The "sofa" bed is just a couch bed. Not comfortable for adult and we couldn't use it tbh. The toilet was with sharp smell of cigarettes that came from the vent most of the time. No coffee or tea service in the room, because of covid, so you need to prepare yourself or ask in the lobby.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Upon our request the hotel accepted to keep our luggage before checking in and after checking out because we had a late departure flight. And generally, the staff was eager to help us whenever we had a question. Great location, close to an U bahn station and close to city center. Very quiet neighborhood. Various restaurants at close range. Last but not least, the room, the breakfast lounge and the facilities we had to use as guests were always very clean.

Each time I stay in Spiess&Spiess I'm more then satisfied with room, with perfect location of the hotel, with personnel and even more with breakfast and its quality. Till next visit in Vienna :)

Room was very spacious. Having a balcony was excellent to be able to have that additional outdoor space considering the warm weather and able to have fresh air, etc. A/C worked very well to compensate for the warmer tempertures. Main part of the room was very spacious and had high ceilings and large windows. Bathroom was spacious with a large tub/shower. Breakfast was good quality. Location was 30 minute walk to the Opera House area and to the train station so if you are walkers (which we are), that is good to know in advance. Trams and public transit is excellent in Vienna though so getting around is not difficult.

· Property is clean, and very nice, everything is in top shape, very nice patio. The staff was super helpful, food at breakfast was high quality but not entirely kid friendly. my kids are picky so they didn't have a lot of options there. The location is really 2 minteus walk from the underground, so was VERY convenient to get there and back They have a place where you can fill bottles of water, room has good air conditioning which was really important as it was hot and humid....

The room was nice, quite big, not the biggest we had in Austria (I guess we should expect the rooms in the city would be smaller than in the mountains) The breakfast is not entirely kids friendly, it is more intended to be very high-quality small dishes The rooms are not super accessible so with a stroller and 5 suitcases and 3 kids, getting there and back wasn't super

Very spacious rooms, location close to the center of the city (7-10 minutes by U-bahn, U-bahn station practically 30 seconds away from the entrance); comfortable beds, drinking water (from tap, so available at no cost). Coffee facilities in the lobby, although we have not used them, electric kettle in the room. Located facing a quiet street, we could sleep and rest extremely well. By foot cca 30 min walk to the city center. We had rooftop rooms - so there was no view, but OK for us.

Breakfast was very basic (nothing warm not even scrambled eggs or so), and for a longer stay it tends to become dull. Except soap and towels, no other bathroom amenities....

Good breakfast (basic yet includes all you need). Hotel is very clean and quite. We stayed in junior suite which was in descent size and well equipped. Very good location. close to U and in 5-15 minutes you get to many of Vienna attractions and center. Close to many local coffee shops and grocery stores.

Few stairs with no elevator + need to walk through the internal garden which is nice but cumbersome if you have luggage. The small balcony is shared with another room which is quite awkward when it is occupied. Staff is usually nice and polite but not very helpful and knowledgeable with local questions and not very hospitable

I spent four nights in July in Vienna with my daughter and we had a nice stay at the hotel. The staff was always polite and helpful. Vienna has a very good public transportation system and as the hotel is located right by a subway station it was very easy to get around the city. We never had to take a taxi.The only problem I can mention is that the room we first got had a bad location in the hotel but after two days we got a new and updated room which was really nice. Very good internet! We didn't try breakfast and that is why I can't say anything about it. I would definitely come back another time mainly because of the good location and the nice and clean rooms!

We weren't told that the hotel does not have a 24 hour reception service. We found our room card with our name on it on the reception desk when we arrived to check in at 9 pm and it was a bit scary because someone could have taken it before us. It was fortunately not a problem but we expected an open reception. We booked a standard double room and unfortunately we received the room that was located on the raised ground floor. But as mentioned above we got an updated room after a while.

It was very spacious and it was very clean. Even when the AC broke down it was fixed very quickly. The location is very good, right next to the underground. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were really able to relax after a busy day, the garden in the back was also beautiful. The breakfast was of very good quality, we enjoyed that a lot.

There are a couple of stairs at the entrance of the hotel so it might be difficult for people with reduced mobility, but that's how the building was made.

The room was clean, well proportioned and had good facilities. The small balcony, with its child safe sliding door was an unexpected and very welcome bonus feature. The breakfast was varied and well prepared, albeit scrambled eggs and grapefruit juice would be a welcome addition to the breakfast menu.

Luggage assistance would be nice at the initial stair climb from street level to reception, especially for older guests with larger cases for stays of 1 week or more. Better use could be made of the garden area as an area for guests to relax.
