Hotel Donaustadt Kagran - at Metro U1

Room is clean, no comments. Breakfast is good as expected. Location is nice, 20-30 minute walking distance to Dunau Tower. All the stores and restaurants are close. No complaints.

Very well communicated with U1 and tran, excellent to go anywhere anytime to any part of the city. There is a Spar (mini super market) a few blocks away (in front of subway station). Even there is a contraction besides the hotel is quite and cozy, personnel attention is very good, even not all speak English, everybody body is willing to help! My tips to have a better experience are: ask for double room key card, and keep them separated and away your electronics all the time, if they do not work (because was close your cell phone or something) and you return after 8 pm, you will be lock outside of the entire hotel (they have a number when you can call so be sure, if you are from other country, to be available to make phone calls in Vienna); if your check-in is before 2 pm, arrive at the hotel as early as you can and try to find a maid to help you to keep your luggage, meanwhile, you can visit the city (but be sure to get back before 8 pm! After that time, no one will attend your check-in); same case if your flight departures late and want to do some stuff in your last day, search for a maid (in all the floors) and ask to keep your luggage. My stuff were well kept and safe the two ocassions II asked for this service.

Unfortunately, the attention hours are limited, so do not expect to have conversation at any time or to have a answer really soon. Better, follow my tips

I was surprised to be honest. It's a very basic, no frills hotel, and it could do with a little bit of love. But at the end it was very clean, comfy, a bit too much heating but I could open the window so that wasn't a big issue, and the breakfast was very nice and enough for everyone. So value for money is fantastic. It's also not far away from the metro station, the city centre is easily accessible.

Communication wasn't great but we're humans at the end of the day, and we all makes mistakes. So we shall forgive and not make a big deal out of it. It's basic and maybe because it's so basic it's hard to find stuff that's not good. But that's again the great thing of the hotel. Everything works and is ok.

Location is great! After a long nights' travel and days' touring in Vienna to get to this comfy location was satisfying. Then out to the Wienerstaatsoper for the evening! Just steps away from the subway and 15 minutes away from downtown Vienna to the opera! Price was great for a New Year's Eve in Vienna! Room, bed, shower and bathroom were super. Surroundings are quiet and ideal for early risers' who need to get to the airport. Staff are courteous and informative. Cleanliness and neatness is a top feature here. All in all, I will return here any time! Thank you for a lovely (but brief) stay :-))

There was nothing to complain about :) Hotel has a good location, very close to the metro station from where you can easily get to the center. It was clean and comfortable. There were towels and hairdryer available. We could leave our bags in the hotel when we needed it after check out. The service was very nice and helpful. Breakfast also really good :)

A pity that there was no little fridge or kettle in the room, but at the same time it wasn’t that necessary :)

I stayed in the hotel from 13 to 18th October. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes from the metro station which makes 25 minutes from the center. The staff was friendly and responsive. The working time of the reception (from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M) wasn't a problem. My flight was delayed so I was worried if I would be able to get into the hotel before the reception closes. However I texted the hotel in advance and they left my room card in a deposit box, providing me with instructions and code how to open it. So everything went fine. The breakast was on a buffet and included a variety of foods and drinks such as different types of salami, hams, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, boiled eggs, breads, oat meals, jams and Nutella. For the weekend there served croissants that were very tasty. The drinks were coffee, tea, natural juice etc The room was cleaned daily. The Wi-Fi was with good speed. The best thing about the hotel was the quality-price ratio. It was relatively cheap (for Vienna) and provided me with enought comfort for my stay.

Well... the first night was a little cold. The room didn't have and air-conditioner, so on the next day (when the reception opened) I requested additional blankets. After that the other nights were fine. (Maybe in the summer when is too hot, this is also a problem) I was a little annoyed when the cleaning lady knocked on the door at 8:45 A.M. Isn't it more okay to clean later, maybe after 11? The room was clean, but the siphon in the shower was tightly blocked The trams that pass nearby will be noisy if the window is open at night (for example in the summer). For me this wasn't a problem, but I still heard them through the closed window sometimes.

I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was very close to Kagranar Platz on U1 metro line. Many shops nearby. A very big mall Westfield Donauzentrum is just at the next metro stop Kagran. Very clean well serviced rooms, friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was very good. The only problem I found was that there was no information in the room on how to connect to the hotel wifi. Had a great stay and will consider staying here again. Strongly recommended.

Hotel location is near the metro line. Therefore It was easy to reach. Hotel staff were kind, smiley, helpful, solution-oritented. Room was very very clean. Everyday room was being cleaned.

I understand and respect reception working hours. But especially weekend If you arrive hotel a bit early, you will have to wait till 12.00 in order to check in. Except this everything was awesome. Many thanks to all hotel staff.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, made my extension easy. I liked the location and the toilet being separate from the bathroom. The room was clean and bed properly laid. I enjoyed the breakfast as well.

I did not like the state of the shower head as it was very mouldy and made it difficult for me when taking a shower and in the corners of the shower floor. I even asked one of the cleaners if they have a bleach so I could clean it but she did not seem to understand me. Do not know about the other rooms but hope it gets sorted as I would like to book with this hotel again with my family on my next trip. Overall I liked the place.

Room - the room was quite large enough with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Breakfast - breakfast was a classic for this type of hotel, but quite sufficient, nicely served and varied. What left the biggest impression on me was the cleanliness of the whole room, tables, tablecloths, cutlery, ... and most importantly (for a morning coffee addict like me) coffee of different ages is available in unlimited quantities. Location - the location is great. The hotel is located on a not so busy street. My room was facing the courtyard and I had absolute silence and peace. The hotel is 250 - 300 meters (4 to 5 minutes walk) from the nearest metro station, line U1 metro station Kagraner Platz. The hotel is really cute, with a staff that is absolutely dedicated to the hotel guests. The staff is discreet and unobtrusive but efficient, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. The Donaustadt Kagran Shopping Center is just one stop away, and the U1 line takes you directly to the very center of Vienna. so that in your free time you can easily find places that will fill your free time.

The whole hotel is equipped with central heating, and during my stay it was pleasantly and nice warm (outside temperature was not too high). Unfortunately the hotel does not have air conditioning in the room and I am not sure what it would look like during the summer months (July and August).
