H+ Hotel Salzburg

Walking distance to historical buildings but also central to station and buses. Clean and comfortable room. Staff very polite.

Like most central rail stations, there are some dubious characters that sit around but they left us alone. Fire/Evacuation alarm went off on our first morning at 730am and we had to evacuate but not the hotel fault. Rather the person that hit the fire alarm!

Best location to stay in Salzburg if you arrive and leave by train. It is just right outside the main train station. It is also the best place to take a train for a daytrip to Munich. The main bus station is also just outside where you can take the buses to the old town or to places like Hallstatt. There are 2 supermarkets nearby to buy food and snacks. A starbucks and mcdonalds if thats your thing. Mcdonalds opens quite early at 5:30am which is nice if you are going somewhere real early. Room was spacious enough and bed was just right. Again really great place to stay to come back after a long day of exploring Salzburg and nearby towns/day trips. Bathroom was always clean after returning from a long day. Water pressure in the shower was very very good. They provide everything you need.

A lot of people smoking outside the main train station in the late afternoon and weekends. But this isnt the hotel’s fault. Other than this, this Hotel is super highly recommended!

Bed and blanket was amazing during the night, always woke up energetic and relaxed. Room is big enough and has a ton of storage space. The location is excellent if you use Salzburg as HQ for day travels around the region (Königsee 1h, Werfen 1h, Wolfgangsee 1h, Hallstatt 2h) as a the train station in right next door (windows are soundproofed well as there is barely noise from the train station) . Easy walk to city although 20 mins might be much for some (one way).

There was no fridge in the room. Hence we couldn't buy any snack that may require cooling, that was a big surprise, as there is plenty of room for a fridge. The breakfast could be a bit more varied, each day it was the same. (although the bread was always amazing and there were many options for those at least). The air conditioner is automatic and turns on by itself, even at 7 in the morning when maybe you want to stay in bed sleeping and not listening to the loud enough AC that wakes you up. Also, this comment is general for all hotels but why is there a "please make up room" sign if the room will be made up anyways unless you leave the busy sign outside? It's not an issue if we don't get fresh towels and have a perfectly made up bed each day. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay a lot.

This hotel was in an excellent location. It is right next to the railway station. There is also easy access to buses and taxis. Although these travel facilities are very close by it doesn't detract from the facilities offered by the hotel. It is approx. a 15 min walk to the centre of Salzburg.

The room wasn't overly big but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped. There isn't a fridge in the room, but tea/coffee making facilities are available. The air conditioning seemed to be "disabled" at night which meant that the room was quite hot and you couldn't open the windows as they were locked.

The hotel is right next to the train station. Very Convenient!! The bus stop and taxi queue are right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurants near by and also in the walking distance. The breakfast is ok, nothing special. The room was clean but small. We got the room with two twin beds put together which gave us plenty of room to move around!! The staffs were very helpful and nice!!

Next to the hotel are McDonal and some other small shops with a lot of trash in the front! Did not expect to see it in Salzburg. The air-con was turned off in the middle of the night. We had to get up and turned it back on. Luckily we were there when the temperature was in high 50 and raining so it was not that bad.

1) right next to bus and train main stations. Good for commuting. 2) we were travelling by train hence very close to our arrival / dept points. 2) Erik and Behroze front office staff and hotel room cleaning staff were very good. 3) large comfortable room 4) good range of breakfast

1) every night between midnight and 6.00 am, power of AC's switched off. Every night at 2.00 am, we got up due to discomfort (no air circulation) and switched it on. 2) bed pillows more for show than comfort. Too big and soft. 3) breakfast range good but eggs should vary : fried, scrambled, poached etc. 3) Tea: everyday we got some berry tea and i had to change to English Breakfast. No Earl Grey or stronger. 4) breakfast could not be paid for through booking.com and we paid €15 p.p. Per night. Very expensive.

Perfect for a close stay before catching a train, across the road from the main station. No frills, very quiet with double glazed windows, 15 mins brisk walk to Mirabelle gardens and downtown sights. Many restaurants around. Top tip: if you want to go up the castle and cablecar, grab a taxi at the front of the hotel and he’ll take you right up to the cable car ticket office. Saving you a long walk and get there early to beat the crowds, well worth €20 inc tip and better than any skip the line ticket.

Understaffed, only one person on the desk at any time during our 2 night stay, so don’t be expecting heaps of tourist info or assistance, they are just there for check in check out, and don’t have time, and you might have to wait for a bit during peak hour. But quite pleasant staff none the less

The hotel room and double bed is comfortable. The shower is nice. Daily room service was excellent, complimentary water and Mozart chocolate :) 2 mins walk to Salzburg hbf. Central bus stops and taxis are just in front of the hotel. There are Starbucks, Spar supermarket and a few shops next to the hotel. Mainly the staff is excellent and friendly from reception to housekeeping. I will stay here if I come back to Salzburg thank you!

A lot of drunk / homeless loitering in the front of Salzburg Hbf. I dont understand why they are there everyday / night. Luckily the hotel is very safe and the bus stops and taxis are right in front of the hotel so its very safe!

This hotel has a big advantage - its location! It is situated only a few steps from the central railway station. In the railway station building there is a big Spar shop that works everyday until 23:00! Near the hotel there also a lot of bus stops and therefrom one can travel easily within the city and and to the near beautiful towns. One may also walk to the wonderful Mirabel gardens and to the center of the city relatively easy. The restaurant has a nice view, the food was not very varied , but tasty. Our room was comfy, clean. Every day we have gotten 2 small bottles of mineral water. The staff is friendly.

The big disadvantage of this hotel is also its location. Around the hotel You`ll see a lot of unpleasant personalities, who are drinking alcohol, taking drugs, screaming,begging. This makes the atmosphere unpleasant, but, I hope, not dangerous. In the hotel room, in my opinion, lacks a minibar or refrigerator. And I`d prefer regular bedside tables instead of something strange, that looks like stools with holes! :)

Great location, located right at the train station doorstep which was what we needed when we had a train to catch at 2am! Also about a 15 minute walk to the main attractions and restaurants. You walk through the famous gardens along the way which was a plus. Grocery store inside the station, McDonalds, Starbucks ect. right downstairs. Room was great, very clean and huge bed. The Spa & Gym was great and extremely clean. Breakfast was 8/10, not much variety but everything you need. Recommend arriving at breakfast early as not much was replenished at around 9am. Will be staying again! Staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Outside the station is a little rough with youth and homeless, but we didn’t experience difficulties and there were police around all the time. (24 year old couple).

We turned our Laundry in on Sunday morning to the hotel and were told we’d get it back by Monday afternoon since no laundry on weekends (had a train to catch at 2am Monday night). They use a third party company who said it wouldn’t be ready until Tuesday when we’d be gone - HOWEVER the man at reception was AMAZING and called the company and got our laundry back even though he was very busy with other customers. Life saver! Thank you again.
